Come home and relax. It’s as simple as that; as soon as you cross one of the bridges to the island, you bathe in the tranquillity. The detached villas and semi-detached houses stand in generous plots, each with its own parking spaces in the grounds. Once inside, you are actually immediately outside again, as the large windows offer a superb view of the garden and the water. Prepare dinner and then relax and enjoy a delicious glass of wine on your waterside terrace. Freedom!

Design

Strolling through the English county town of Chester, you can still see much of the original Tudor architecture. A source of inspiration for many architects, who have incorporated the numerous embellishments of the Tudor style into their designs. This can be seen in the brick arches, stepped gables and slim, turreted decorative elements on roofs and windows. You will immediately recognise the romance of the original style in TudorPark and Shakespeare Island, but then applied in a contemporary fashion, to ensure the houses comply with the high demands we make of our home these days.

Henry VIII was King of England from 1509 to 1547. He was from the House of Tudor and is famous as the prototype of the self-confident Renaissance monarch.

The Tudors made England a powerful Renaissance nation. Between 1485 and 1603, English literature, science, architecture and trade flourished under the reign of the Tudors. From 1541 to 1603, they also ruled Ireland.

Drive over bridges and along winding streets lined with a variety of trees and experience the romantic atmosphere. Before you know it, you have crossed one of the Tudor-style bridges onto your own island. Just one street and only local traffic. Here, nothing disturbs the peace and quiet you may be longing for. What a bonus, too, that children can play safely outdoors. Driving fast is impossible here and access is limited to those living on the island and their visitors. Each of the detached and semi-detached homes stand in a generous plot of between 270 and 452 m². The front gardens are being planted with green hedges and there are two parking spaces in the grounds.

“ Just over five years ago, our firm started its quest for a contemporary Tudor style. After reading up about this sixteenth-century architectural style, our development and design team travelled to England to study the original buildings. Characteristic of this architectural style is its natural originality. The design is so powerful that it almost appears to not be a design at all. In addition, the buildings exhibit a wealth of crafted detail, producing a romantic unity. Our challenge was to work out how to use these elements to create a contemporary Tudor home. During the first few buyers’ meetings, we discovered that we were not the only ones with a love for the Tudor style. Together with potential buyers, we followed a process that combined their intuition

and wishes with our knowledge. The enthusiasm and interaction between buyers, landscape architects, architects, developers and builders have made TudorPark a collection of contemporary treasures. The terraced properties are designed like a manor house, its undulating guttering interrupted by an authentic chimney. The detached and semi-detached homes have risen from the typical English countryside. Elements such as fretwork, special brickwork, entrance gates, bays and white accents give all the buildings an individual character. Specially-designed Tudor bricks and a mixture of roof tiles bring cohesion to the neighbourhood. A stand-alone, unique piece of the Netherlands is evolving in TudorPark”.

The lovely TudorPark is coming to life. A rich variety of new houses has now been built. The residents enjoy living in a neighbourhood with a highly-individual signature: that of the English countryside with Tudor-style manor houses. TudorPark is located in Hoofddorp. A town with a rich history, within the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. Where once there was a large expanse of water, some 75,000 people now enjoy living. They like Hoofddorp because it offers them the best of two worlds. Here, you can choose between the friendly bustle of the town and the tranquillity of the varied countryside around Hoofddorp.

Geographically, Hoofddorp is in an extremely interesting place. Here, you are living in between Amsterdam, Leiden, Zandvoort and the Westeinderplassen Lakes. Both town and country are, therefore, always close at hand. Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is also nearby. Over the years, the range of facilities in Hoofddorp has expanded tremendously and the town now has much to offer in the way of sport, shops, entertainment, catering, healthcare and education.

Tudor Park is situated on the south side of Hoofddorp. In Toolenburg South, to be precise, right next to the Toolenburg recreational lake. The lake’s water is reflected in the district, combined with plenty of green, with numerous children’s playgrounds scattered throughout.

There are various points where you can drive in and out of the area, such as Bennebroekerweg and the Sport Park. The meandering 30 km road leads to the various neighbourhoods. Using the bridge connection, you can easily cycle to Toolenburgerplas Lake and Toolenburg.

The Toolenburgerplas Lake is very nearby. You are sure to become a regular visitor. Walking, enjoying sports or relaxing on the beach and, at the end of the day, dining at one of the two waterside restaurants. Zandvoort can also, incidentally, be reached surprisingly quickly. Shakespeare Island will offer 22 very large semidetached houses with a living space of between 172 m² and 230 m². Each home has two parking places in the grounds and a large waterside deck terrace. The colour and shape distinctions between the semi-detached houses gives a varied aspect. While one house has a large, stylish kitchen, another has a nine-metre-wide living room. There are houses with bay windows, dormers and outbuildings with a sloping roof. Naturally, there is a permanent cohesion. Each home features charming Tudor details. KITCHEN AND SANITARY FACILITIES

A newly-built home has many benefits: you organise your own layout, you choose your sanitary fittings and kitchen and, for the time being, they will require no maintenance. Moreover, new-build homes are energy efficient and therefore economic.

Outdoors is brought inside with the big windows, which provide plenty of light and afford an unobstructed view of the garden. The garden all around and to the back, with its waterside terrace, gives an ultimate feeling of freedom. To guarantee the high-quality experience, we have taken the following measures.

A wonderful kitchen and luxury bathroom are, naturally, indispensable in these homes. Entirely to your taste or would you prefer something different? Anything is possible. The homes are delivered with the following as standard:

• The houses are equipped with a mechanical ventilation system, so you can enjoy an extremely pleasant interior climate. • Homes on Shakespeare Island are being fitted with underfloor heating on each floor, with a lowtemperature system. In the bathroom, though, we fit a heated towel rail. • A new-build home is constructed in accordance with the latest safety requirements. Our homes all comply with the Dutch Police Mark of Approval for Safe Housing. This is reflected in the burglar-proof locks and hinges. • In addition, with a new-build home you have low energy bills, due to excellent insulation and solar roof panels.

TECHNOLOGY Tudor Park has a high level of technology. A fibre-optic network as standard ensures rapid internet connections throughout the house. • The aesthetically-designed wall sockets are fitted at a height of 30 cm. • Switches and switch and socket combinations are fitted at around 105 cm from floor level. • In the kitchen, wall sockets are fitted above the counter at roughly 125 cm from floor level. All switches and sockets are white.

• Hard-wood exterior door and window frames throughout. • Aluminium/metal drainpipes fixed with brackets. • Photovoltaic panels, largely out of sight. The PV system comprises a series of solar panels connected to a transformer. This converts the energy generated into alternating current. The number of PV panels depends on the orientation with regard to the sun and the size of the house.

• The luxury Siematic kitchen is fitted with a minimum of 5 Siemens appliances. • The sanitary fittings are by Villeroy & Boch and the taps are from the HansGrohe brand. • The sanitary areas are tiled with beautiful, white 300 x 600 mm MOSA wall tiles. • 600 x 600 mm anthracite ceramic tiles adorn the floors of the sanitary areas. • All bathrooms have a shower corner as standard. They are fitted with a bathtub, drainage channel with stainless steel grille, thermostatic shower and bath mixer tap and handbasin.

INDOORS The quality of finishing and the material choices in the houses is impressive. The underfloor heating on each floor is, in any event, standard and that is guaranteed to please everyone at home. There is also a high degree of freedom for accommodating your personal wishes into your new home.A solid foundation has been laid. • The ceiling height on the ground floor is 2.60 metres. • All homes have hardwood interior frames with flush doors. • The walls are finished ready for painting (finishing class in accordance with group 2). • The bathroom walls are tiled up to ceiling height, including the toilet. • The houses are equipped with smoke alarms. These are connected to the electricity mains and fitted with a battery in case of a power failure. The smoke alarms are interconnected. • There is no gas connection in the kitchen; it is enclosed in the meter cupboard.

PARKING AND STORAGE How wonderful it is to come home and be able park your car in your own drive. In this segment you can expect the necessary convenience and luxury. • Each home on Shakespeare Island has space for parking 2 cars in the grounds. • Most homes have indoor storage space, while others have a stand-alone wooden storage shed in the garden. Naturally, the storage shed is also designed in Tudor style, with a sloping roof.
