Three late goals saw Dundee United come from behind to continue their unbeaten Park’s Motor Group SWPL2 season last Sunday against Queen’s Park.

Graeme Hart made three changes from Wednesday’s win over Boroughmuir Thistle as Chloe Clemison served a one match ban while Megan Burns was unavailable. Neve Guthrie dropped to the bench with Nyla Murphy, Rebecca McMillan and Robyn Smith stepping up from the bench.

United struggled to get going in the early stages of the game with Nyla Murphy and Danni McGinley failing to find the target.

The Spiders perhaps should have taken the lead just before the half hour mark when a fantastic save from Lauren Perry denied Rachel Connor.

Perry had to look sharp again shortly after to push Abby Callaghan’s effort round the post and keep the game goalless.

After half time the game was not one for the ages as both sides struggled to create chances in the first stages of the half. United were punished in the 65th minute as the visitors deservedly went ahead; Connor’s cross cum shot beating Perry from the edge of the box.

Going behind seemed to galvanise the side as only three minutes later Jade McLaren drilled home her twelfth goal of the season to level the scores.

With fifteen minutes remaining Robyn Smith fired over from a Tammy Harkin corner but it wasn’t long until United pushed themselves in front.

The roles were reversed for an 82nd minute corner as Smith’s corner was poorly headed by a defender allowing Harkin to bury a header of her own past Rhind.

McGinley and Rachel Todd came close to extending the lead late on before Smith hit the base of the post.

The points were signed, sealed and delivered deep into injury time; Cassie Cowper playing a great ball past a static defence and Harkin raced clear to produce a right foot finish into the bottom corner.
