What is Geo-Engineering? Thoughts from the Publisher
See Page 6
See Page 7
What is Geo-Engineering and why can’t the meteorologist talk about it? I too would like to know what the weather forecast will be so I can plan my events and weekends. As I watch the meteorologist on TV as they explain how the low and high pressures or jet stream will affect the day, I head out and nothing happens. Maybe the answer is that they can’t help it because of GeoEngineering.

Support the Hometown Teams It’s much easier to root and hoot for the hometown teams when your favorite team ends the game as winners. Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of South Florida Bulls started off their 2013 seasons as lackluster competitors. I know I have to mourn after a disappointing loss and then have to focus on the next upcoming game with the hopes that our teams will turn things around. Your brain can only hold so much, so I try not to give too much real estate to negative losses. History is just that and you cannot go back in time. I’d rather focus on the wins when I look back in time than rehash defeats. It is tough to spin defeat but I’m hoping that the players and coaching staff learn and improve as the season progresses. Every weekend there are major upsets both on the NFL and NCAA gridiron. Yes,
that famous quote does apply that on “any given Saturday or Sunday any team can be victorious.” No matter whom they are facing, football is a game where a team can spring ahead with turnovers and big plays. Usually, the team that creates the most turnovers and prevents turnovers are the teams that win. They call special teams special because they set up the team with great field position to score touchdowns and field goals. Momentum turns many times during a game and the coaching staff and players have to take advantage of the swings in the game. I’ve been to and watched many games where the outcome is determined in the final seconds. It’s always exciting when your team is on the positive side when the game clock is zero. It is disgruntling when your team is ahead and then loses in the final minutes and seconds of the game. It does work both ways. There is nothing finer than leaving a stadium after a grand win. Wins on Saturdays and Sundays starts my week off on the right foot. I don’t like reading about losses and then listening to talk radio. It is easy to critique when looking back at decisions that
You Matter, Too! Did you know that YOU matter, too? I often come across a most common challenge for women these days during a consultation: we put everyone else before ourselves. We will be the first to admit there just is no energy left or time set aside to take care of ourselves. If all we do is give to others and we don’t take care of ourselves, then who is taking care of us? I am here to remind YOU that person needs to be YOU. It is this ‘missing link’. I hear you! We put everyone else first, leaving our health and fitness last. That is one reason some women in our Community are often struggling with an extra 50 lbs. and, most likely, some serious medical issues are already present or on their way.

were made that affected the outcome of the game. A fan is short for the word fanatical. There are many that are over-the-top fans of their teams and live every play. Football is a spirited game, and I enjoy the pageantry of the game and the spirit that fans show for their teams. The cheerleaders, Sun Dolls, mascot, marching band, and color guard all add to the enjoyment of a live football game. Then there is the TV presentation that you can watch on a flat screen in the comfort of your home or watch with friends at your favorite sports bar. I still cannot believe that the NFL continues to mandate that games are blacked out if the quota of tickets is not sold before a deadline leading up to the game. Blackouts defeat the purpose of creating fan interest and disrupts the continuity of being a loyal and dedicated fan. Not everyone can afford or make every football game. You should be able to follow your favorite team on TV for both home and away games. How many of the Gazette readers have tailgate and homegate traditions? Please
share them with us and email us your traditions, photos, recipes, and stories. We would like to share with our readers. I know that I look forward to putting my game face on out in the parking lot before I enter the stadium. Some fans dig in with their tailgating at the stadium and the extravaganza productions that they orchestrate at their homes. I’m amazed at how many people tailgate outside the stadium before the game. I like to walk the parking lot to check out everyone’s setups, decorations, gear, food, and drink. If you see me in the parking lot, say hi. I’ll take your photograph. Go Bucs! Go Bulls! Jeffrey Neil Fox is a featured columnist for the Gazette Community Papers. Please hear my heart. I am all about family and being there for your family; however, also most important, I want to encourage you not to forget about yourself. When the kids are on their own or you retire or life gets in the way with its unexpected events and you are possibly alone, you are left with the body and health that you have – nurtured or not. I do not want you to look back and wish you would have also taken care of your health at the same time you were being Superwoman. A great thing is today is a new day! We can always start over today, not tomorrow—but today because tomorrow is always tomorrow and we regret what we did not do today.
We have many members in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, and they are all amazed at the awesome fitness in health, body, and spirit they can actually get back. This is the good news: it’s not too late! Ever been on a plane and heard them say, “In the event on an emergency, put your oxygen mask on before assisting others.”? Why? Because YOU need to be able to breathe to help the one sitting next to you. I hear it all the time. “I am really surprised how much better of a mother and wife I am. I am not as moody. I am happier. I am more patient with my family.” When you are healthy, you can handle stress better, be in a better mood, and be less irritated.
Exercise and eating healthier helps you handle stress better. Do something active today and go on a walk! And think about letting us help you create a new life-changing nutrition and exercise plan. Do something for YOU! It’s doing the responsible thing and taking care of yourself—while you are helping others. If you are reading this and thinking, “Where do I start?”—we ARE the help you need and we ARE here for you. Strop struggling and call me—get started now and 2014 can become the healthiest year of your life! Restoring Hope and Healing Anne Childers, Staff Writer
On October 1, 2013, North Tampa Behavioral Health—a private inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment program—opens in Wesley Chapel. It opens not only to the medical community and surrounding communities, but also to individuals and families searching for answers and help with mental health and substance abuse issues. I recently had the opportunity to tour this state-of-the-art facility and to speak with CEO Jim Harris, himself a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. On the day I visited, 75 new employees were gathered for orientation. An additional 100-plus employees will be added to the staff as the demand for services grows. The economic impact NTBH brings to our area is an extra blessing, and the mental health care is long overdue. Upon entering NTBH, I was immediately struck by the bright but calm and welcoming, non-institutional décor. It was obvious no detail had been overlooked for the
comfort and care of future patients. Chairs are upholstered in resilient fabrics that are attractive and inviting. The same chairs are three inches higher in the geriatric wing— immensely important for seniors. There are both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, and the views from the many windows are of nature and natural beauty. Jim Harris is interested in meeting the needs of the community, beginning with inpatient care, partial hospital and intensive outpatient groups, and a mobile assessment unit. There is room to grow as community needs are identified. For now, care is offered to those 18 years old and above. Harris stressed that care will be delivered with the same respect “we would show a guest in our own personal homes.” For information or to visit North Tampa Behavioral Health or schedule a free confidential assessment, call 813-333-0000 or visit the web at www.NorthTampaBehavioralHealth.com.

Keep the Faith
Pastor Bruce Blagg LifeQuest Luke 8 tells the story of a man named Jairus. He has a twelve year old daughter who is very sick. She is dying. As any loving father would, Jairus desperately looks for help. He finds Jesus, falls at his feet, and pleads with him to come to his house and help his daughter. Jesus agrees to go with him. On his way back home, a messenger comes to tell Jairus that it is too late. His daughter is dead. Can you imagine what his heart must have felt hearing those words? It’s too late. There is no hope. It’s over. She’s gone. But Jesus tells him, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” What? How is that possible? Didn’t Jesus hear the messenger? She’s dead! What other alternative is there? Yet Jairus keeps walking with Jesus toward his home, toward an impossible situation, wondering what he will say to his grieving wife. When they arrive, all Jairus’ friends and family are present. They are weeping and wailing. They stare at him. “Why did you still bring Jesus? It is too late. She is dead! Go, hold your wife, and join us in our weeping.”
Jesus turns to them and tells them to stop weeping. “She is not dead. she’s only asleep.” They don’t believe him. They start laughing at him. They know she is dead. Jesus must be a fool to believe otherwise, and Jairus is even more a fool to believe him. But Jairus doesn’t listen to the crowd. He gets his wife and goes into the home with Jesus. Why would Jairus do that? Why put himself and his wife through this ordeal? How can he believe in the face of the obvious? Perhaps he remembers Jesus’ words: “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” What happened? Jesus took the daughter’s hand and said, “My child, get up!” Luke records that her life returned at that moment, and she immediately stood up. Jairus kept his faith in Jesus’ words, and what was dead to him came back to life. Maybe you have a Jairus-type situation in your life. What needs to happen seems impossible. Yet when you pray, you hear God’s voice saying “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.” Everyone around you has given up. They laugh at you when you don’t. Keep the faith. What seems dead can live again. Remember the story of Jairus. Bruce Blagg Pastor, LifeQuest bruceb@thelifequest.com Phone: 813-398-9742 [LifeQuest holds services every Saturday at 7:00 PM at 4207 North Boulevard, Tampa.]

What Is Geo-Engineering? Continued from Page 1
Meteorology is the interdisciplinary scientific study of Earth’s atmosphere. Temperature, air pressure, and water vapor are observable weather events which illuminate and are explained by the science of meteorology. Some of the bizarre weather such as hurricanes, rain, tornadoes, lightning, and especially flooding are termed to be said they are acts of nature, at least that’s what your insurance policy will claim regardless if it’s your health, home, or your property which was destroyed by weather. But if the weather is being manufactured by Geo-Engineering then who is doing the engineering? Some people who already know may say “why talk about it?” There is not much I
can do about that. But your silence doesn’t make it right. By turning a deaf ear to all these things, keeping silent won’t help either. For example, the women’s right to vote and Martin Luther King’s civil rights movements would have never come about if we had kept silent. I’m sure Pontius Pilate could have said, “Jesus, just be quiet.” Have you ever heard the expression “don’t throw your money to the wind”? Well, just look up at the sky, where there’s billons of your tax dollars in chemtrails being sprayed. Not contrails, which is water vapor, that some would have you to believe. As our politicians are keeping the American people in the dark, and the TV meteorologist won’t or can’t talk about it, I’ve decided to turn them off until the meteorologist can explain and say: “Well, we have some heavy chemtrails to the north and the southwest, which may cause flooding in the east.” Until that happens, you may just as well put your head out the window and call it a day. With school starting, the excitement of interscholastic sports is very much present in our school. As a member of the Suncoast Christian Conference, our students participate in volleyball and basketball against other Christian schools in West Central Florida. Having an athletic program is critical to our success as a school. Not only because our students enjoying playing and competing, but because it allows us to teach them about teamwork and selflessness. Understanding that you are just part of the big picture and that everyone must do their best for the betterment of the team is
something we all need to learn in life. What they learn on the court directly relates to their future in the workplace. Being a good teammate, accomplishing your responsibilities, and helping and encouraging others are the basics of being on a team. They are also good qualities to have as an employee. But having an athletic program isn’t cheap. Uniforms, equipment, shoes, referees, fuel, and meals all add up very quickly. We could use your help. Being “Good” Isn’t Good Enough! by Dan Coggins, Northside Bible Church
The general impression many have is that “being a religious person” qualifies one for heaven, Nirvana, salvation, or eternal life. In reality, just “being religious,” “spiritual,” or “good” isn’t enough. Sadly, these may immunize you to the “real disease.” If anyone would be considered an authority on the subject, it would be Jesus Christ. Some of His harshest words were reserved for the religious crowd of His day. They bore the sting of His wrath over many issues. When one of the religious leaders of the nation came to Jesus, he began with an honest compliment. Jesus, however, changed the subject, quickly getting to Nicodemus’ real question. He said, “Unless you are born again, you cannot experience* the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3 * paraphrasing “see” in vs. 3 and “enter” in vs. 5) Nicodemus didn’t understand, thinking Jesus referred to being born a second time

physically. Actually, Jesus pointed out that no matter how religious a person might be (even “the teacher of Israel” verse 10), a family relationship with God was essential! This family relationship with God comes by faith in Jesus Christ. John 1:12 says, “but as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” This means that when we trust (believe) Jesus as God who took on human flesh, died in our place, paid for our sins and rose again, we receive a unique place in God’s forever family. Religion may be good or bad, but it is not the way to be “born again” to become God’s child. Religions usually teach that somehow through our works, effort, or sincerity, we can please God or “make up” for our sins. No religion can do this! Even our best works cannot pay for our sins. Titus 3:5 says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.” Though religions and the religious do much good for which we are thankful, these don’t save anyone, no matter how sincere. It’s ‘OK’ to be observant, but make sure you’re trusting in Jesus alone to save you and not your own works. (See also Ephesians 2:8, 9 and Romans 4:5) If you have questions, or if you would like a free booklet entitled “Religion or Christ” contact us at Northside at 405 Hayes Road, Lutz, FL 33549, call 961-1307, or email us at info@northsidebible.org.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and Dunndeal Publications wants to honor those who dedicate their lives to ministry, such as pastors, associate pastors, youth pastors, or any other pastoral position in your church. You can submit your pastor’s name by going to www.ddpnews.com, where we will be regularly updating the page with a full list of pastors in the months of August thru October. Throughout the month of October, we’ll be honoring these pastors on Dunndeal’s social media pages as well as in the Dunndeal papers. Express appreciation for the time, ser-
vice, and prayers your pastor(s) and their families give for your church and really show appreciation to your pastor(s) and their leadership. God has entrusted them to one of the most important assignments— the care of His flock. We encourage you to choose several names from the list as it is updated and add those names to your daily prayer list. We need to keep them all in our prayers more than ever before. Dunndeal thanks you for your efforts to give encouragement, affirmation, and support, which enables your pastor(s) and their families to further serve the Lord in ministry.

Tips for Organizing On A Budget
Anne Childers, Staff Writer
Organizing your home or office involves more than shopping for inexpensive boxes and bins. Buying organizing systems before you get started may add to existing clutter and chaos. You may already have all kinds of useful items on hand. Putting those items to a new use can add to your organizing, but not to your budget! Susan is a member of The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD). She has also completed the training and testing developed by an independent testing agency, the Board of Certified Professional Organizers, to earn the Certi-
fied Professional Organizer designation. Susan knows really getting organized is more about addressing the emotional relationship you have with your possessions and changing behavior toward what and how you save the items most precious to you and the items you need and want to use every day. There is no one magic formula but multiple options depending on lifestyle, circumstances, and personal preferences. Susan is also available to speak to groups and organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area. Check her website at www.orghelp4u.com or call 813-503-0967 and schedule a consultation.
