Invitation to participate in the 4th Investment and Trade Initiative to Brazil, 2-5 October 2012 Dear exporter, the dti invites you to apply to participate in the 4th Investment and Trade Initiative (ITI) to the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais in Brazil from 2-5 October 2012. The 4th Investment and Trade Initiative will be showcasing South Africa’s expertise in specialised products and services. South African companies have developed highly specialized skills and products and there are various opportunities for South African companies to market their expertise and collaborate in projects with Brazilian companies. The ITI will focus on showcasing South Africa’s diverse range of capabilities to produce world class products and services in the following sectors: -
Mining capital equipment; Automotive components; Safety and Security and; Defence and Aerospace;
Companies will be screened and selected in line with EMIA guidelines and market requirements, which are explained in the EMIA guidelines document. For the approved companies, the dti will provide: A subsistence allowance of R 2 000 per day. An economy class return airfare to a maximum of R 13 000 An excess baggage allowance of R 2 000 per approved participant (for samples and marketing material) Companies that are not eligible for EMIA funding are welcome to participate in the ITI at their own expense.
