In operation since 1996, Durango Dog Ranch in Hesperus runs highend dog-sled adventures for people of all ages. These 2-hour tours begin at one of three locations: the ranch in Hesperus, trails in Mancos or at Molas Pass, and they place the participant in the driver’s seat. The cost is $375 per sled, which includes a mushing lesson before the trip. Guests must book a reservation online or over the phone at least 12 hours in advance.
