An Intentional Touch Pastor Bruce Blagg, LifeQuest
Mark 5 tells the story of a woman, desperate for healing, that reached out in a crowd and touched Jesus. At the moment she did, Jesus realized he had been touched and asked who did it. The disciples’ response is priceless. They said, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’” A lot of people were walking with Jesus, bumping into him, touching him accidentally, but only one intentionally touched him, and in turn, was touched by him. Was it possible this woman was the only one in the crowd in need of a miracle from Jesus? Not likely. Some were oblivious of their need. Others were aware of their need, but never thought his touch might be the answer. Still others may have believed Jesus could do it, but did not feel right in bothering him. It wasn’t

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is Recruiting Volunteers, Partners and Sponsors Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is gearing up for the 26th Annual Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup followed by the Rollin’ on the River Rally on Sept. 21, 2013. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is currently recruiting volunteers, sponsors, and partners to assist with removing litter and debris from our community that consequently ends up in our local waterways. As part of the Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup, data is collected from the event, including the number
You Have 4 Months By Samantha Taylor, Pure Health Studios Yes, it is almost here—January 2014! I say “almost” because you know how fast time goes with the holidays. And with those holidays comes a lot of stress, eating ‘off plan,’ and lack of exercise due to the different schedule. Then people find that when the New Year hits, they have caused more of a problem for themselves and they have even more weight to lose for their New Year’s resolution. Since weight loss and becoming healthier is the #1 resolution, how about if you do something different this year? Why go down that same old path of selfsabotaging your success and having more
work to do next year with getting the weight off? Think about this: if you have 30 lbs. to lose and over these next 4 months, you gain 15 more (which, trust me, is VERY common, usually 10 lbs. during the holidays), you will then have 40 lbs. to lose when 2014 rolls around! Instead, you could do something different this time and actually lose 20 lbs. over these next 4 months (which is only 5 lbs. a month; that is totally doable during the holidays even though you can actually see more like 8 lbs. of weight loss a month). Then when you shout ‘Happy New Year!,’ you only have 20 lbs. to lose!
and type of littered items, the overall tonnage removed, and the amount of recyclable material diverted from each site. This information is used to determine future needs and projects in the area and create an awareness of these needs within the community. As part of the International Coastal Cleanup, data is shared with the Keep America Beautiful, Ocean Conservancy, as well as local officials to help provide a local and global perspective.
After the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to attend the Rollin’ on the River Rally at Lowry Park. The celebration includes a free picnic lunch sponsored by HMSHost, live music, environmental education booths & exhibits, the River Rat Team Challenge, and the Recycle Regatta. For more information on how to get involved with this community improvement event, contact Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful at (813) 221-8733 or dpacker@keeptbb.org.
I have been helping people get healthy and fit for over 20 years as well as myself, and I have come to realize it’s a journey, not a onetime event. And I will continue to work on it for the rest of my life, but it does start with the first step: Decide. You have to decide that you are not going to tolerate for another second living like this— being tired, unhappy, unsocial, feeling tight in your clothes, disappointed in yourself. You have to decide those days are over. I don’t believe that God created us to live on this earth in misery because we won’t take care of our bodies. Prayer is a HUGE thing that helped me overcome my horrible relationship with
food and if you are a believer, it can help you too—but you still have to decide. Make this day your moment. Decide you won’t live like this another day and you are doing something about it. Mark this day on your calendar and do something different. Throw out junk food, go for a walk, or pray about your health. Decide that you are important and that you need to be healthy not only for you but for your family. If you need help, you can also decide to finally call me—today—right now! I encourage you to stop ‘thinking about it’—just do it. The next 4 months can be life-changing! I’m waiting at 813-909-4939.

Percy Boomer is Golf’s Most Influential Teacher
Jim Dent/Rick Bradshaw’s Tour Experience Golf School
61.” Percy centered his teaching on the feeling of producing what he called a centrifugal swing, much the same movements felt by a track and field hammer throw contestant. Boomer’s swing movement focused on the feeling of how a rotary body movement could produce effortless power. He focused on the inner force felt in his hips, core, and shoulders as his feet and legs stabilized the gyroscopic effect. Boomer compared the golf swing to “the drawing of arcs with a pair of compasses. The reason that we cannot be so precise in our stroking as the compass can, are that we are supported on two legs instead of one and we are full of flexions and joints.” I really enjoy hearing the great PGA Tour Professional, Paul Azinger, referring to Percy Boomer’s brilliance during British Open telecasts stating, “the power at golf—the gasoline—is represented by the nails in our shoes,” how the power is applied through the hips which Boomer referred to as a clutch in a car, and that “the hands we can compare with spark plugs—get them operating too soon or too late in the cycle of operations and your swing backfires!” When reading Percy Boomer’s On Learning Golf, be prepared for genius like no other golf instructor has written. The book is deeply filled with content. After reading Boomer over 500 times and having committed it to memory, the answers to the modern day golf swing are within. Any questions on Boomer, please ask tourexp@aol.com.
Several years ago, Golf Illustrated ranked Percy Boomer as golf’s most influential teacher of all time. The list was rather illustrious as number two was Ben Hogan, followed by teaching greats such as Ernest Jones, Bob Toski, and John Jacobs, just to mention a few. Having spent over 35 years studying and reading thousands of golf instruction books and teaching philosophies, I find this selection well-warranted and proudly consider myself an adamant disciple and expert of Percy Boomer’s golf swing teaching philosophy. Mr. Boomer was born in the Isle of Jersey in Great Britain, wrote his only golf instruction book, On Learning Golf, in 1942, and was published in the United States in 1946. The importance of Boomer’s instruction laid the foundation for how golf professionals as well as recreational golfers can study books and videos that have been produced over the past few decades on the most efficient way to swing the golf club. What is remarkable is that Percy Boomer’s instructional wisdom blossomed without the use of modern day technology that is used today to study the golf swing. The reason for this excellence is that Boomer focused his instruction on what he felt, what his students felt, and what Aubrey Boomer—his Rick Bradshaw, Director of Instruction brother—felt during the golf swing. 2004/2006 North Florida Section PGA Aubrey Boomer was a great golfer, fin- Teacher of the Year ishing second to Bobby Jones in the British 813-220-8099 Open, and nicknamed “The Boy Who Shot www.tourexperience.com
How to Build a Website in 6 Steps Ginger Rockey-Johnson, Spice Girl of Tampa Bay
1) - Domain Name A domain name provides branding for your site and makes it easier for people to remember the URL, such as “dunndealpublications.com.” But domain names cost money, typically between $8 and $35 a year. You can purchase a domain name through several sources. I use GoDaddy.com. 2) - Hosting Hosting is where you put your website and all the web pages. The first thing you’ll want to do is find a web hosting provider. Most people gravitate to free web hosting without too much thought, but there are drawbacks to free hosting. You don’t always get as much space, you might be required to run their ads on your site, or there may be bandwidth limits. Do yourself a favor and pay the $5 - $6 per month for a small hosting account and add as you grow. You’ll be glad you did. 3) Design Your Website Once you’ve gotten a domain and decided on your URL, you can start planning your site. For many businesses, a WordPress platform is the best choice. It is known for its ease of use, easy design changes, and you do not have to know any special coding. Custom designs you may need help with, but updating and adding content can be done as easy as typing on a Word document. There are other platforms that are also available but which may require webmasters as well as more advanced understanding of coding languages, such as PHP, HTML, CSS, and other website languages. 4) - Build Your Website Page by Page
Building a website requires that you work on one page at a time. So before you start, make sure you know how you want it to look. Navigation on the side? Top? What is the primary navigation or tabs that you want your visitors to see? 5) Promote Your Website The easiest way to promote your website is through search engine optimization or SEO. You build your web content so that it ranks well in search engines. This can be very difficult & time-consuming but can provide good results if you work at it. Other ways to promote your site include word of mouth, email, and advertising. You should include your URL on all professional correspondence and whenever it makes sense in personal messages. I put my URL in my email signature along with my email address. 6) Maintain Your Website Maintenance can be the most boring part of website design, but in order to keep your site going well and looking good, you need to do it. Testing your site as you’re building it and then after it’s been live for a while is important. And you should also work on content development on a regular basis. Let’s talk about that next month! Email them in and I’ll answer your question next month! http://www.facebook.com/socialmediatodaywithspicegirloftampabay Listen weekly for how-to instructions on Social Media & Internet Marketing Strategies. http://www.SpiceGirlofTampaBay.com Done-For-You Social Media for Businesses.

Hope Children’s Home
“Suffer the little children to come unto me.” With the continuing degeneration of society and Satan’s relentless attack on the family, it shouldn’t be a surprise when you hear about the number of calls we receive about children in crisis situations. From the standpoint of our ministry, we’ve seen this decay in our society have an enormous effect on the age of children we now care for. For instance: • In 2001, seven children in our care were under 12 years old – the vast majority were teens. • Today, we care for 49 children under the age of 12. • 25 of those 49 are under the age of six
with several infants. This change in demographics has required us to hire more staff and create a daycare and nursery function within the ministry. With those changes come different needs: car seats, bottles, diapers, Enfamil, etc. are now on the list. We also need cribs, high chairs, diaper pails, changing tables… and the list goes on. All in all, we need to spend over $5,000 to expand the nursery and purchase the items needed to care for the younger children. Since we don’t receive state or federal monies to operate, it is taking some time to turn the ship. We need your help. If you’d like to

Football Season Is Here
Article and photography by Jeffrey Neil Fox
September marks the beginning of the football season for both the NFL and the NCAA. This is the time of year when fans young and old have high expectations of their favorite professional and collegiate team. If you live close to Tampa, you just have to root for and support the hometown teams. We are fortunate to call the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of South Florida Bulls our own. We just cannot take having these teams in our backyard for granted. Speculation is rampant as to whether this will be the year that the Buccaneers will make another playoff appearance, or will this be another rebuilding year in preparation for the return of a dynasty down the road. Fans are restless and want their Pewter Pirates to fight their way to the playoffs and then represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. This time of year, the mission is the same for all 32 NFL teams. A Super Bowl championship is on every player’s mind and is their objective. The teams that have the burning desire and do what it takes to be champions will be the victors. It is difficult to predict which two teams will still be standing when the big game is played in February. This year’s venue for the Super Bowl will be in New Jersey. The game is played during the height of the winter in an outdoor stadium.
WINNERS!
Many factors play a role in which teams will win and which teams will come up short when the final tick comes off the clock at the end of the fourth quarter. Football is a vicious game by definition, and in every game, players gets hurt. Many players endure season-ending injuries. Then there are many aggravating injuries that players have to play through and look forward to the bye week or offseason to fully recover. The coaching staff has an earnest responsibility of assembling a roster that has experienced depth at every position. Young players are thrown into the heat of battle and must be prepared to perform at a high level. Many backup players become starters after performing well when they are called on to perform for the player that they are backing up. That’s football. Every player has to be ready to play at a high level when their name is called to run out onto the field and contribute. There are many question marks on this year’s Buccaneer roster. A few games into the season will tell whether some of the high profile roster moves will prove to be a prudent and worthwhile decision. It’s easy to look back when evaluating players. We do have many marquee experienced players on this year’s team.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and Dunndeal Publications wants to honor those who dedicate their lives to ministry, such as pastors, associate pastors, youth pastors, or any other pastoral position in your church. You can submit your pastor’s name by going to www.ddpnews.com, where we will be regularly updating the page with a full list of pastors in the months of August thru October. Throughout the month of October, we’ll be honoring these pastors on Dunndeal’s social media pages as well as in the Dunndeal papers. Express appreciation for the time, ser-
vice, and prayers your pastor(s) and their families give for your church and really show appreciation to your pastor(s) and their leadership. God has entrusted them to one of the most important assignments— the care of His flock. We encourage you to choose several names from the list as it is updated and add those names to your daily prayer list. We need to keep them all in our prayers more than ever before. Dunndeal thanks you for your efforts to give encouragement, affirmation, and support, which enables your pastor(s) and their families to further serve the Lord in ministry.
Hopefully, Coach Schiano has assembled the correct cast of players and has prepared his team be victorious for each and every game. I’m a perennial optimist. Will this be the year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? The University of South Florida Bulls have a new coach in Willie Taggert. Coach Taggert is the third coach the USF Bulls have had since the team began. The college game is totally different then the professional and has different dynamics. I do know that winning will fill Raymond James Stadium. It has been awhile that both the Bucs and Bulls have had brilliant seasons. The fans of Tampa Bay are ready and this town rejoices when the teams play exciting, smashmouth football and win football games. Tailgate and homegating season is here.
Many fans dig in early before the game in the parking lot and get ready for the game inside the stadium with good food, drink, and camaraderie with other fans. Many fans prepare festive meals and drink in the privacy of their home and watch the game on their flat screen TV. I’m looking forward to the day when every seat in the stadium has a fan in it so every game will be televised both home and away. I’m rooting and hooting for the hometown teams. How about you? the right time. After all, he was walking to an important engagement at the time. Aren’t we sometimes the same way? We often are oblivious to our real inner needs. We can be so religious we fail to perceive our need for intimacy with Christ. Maybe we feel our need, but are so busy trying to meet it on our own that we haven’t taken time to allow Jesus’ love to touch us. Perhaps we don’t believe that he will do it now, today. We are waiting for the right moment, the right service, or the right person to pray. But there was one woman who did touch him. She was healed. She was recognized. She was blessed. And she left in peace. How do I know? Because Jesus said in verse 34, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” Jesus
not only touched her physical need, but her emotional and spiritual need as well. How about you today? Are you walking with Jesus, unintentionally “bumping” into him when circumstances cause it? Or are you intentionally trying to touch Jesus, to experience him in a very real and personal way? To see him as the source for what you really need in life? He is here, in the crowd of our day. Take the time. Be intentional. Reach out with your heart. Touch him. He will respond, and neither you nor your day will be the same. In Florida, summer is not over because school starts; pool toys and sports equipment just share space with backpacks, books, and papers. In most homes, that shared space is limited, but an expert professional organizer can help maximize storage possibilities. From kindergarten to college and beyond, the amount of organization required to keep things in order can be daunting—important items and information can be lost or misplaced. Then, before you know it, the holidays are approaching, bringing additional organizational challenges. Don’t get overwhelmed—call a professional! Certified Professional Organizer Susan Layden, president
of Susan’s Organizing Solutions, LLC, knows there is no one magic formula, but multiple options, customized for each individual, depending on lifestyle, circumstances, and personal preferences. Susan can help you end chaos, find peace, and create order in your home or business. Organization is especially critical in times of change, relocation, or loss to help maintain productivity and reduce stress. Check her website at www.orghelp4u.com or call 813-5030967 and schedule a consultation. Susan is also available to speak to groups and organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Vacation “Theology” You may be surprised to learn that God has a “vacation theology,” but there is also a “vacation heresy”! Our Father is concerned with how we spend every moment of our lives, so we shouldn’t be surprised that He wants us to use vacation time well. But what constitutes “well”? Jesus reveals the basis for this doctrine in Mark 6:31 when He said, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest awhile.” His disciples had just returned from a strenuous time of proclaiming His message. They had also recently heard of the death of John the Baptizer in prison.

Dan Coggins, Pastor, Northside Bible Church
To top it off, “there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.” Jesus knew they needed a rest, some “time off” and away from the challenges of their ministry routine. He understood them: their spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional makeup. We too need rest and an opportunity for “re-creation”. Vance Havner summarized this by saying, “we must come apart lest we come apart!” It is important that we find a way to allow the Lord to restore our spirits and enthusiasm for life. Vacation time can help us gain a different perspective on the rest of the year and refresh us for the challenges that will certainly come our way. There are some dangers however. For every truth of God there is at least one heresy. Christians may be guilty of the common American compulsion to “play at our
work and work at our play.” More energy and planning often goes into the one to three weeks of vacation time than to the remainder of the year. Sometimes our plans or expectations exceed the promise that time off can provide. We try to do so much and miss the “recharge” we need. Goals or hopes are not met. We return disappointed or more tired than when we left. The root of this may be leaving God out of our vacation plans. Failing to consider what would be the best for us and our family spiritually as well what we’d enjoy recreationally. I’m not suggesting that your vacation must be confined to visiting historic churches, going to religious retreats, or getting involved with short-term mission projects. Consult God and brainstorm with the family BEFORE calling AAA or the travel agency. You may “deserve a break,” but why not
go to the One who knows what kind of break you need? Our God is called “the God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3). Though this refers directly to aid in the trials of life, I believe He wants to help us have the best vacation time we can have. Whether that time is at the beach, in the mountains, around the world, or around the block. Whether it is for two weeks, a month, or just two days, the best time is time spent with Him in the place and doing what He wants us to do while “making the most of the time” (Ephesians 5:16). This year’s vacations can be the best ever! Give Him a chance. If you would like to have a free booklet on how to make the most of your life, Contact: ANSWERS/Northside Bible Church, 405 Hayes Road, Lutz, FL. Phone # (813) 9611307 or www.northsidebible.org.
