In Appreciation of
Adena Health Systems 2020 Friend of 4-H
Our 2020 Ross County Friend of 4-H Organization began in a small brick house in downtown Chillicothe and is now known to us as Adena Health System. From this modest beginning, they have grown tremendously to provide stateof-the art medical care within 12 Ohio counties. Many 4-H advisors and families are employed through, or under the care of, Adena Health Systems. Beyond health care for Ross County residents, Adena Health System, proactively invests in the health and wellness of our community in numerous ways. They have been a strong supporter of the Ross County 4-H program for years, financially donating over $23,000. This sponsorship has been used to provide educational materials in the form of 4-H project books for all enrolled members. In so doing, our 4-H families have not had the financial burden of having to purchase the project and resource books necessary for their enrollments which can cost from $6.00 to $19.00 each. The sponsorship dollars have also been used to further educational events such as Livestock Skillathon, a handson activity involving livestock production topics and Quality Assurance, a training focusing on responsible livestock production practices. For years, Adena has also stepped up to support youth through our Jr. Fair livestock sales.
We are thrilled to have a local health system so invested in our youth development program.
Congratulations and many thanks to Adena Health Systems, the Ross County Friend of 4-H, now and into the future!
