Two changes were made from the weekend win over Queen’s Park as Neve Guthrie and Chloe Clemison replaced Nyla Murphy and Rebecca McMillan.
Guthrie came close inside the opening sixty seconds as she fired wide from a Rachel Todd cross.

She turned provider for the opening goal after five minutes as her low cross was turned home by Robyn Smith.
Nine minutes later it was 2-0, Saints keeper Rebecca Cameron inexplicably picking a pass back up and from Tammy Harkin’s indirect free kick Danni McGinley rifled into the back of the net.
McGinley had her second and United’s third in the 17th minute; the league’s top scorer latched onto a long ball before lobbing Cameron from the edge of the box.
After 26 minutes Neve Guthrie made it four as keeper Lauren Perry pinged a ball over the top of the static de-
fence for the attacker to net her fourth goal against the hosts this season.
United kept possession well for the rest of the half as Saints set themselves to damage limitation until the break.
In the second half Rachel Todd hit the side netting against her former side early on.
St Johnstone pulled a goal back on the hour mark as Nicola Jameison headed home from a corner.
Todd fired across the face of goal shortly after but the lead was to be cut again in the 65th minute through Ellie Cowie.
Ten minutes later the three goal lead was restored and unsurpringly it was Jade McLaren rising highest to meet Harkin’s corner and head past Cameron.
United came close to further extending their advantage late on with Harkin and Todd firing over while McGinley saw her opportunity for a hat trick hit the outside of the post. Jameison 60 Cowie 65
