In celebration of the 152nd Open Championship, we’ve crafted two exceptional award winning single malt whiskies.

The Open Special Edition is a unique single malt, crafted in partnership with our golf ambassador, Colin Montgomerie. Aged in American Oak casks and finished in Chardonnay wine casks. Bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered.

This single malt delivers the signature Loch Lomond Style of orchard fruits, honey & vanilla, and soft smoke. The finish in 1st fill Chardonnay wine casks complement our style and gives vibrant peach & pear notes, blossom honey, and a spiced oak finish.

Additionally, our exclusive Open Course Collection features a 24-year-old single malt, matured in American Oak and finished in Manzanilla sherry butts, with only 4500 bottles available globally.

Ingredients:

• 1oz of Deanston VO

• 6oz of Soda Water

• Lemon wedge

• Ice

Method:Fill glass with ice, pour in Deanston VO. Top with good quality soda. Stir. Garnish with lemon.

OLD FASHIONED

Ingredients:

• 1oz of Deanston VO

• 1 brown sugar cube

• 2 drops of Angostura Bitters

• Orange Peel

• Splash of water Method: Crush and mix together sugar cube and bitters with a splash of water. Drop in some ice and VO. Give it a good stir AND count to 10. Add a squeeze of orange zest and twist to garnish.

Laphroaig Elements is a series of whiskies that delves into the artistry of production that makes Laphroaig’s whisky so richly avoured and characterful.

Experimentation in single malt is often reserved more for cask maturation, than distillation changes. However, the Elements series was brought about by investigating how our whisky character evolves when distillation methods are tweaked at our distillery on Islay. To create Elements 2.0, the second edition to the collection, the Laphroaig distillery team were given free rein to produce something unexpected that embodies the Laphroaig pro le while adding new dimensions of avour.

In this second release, we explore the effect of an extended fermentation process on our characterful malt.

Distilled during a particularly frosty January, instead of the usual 55 hour- fermentation, this whisky is created from a number of longer fermentations, ranging up to almost 5 full days in the tun, a total of 115 hours, specially aerated to maintain mash conditions, like practices of old. This unprecedented fermentation emphasises the fruitier notes of our Islay single malt, whilst maintaining our signature peaty character.
