Smiles all around as first fibre connections go live

It was big smiles all around last week as the first Hermanus residents their fibre connections installed.

“It was a momentous occasion, not only for our clients, but also for Hermanus. Not only is everyone delighted to finally have a super-fast internet connection, but they are overjoyed with the fact that it is reliable and cost effective,” said Hannes Pieterse, Managing Director of fibre installers company, Lightstruck.

Test fibre connections were installed into the first three homes in Northcliff and Eastcliff last Thursday, where they were welcomed by happy home owners. The first home to have it installed was William Lane’s in Luyt Street, Eastcliff. His son, Dylon was at the house when they installed it. “I am super excited and can’t wait to try it,” he said excitedly.
