WELCOME!

Dear Durango Friends & Autumn Arts Festival Guests,

Welcome to the 26th Annual Durango Autumn Arts Festival! The Durango Arts Center (DAC) Is proud to have presented this special event for 26 years, showcasing the diverse talents of artists and craftspeople who hail from our local region and from across the country. Selected through a competitive juried process, this year DAC is thrilled to have 90 booths offering our festival patrons and community so much to enjoy. The festival has been modified for the safety of all who participate, from the removal of the food court (please enjoy food from the downtown restaurants instead) and live entertainment, to the inclusion of hand sanitizing stations, distancing between the artists booths, and the requirement of face masks. The event has been certified by San Juan Basin Public Health and we know that we are going to be able to enjoy a safe, robust and beautiful fall festival weekend. As DAC’s largest event fundraiser, the Durango Autumn Arts Festival would not be possible without the continued and incredible support of the many local business sponsors and in-kind donors who help make this event a high quality special experience for artists, volunteers, and guests alike. DAC is especially grateful to our renewed premier sponsor, First Southwest Bank, whose spectacular building anchors the festival at College Drive. Lastly, we are so appreciative to our volunteers who dedicate enthusiasm, skill and time to ensuring smooth festival operations, without whom this event would not be possible! It is DAC’s honor to celebrate another year of fine arts and crafts with our community.

Our thoughts go out to the individuals, families, and businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. As a locally owned community bank, First Southwest Bank (FSWB) has been busy embracing our core values — People & Culture First, Lead Fresh Ideas, and Make A Difference — while working around the clock to provide our customers and community members with timely and relevant services and relief efforts for their rural Colorado small businesses. A huge thank you to all our staff for stepping up, going the extra mile, and providing our communities with unwavering support during these unprecedented times. Along with our nonprofit partner First Southwest Community Fund, we have been diligently working to create and deploy numerous relief and recovery grants and loans for small business owners and entrepreneurs across Colorado. For more information on these programs please visit fswb. bank and fswcf.org.

We are thrilled to still be able to support such an impactful neighborhood event as the Autumn Arts Festival has become — even during our community’s continued need to social distance — and are committed to the creative businesses and cultural opportunities on our home street of Second Avenue. As the only bank in the Four Corners region designated as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) – a certification from the United States Treasury for banks that provide access to unique financial projects and funding sources to help grow our communities — First Southwest Bank is eager to continue to invest in the creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs of the Four Corners. As a CDFI bank, we are focused on cultivating valuable relationships, investing in economic and social Doers, and fostering a well-lived rural Colorado culture. Energizing innovators in our community is in our core, and the Autumn Arts Festival is just one way we pursue this mission.

Thank you and enjoy the festival!
