Nestled in a valley beneath the wild and breathtaking Cairngorms mountain range in the Highlands of Scotland, the Cairngorm Gin Company was established in 2019. As one of Scotland’s progressive micro-distilleries, they passionately distil and bottle their small batch premium spirit using only the finest botanicals and crystal clear water from the River Spey. Owner and distiller Jack Smith has a unique approach to flavour with his background as a chef. Having worked alongside a number of leading Michelin-star chefs, but with a deepening passion for Scottish gin, an idea formed to create a premium gin that truly captured the essence of the stunning Highland environment he’d grown up in.
All his gins are small batch and the range now has four products, each with their own distinct personality, in many ways representing the journey from the top to the base of the Cairngorm Mountain. The coming year will bring a number of exciting new developments for the Cairngorm Gin Company and the local area.

In January 2023, ecoSPIRITS jointly launched closed loop service in the United Kingdom, with two iconic brands – Cointreau orange liqueur and Mount Gay Eclipse rum – made available in co-branded ecoTOTE™ format for on-trade venues.
Many London venues, such as the four-strong Mexican restaurant chain, El Pastor, have seen a significant reduction in single use glass waste by taking Cointreau in ecoTOTE format. In recent months Cointreau in ecoTOTE format was rolled out across The Alchemist’s key London sites with plans to cover all 23 of The Alchemists locations nationwide by December 2024. Meanwhile, many iconic venues across the UK, such as the awardwinning cocktail bar and rum lounge, Trailer Happiness, have been taking delivery of Mount Gay rum in ecoTOTE format.
