Shot within the stunning venue of The Mount Without in the heart of Bristol, this shoot juxtaposes the ethereal abandoned church setting with the warmth of true love and dedication blossoming between our couple, Carl & Jack, to truly put style in the church aisle. With the glow of the colourful stained glass windows beaming down upon the setting, the classy décor sets the scene for a stylish and lavish celebration. Warming pillar candles and a stunning autumnal foliage installation winds round the altar to create a shrine of love to worship our stunning couple.

Beech leaves and dahlias combine to form a breathtaking display of dark and moody colours; the perfect backdrop for this imposing venue. Gilded candelabras, crystal-cut glassware and baby pink tapered candles make up the tablescape, enriched by deep burgundy fabrics and soft pink roses, as if plucked straight from a Dickensian novel. The simple neutral stationery, from the menu to the signage, shines amongst the excessive styling as a reminder that we are gathered to witness something as simple and universal as love. The grooms made a statement in their ensembles, sporting a red velvet suit and flowing chiffon cape to act as a nod to the traditional veil and train, whilst subverting these wedding norms to create a new type of celebration that reflects this modern and stylish couple. This shoot showcases the newly revamped 18th century Bedford Swan Hotel to give couples inspiration on how they can style an English country venue for their wedding. Overlooking the embankment in Bedford, this hidden gem is the perfect venue for those picturesque, dreamlike moments with stunning bay windows and stylish fireplaces to elevate the look of your wedding. They chose the State room for this shoot as the pastel green complements any colour scheme. They had the perfect team to bring this vision to life. Daniel Mice Photography as the first shooter, Valentina Val Photography as the second shooter and Sian Richardson as the Videographer, capturing this modern fairytale. They wanted the hotel to showcase its historic charm but still incorporate the chic element of modern weddings. The colour palette of white and green touches to enhance the look was perfectly put together by Sparkle Occasion Events, Moss and Bloom and Rosetone Furniture making the room look crisp and romantic.

They had Bethany and Jane Bro to entertain for the ceremony and first dance which again elevated the romantic setting in the room, creating the feeling of an authentic wedding. Sparkle Occasions and Moss and Bloom created a gorgeous tablescape mixed with faux florals and candles to set the romantic and intimate tone for the wedding breakfast and ceremony. The Kind Designers stationery tied in perfectly, capturing the colours of the room and adding personal touches to the menu and table names. De Gustibus Cakes provided so much detail in the floral-patterned texture of the cake, complementing the theme of this shoot. Annie Daniel created a soft glow makeup look for our bride and an elegant updo to showcase her braids with the stunning accessories, provided by Cassie M Bridal. This look went so well with the robe and garter look provided by the Silk Garters whilst the bride was getting ready. The detail of the suit from Vintage Suite hire was full of English country charm and was paired with the two glamourous textured dresses from Lotte Rose Bridal. This shoot juxtaposes modern details with classic charm to create a stunning venue perfect to inspire couples on how to dress their space.

What is particularly unique about this new trend is that wedding guests get to see the art unfold before their eyes and the wedding couple walks away with an incredible keepsake and heirloom to display in their home. A DREAMY DAY OFF Being a busy business woman, Hannah only had one day off in December, making it a perfect, unexpected moment for Ben to propose. Hannah reminisces "a cold, icy morning at one of our favourite beaches, no fuss, just us and the dogs. It was perfect!" They settled for 23.09.22 for their nuptials, with the 23rd marking a special date to them both. Luckily for the pair, they were blessed with autumnal sunshine on the wedding day itself, "it was blue skies all day!" ECLECTIC ESTATE Finding the right venue is no easy feat, but Ben and Hannah fell in love with the rural Charlton Hall in Northumberland straight away. "It's not your classic wedding venue, which I think is what drew us in," the bride gushes. "The grounds, the décor, the whole vibe was exactly what we were looking for!" The quirkiness of the venue set the scene. "With black and white floors and a giant giraffe on the wall, it meant we never needed to add too much more. We kept all the tables quite simple, with foliage and candles to let the venue speak for itself." DRESSED TO IMPRESS Hannah stunned in a flowing V-neck tulle gown with sheer cap sleeves from YAP Bridal in Newcastle, while her bridesmaids picked out sage-hued pleated dresses from ASOS. "I could not have been more thrilled with the end result," the bride smiles. Ben and his groomsmen matched the classical attire with hired checked navy suits from Woven Durham.

“The whole day was a blur but in the best way!”
HEART'S DESIRE The couple reveal their best decision was to ditch the traditional top table for a table for two. "We both agreed a sweetheart table was the best decision for us, as it meant we got time just the two of us throughout the meal and speeches." Following the sweetheart theme, the pair chose for a stylish sweet bake: "our cake was more on the retro side, with intricate piping on a two-tier heart-shaped cake, topped with cherries and 'The Clarkes' scribed on the top." DANCING FEET The newlyweds and their 140 evening guests danced the night away until the lights came on. Hannah has a solution for any weary soles: "another good tip, buy flip flops for the evening!" GREEK ISLAND GETAWAY Hannah and Ben set off to the Mediterranean after the big day with a honeymoon in Greece. "We were lucky enough to head straight on our honeymoon which was amazing. We wanted a week of pure relaxation, so booked Stella Island in Crete. It was absolutely incredible, we could not recommend it enough!" WH

RUNNING ROMANCE As they took in the beautiful views of Lizard headland in Cornwall on a coastal run together in July 2020, Edward popped the big question: "We were staying at Mullion Cove Hotel for a few days. After the run it is safe to say Ele has never downed a dirty martini at 10:30am so quickly before!" A FAMILY TOUCH With their sights set on an autumnal woodland wedding, Eleanor and Edward chose the 1st of October 2022 to exchange their vows at an estate that's close to their hearts. "Boconnoc is a very special venue and close to where Ele’s parents live. It’s also where a few members of her family got married, and her father also spent time on the estate growing up. We loved the fact that you get the whole estate to yourself. The house and church are also steeped in history and are very beautiful." A CROWNING MOMENT Eleanor opted for a whimsical gown with long chiffon sleeves and a plunging neckline; "I wanted to go for something very elegant and simple that I would feel comfortable in on the day. I really like the PreRaphaelite look of flower crowns, long flowy dresses and hair, and I would say this is where a lot of my inspiration came from..." The bride's ensemble looked picture-perfect next to her bridesmaids in champagne tones and matching flower crowns, while the dashing groomsmen donned morning suits with rose hued waistcoats and black tie for the reception.

LOCAL LOVES The couple brought sustainability to the fore of their special day: "We went for a very classical wedding theme that we felt matched the venue... we also made sure to use all local suppliers from Cornwall, and our food was all locally sourced." Every detail was perfectly planned by Hazel from Out of the Ordinary Weddings, who the pair also reveal was one of their best decisions in making sure the day ran smoothly. SPANISH SOIRÉE With Ed being a classical guitarist himself, the couple were thrilled to have De Fuego play at their reception. "They played the acoustic version of ‘More Than a Feeling’ by Boston for our first dance, it was a mixture of salsa and classical ballroom dancing-inspired moves." ADVENTURE IN THE AZORES The newlyweds organised a thrilling getaway after their Cornish celebrations..."We went to the Azores, nine remote islands in the Atlantic for our honeymoon. We spent 10 days hiking, diving (sometimes with sharks), whale watching, eating amazing food and drinking fabulous wine!" We have no doubt that they will go on to enjoy a lifetime of adventures together! WH

It was love at first sight for Holly and Scott, who had eyes for each other from ages 17 and 20. "Scott surprised me for our four-year anniversary with a trip to Barbados, our first abroad holiday alone. On the second day of our holiday, Scott took me to a veranda looking over the sea and as I looked away Scott got on one knee and proposed. It was surreal!"
A DAY TO REMEMBER
The spirit of family was at the forefront on their special day, with the 6th of May being Holly's late Nan's birthday. "My Nan was a massive part of our lives and when we came to book, St Audries wedding park only had two dates left. We believe it was a sign, she adored us both and would go on about us getting married."

Holly looked and felt like a princess on her big day, thanks to All About Eve Bridal in Newport. "The minute I walked through the door I was instantly made to feel special. We had our own private room with a range of different drinks to get the celebration started. The bridal specialist was excellent, she asked me every question under the sun and then picked out five dresses to start with. The second dress I tried on was instantly the one and we all cried!"

A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE A festive proposal was waiting for Andrea on a bright winter's day, with all of her close friends and family gathering to toast to the surprise! "Tierri surprised me with a Christmas-themed proposal at my flat! The whole place was decorated with an aisle of candles, balloons, and white feathers, and on the balcony was an array of plants, fairy lights, and a mini Christmas tree. On the tree was a glass bauble filled with feathers and the engagement ring!"

PRETTY PARKLAND The happy couple invited 160 guests to join them on their special day, at a stunning Hampshire country estate near to the capital. "Northbrook Park had everything we were looking for! Close drive from London, beautiful landscape, grounds and lake, onsite accommodation for our friends and family and the most stunning manor house for pictures!" FIRST TIME LUCKY Andrea had a seamless experience when picking out her dream silk dress by Sarah Seven. "I actually only had one appointment at a boutique, Heart Aflutter, which was recommended by a friend," explains the bride, "I went with my friend and my mother-in-law, with my mum on facetime as she’s based out of the country, and we had such fun, and the team was so helpful! I ended up getting the first dress I tried on!" WEEKEND OF LOVE The couple highly recommend staying at the venue the night before if possible. "It made the morning

of the wedding so stress-free and fun, everyone getting ready together!" With her glam squad at the ready, Andrea felt very calm and excited to be getting married with all of her loved ones near. "I ended up bursting into happy tears at the reception as I was just so overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness!" CEREMONIAL SPLENDOUR At the heart of the wedding day was a ceremony to remember. "For us the most special part was the prayer and worship, and having our family bless our marriage during the ceremony," the couple shares. As they exchanged vows, Andrea and Tierri gave each other handmade rings that they had created at The Wedding Ring Workshop in London. Every part of the day was heartfelt, sentimental and personalised for their big moment, becoming husband and wife.

AMBIENT ORANGERY The festivities continued in the orangery, where sunlight streamed through swathes of ivory fabric lining the glass roof. On one side, the space opened onto a quintessentially British walled garden, complete with roaming peacocks! University Union LOCKDOWN LOVE When the world was on pause, this special couple took a leap forward in their relationship. "Josh and I had recently both recovered from Covid and were on our daily permitted evening walk in Richmond Park; Josh popped the question under a huge oak tree. It was very low-key given the circumstances, but absolutely perfect. We picked a ring together a few weeks later!" A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE Lizzie had many fond recollections of her time at King's College, Cambridge, and the couple's first dates took place in the city. "The Chapel only holds a handful of weddings per year, so we were very grateful to be able to have our ceremony there. The drinks reception was held on the back lawn with all the punts going past on the river, and the wedding breakfast was in the College Hall," Lizzie smiles, remembering the day.

A SCOTTISH TWIST After a medieval-style banquet in the College Hall, Josh and Lizzie got everyone up on their feet by hiring a Scottish ceilidh band. "We chose Licence to Ceilidh for our main entertainment, followed by a DJ set. Josh was at university in Edinburgh and so a ceilidh felt like a perfect opportunity to get people dancing." PRE-LOOK PERFECTION When asked what their best decision was, the couple instantly knew it was their 'pre-look' photo shoot before the ceremony. "We decided on this approach because our ceremony was fairly late at 4pm, so we didn’t want to miss the drinks reception ahead of dinner, which was one of the only times we’d get to properly see our guests. We both felt so much calmer and happier having had some lovely moments together before the walk down the aisle." What was once the former home of the Victorian Aristocrat and Explorer, William Alexander, is now a part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, which champions independent hotels with distinguished style and flair. This particular West London bolthole beckons literary lovers and art enthusiasts, with the eclectic interiors paying homage to the influential residents that made the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea the cultural epicentre that it is today.

With his original home just a short stroll away, the room was a fitting touch to the hotel’s overall theme, affirming it as a lavish launchpad to explore the best attractions in London. 100 Queen’s Gate even has discounted room rates for ticket holders at the Royal Albert Hall, making it the ideal stopover after a magical date night in the city. Before the performance, I’d recommend starting in the hotel’s Botanica dining room for Afternoon Tea, a beautiful double-height glass atrium adorned with trailing greenery and flourishing cherry blossoms.
Echoing the delights of an art gallery or museum, the opulent regencystyle aesthetics at 100 Queen’s Gate will spark your imagination, with oriental chinaware, antique globes and stamp collections lining the walls, as well as bookshelves stacked with exotic artefacts, oil paintings and literary canons, from ‘The Three Musketeers’ to ‘Robinson Crusoe’. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I felt enchanted by its emporium of curiosities and splendours.
Every 100 Queen’s Gate suite comes with a complimentary buffet breakfast in the brasserie-style W/A Restaurant - a room that would double up as an elegant, light-filled wedding reception space for up to 80 guests. Depending on the suite booked, guests are also given between £50 and £100 credit towards dinner at W/A or the ESQ bar, a hideaway cocoon on the lower ground floor inspired by William Alexander’s round-the-world travels. Featuring a grand piano, laid-back lounge seating and an Asian small plates menu, the chic ambience set the scene for our memorable evening meal. The ESQ mixologists crafted cocktails with artful flavour combinations (try The Last Samurai, a Negroni with a twist served in a mini globe!), and to complete the sensory journey, we dined on delectable bao buns, Katsu Sandos, gyozas and prawn tempuras to name but a few.
Upstairs along the warren of dark mirrored hallways, each of the individually designed rooms is marked by the names of famous West London dwellers on classic blue plaques. With a separate living space and staircase up to the bedroom, our duplex suite felt like a homefrom-home with a burnt orange crushed velvet sofa, a cheerful Marshall Radio, a vintage telephone and a welcome message drawn on the mirror adding to the quirky retro vibe. Looking out over bright blue skies and the London rooftops captured the quintessence of the neighbourhood. Sir Henry Cole was the figure behind our stylish suite, the entrepreneur who invented the Christmas card in the UK and became the first

Sloane Place As we wandered through the snow-covered lanes of Chelsea, darting between Christmas trees and boutique shops, the warm welcome of Sloane Place was much appreciated by our frosty feet. A family business with a long history in hospitality, we knew we were in good hands at this contemporary and chic boutique hotel. With fantastic travel links and only a short walk from coach and tube services, it was the perfect base for our festive London adventures. Nestled between leafy side streets and distinct English heritage, Sloane Place is within a stylish and peaceful neighbourhood, ideal for a day out in the city. With a warm reception from the staff, we headed up to our new home: a Chelsea Double Room. The classic interior with luxurious textures and quintessentially British style was a treat for the eyes and the perfect homely atmosphere to unwind and freshen up after a day of travel. Fitted out with an elegant writing desk, plenty of storage, TV, coffee machine and cosy armchair, the room offered everything we needed for a relaxing break. The beautiful, newly refurbished en-suite bathroom was stocked with Molton Brown amenities and sleek sink, bathtub and shower so we could fully pamper ourselves in prep for our festive celebrations. Their rooms are ideal for everything from a romantic city break to a hen do base and are equipped to welcome any travellers, with smaller, cosy rooms for solo travels and Chelsea Suites with a separate seating area to recline in luxury. Sloane Place Restaurant, The Hideaway and The Roof Terrace are available for exclusive-use hire, making them the perfect destination for all celebrations and events. Plan the ideal hen do at The Hideaway Bar with a chic drinks reception decked out with a customised drinks menu and sensational cocktails all formed by their talented mixologists to create memories to treasure. The juicy Angus fillet steak was our choice for main with a silky green peppercorn sauce and truffled parmesan fries and we finished with a warm chocolate brownie teamed with tonka bean ice cream and sprinkled with a garnish of salted caramel popcorn! It was a divine treat for our tastebuds and we were left dreaming of what tasty dishes we wished to trial for our next visit. ant to know the hottest new wedding trend? It is called “Buddymooning”. That's right! A traditional honeymoon, but with family and close friends. I know what you are thinking, that sounds horrible or not very romantic. But couples today have gone beyond the classic three-day destination wedding and want to enjoy or keep the party going with intimate friends and family. Many couples getting married today are older and think the idea of bringing others can still be romantic, but can also turn into a great family reunion. Even the rich and famous are getting into Buddymooning! Without question, Paris Hilton’s wedding was probably the most spectacular and well-covered event in the wedding industry. It started as a destination wedding with hundreds of guests and multiple wardrobe changes, but as soon as the ceremony and banquet were over, Paris Hilton, her parents, in-laws, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters all jetted-off to Bora Bora. As you might expect, there were countless group activities enjoyed by all, but also undisclosed romantic alone time for Paris and her new husband Carter. This all brings us to two important rules if you are considering a Buddymoon… RULE #1 You need to book a resort or private home that can accommodate your group, but also has multiple pre-arranged activities to keep the mood lively and fun. A private home like Blame Her Ranch that can accommodate the Buddymoon group is ideal because it provides real privacy and exclusivity. Let’s face it, you are already stretching it with the whole concept of a Buddymoon and you don’t need a bunch of resort strangers hanging around. Also, with the Buddymoon package, Lauren Busch Blamer (my daughter) puts together a detailed dining and activity itinerary. This can be

Things like Native-American cooking classes, portrait paintings, massages for everyone, plus dry saunas and cauldron hot-tubbing in-between. Because of BHR’s rustic ranch setting, many couples also enjoy group fly fishing (guaranteed to catch a fish), skeet shooting, horseback riding and even a small, but fun cattle herding. Many times guests have their own ideas and events planned and in our case, Lauren has been successful in accomplishing basically anything the couple and group want to do. And, don’t forget about food. Santa Fe is a “foody” town with hundreds of private chefs who have come to BHR and put on food extravaganzas each night during the Buddymoon. RULE #2 While Buddymooning by its definition is a group honeymoon, don’t forget to carve out “private” time for the couple to get away. Again, in our case, Lauren is the facilitator and can recommend several ideas to inject a little romance into your Buddymoon. How about a private dinner out on the edge of our cliffs overlooking the Gonzales Valley? Or, a night in one of our Conestoga wagons which has been romantically decorated and offers champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Fun and romantic, right? Finally, Buddymooning doesn’t require you to immediately jump on a plane after your wedding. A welcoming cocoon of bright colours, rhythmic Boduberu drums and warm staff smiles embraced us as we stepped out onto Sun Siyam Olhuveli's arrival jetty, after a seamless airport transfer and 45-minute speedboat ride from Malé. Seconds later, the jet lag melted away to reveal a quintessential postcard of paradise - there's no place quite like it on earth. With a handmade floral lei adding a flourish to our travel attire, we proceeded along the pontoon over glittering turquoise waters to the Lagoon Bar, where freshly shaken mocktails revived our senses and the resort map introduced us to our new island home from home - we couldn’t wait to explore!

Travel machine, a king size bed, an open-air bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, and a partitioned living area with glass doors that opened up onto a topaz-hued pool and the ocean beyond. It was an airy seafront haven with all of the air conditioning and wi-fi amenities you could wish for, with the bonus of being on the sunset side, where blazing orange skies faded into clear indigo nights, scattered with a thousand stars. On the generous all-inclusive plan, we delved into daily breakfasts, lunches and dinners at Sunset Restaurant or Malaafaiy, where the freshly prepared buffet cuisine and themed live cooking stations made each meal authentic and diverse. A candlelit beach dinner at Maghrib Grill was another highlight, where we indulged in a succulent seafood platter of fresh prawns, lobster and shellfish as the waves lapped beside us on the shore. But the most memorable feast of all had to be the Floating Platform Dinner, located on a picturesque pavilion in the middle of the lagoon. Words can’t quite express the magic of being alone together surrounded by the Indian Ocean, with each course arriving by boat as the sunset sent rippling fireworks of colour over the water. It was a movie-like experience… and for anyone thinking of popping the big question, I can’t think of anywhere more romantic. With the ocean ever-present and complimentary snorkelling gear readily available for all guests, the big blue is yours to discover. One afternoon, we donned our masks and swam from our villa to the house reef by the Dive Centre jetty. Beneath the surface, the ocean was teeming with life, with iridescent shoals of fish, spongy corals and the powder white sand painting a crystalline seascape. Olhuveli’s lagoon is perfect for beginners, as even in the shallows you can often spy turtles bobbing at the surface, or tame reef sharks and rays. Further out beyond the drop-off is a scuba diver’s dream, and at the SSI-certified Dive Centre, professionals are always on hand to provide all the equipment and tuition you need. Immersive snorkelling experiences reach new levels at Sun Siyam Olhuveli with regular safaris around the house reef and nearby atolls. Or for those looking for a once-in-a-lifetime marine life encounter, I encourage you to try out the nurse shark excursion! The expert guides took us to the very best spots, where we jumped off the boat and approached a shiver of sharks. Watching these gentle giants gliding through the water and interacting up close was nothing short of mesmerising. We continued onwards to the Vaavu Atoll, where a half-submerged shipwreck soon came into

view, covered in a carpet of vivid corals. We circled the sunken treasure and fed the curious sea life, while feeling like the only people around for miles.
