Youth Day sport scores points against crime

Youngsters from all over the Overstrand congregated at the Zwelihle Sports Centre to compete in soccer, boxing and netball. Dressed in their sporting outfits the children and teams gave it their all in the hope of being one of the lucky recipients of a glimmering trophy. The day was organised by Western Cape Police and Zwelihle Renewal.

SAPS Overberg Cluster Commander, Brig. Donovan Heilbron said he was very impressed by the attendance and involvement of the community. “It was a most constructive and enjoyable day, and we look forward to working with the community next year to make the event even bigger.”
