BiograPhies aLDO cIPuLLO The designer of some of the most iconic jewels of the 20th century, aldo cipullo created a number of cartier’s most enduring styles. The Love bracelet, symbolic in that it requires some work to put on, and similarly, some effort to get out of, endures as one of cipullo’s masterstrokes. The recently revitalized “clou” nailform jewels are striking and amusing while continuing to bring an edginess to the jewellery box. cipullo’s association with cartier remains an important time of innovation, bringing together striking ideas and forms in gold and gem materials. aLeTTO bROS Famous for the creation of fine jewellery and the use of exceptional gems, aletto brothers can trace their roots back to the turn of the 19th century, when current director, alfredo aletto’s great grandfather was commissioned to create a special jewel to commemorate the opening of the eiffel Tower. a family business, multiple generations embrace the opportunities that a smaller world offers, internationally seeking interesting and exceptional gems to incorporate into beautifully crafted jewels. auDeMaRS PIGueT In 1875 Jules Louis audemars, with edward auguste Piguet, joined together to combine their skills and knowledge to produce precise and complex timepieces. audemars Piguet remains in the hands of the founding families.
