Best Treatment for Glaucoma
Types of Glaucoma & its Symptoms: There are two types of Glaucoma: 1. Chronic Open-angle Glaucoma – The drainage angle of the eye becomes less efficient and pressure within eye can damage to the optic nerve. In early stages, vision remains normal. These blank spot won’t be notice in day-to-day activities until these spots become large. There are no symptoms in this type of glaucoma. 2. Closed-angle Glaucoma – Some eyes are formed with the iris too close to the drainage angle. The iris may be sucked into the drainage angle and block it completely. Since the fluid cannot exit the eye, pressure inside the eye builds rapidly and it causes a closed-angle attack. The symptoms may include Blurred vision, severe eye pain and Rainbow – colored halos around lights. The most common risk factors for Glaucoma include elevated eye pressure, family history of glaucoma, past eye injuries.
