Home to the Tollman, family-owned, Bouchard Finlayson Vineyard and Winery, the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley is deined by the backdrop of magniicent mountains and the roar of the wild oceans. Wine tasting
Taste a selection of our nine hand-crafted wines, while savouring a scrumptious Deli Platter, served on the terrace overlooking the vineyards, or in the cellar. Served on wooden boards made from old barrels, the platters are laden with salami, mild Gruberg cheese, Colby cheese, ciabatta, estate olive oil, olives, olive tapenade and mixed nuts. Renowned for Pinot Noir (and Chardonnay), vintages of this path-blazing wine continue to relect a celebration of Pinot-crafting, endorsing the Hemel-en- Aarde (Heaven-and-Earth) Valley as a jewel in the search for excellence with this illusive grape. Exclusive tutored tastings of older vintages are available to small groups, providing a first-hand experience of the incredible maturation potential of the wines. The tasting includes various vintages of our award-winning Pinot Noir, served with our delicious Deli Platter.
Nature walk with Frank Woodvine
Bouchard Finlayson has more than 100 hectares of protected fynbos that includes in excess of 330 plant species. Guests may book guided nature walks, ranging from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours, with our resident environmentalist, Frank Woodvine. The nature trails are also available to hikers to use, free of charge after they have collected maps and signed indemnity forms at the cellar door.
