One of the biggest dates in the bridal fashion calendar is New York Bridal Fashion Week, a chance for designers to show off the latest Fall collections and for us to get a taste of the trends we're expecting to see for 2025 wedding dress designs.
From Justin Alexander to Berta, the biggest names in bridal fashion hit the runways and boutiques of New York, showcasing trending styles inspired by past eras. Some designers like Ines di Santo formed immersive experiences for their guests, transforming their space into a mythical woodland that perfectly captured the 'Renaissance Reimagined' Fall 2025 Collection theme; a rebirth of the grandeur and texture of Renaissance masterpieces. As Jonathan explains, it is very easy to feel overwhelmed by all the choices out there, but the key is to reflect your personality and the overall theme of your wedding. “One easy way to figure out what suits you best is to check out other weddings and imagine yourself in those outfits,” he adds, “once you nail down materials and styles, it is important to then focus on the fit. Opting for a madeto-measure suit ensures almost any style will suit your shape but there are some general guidelines such as double back vents and wide lapels to balance out broader chests and seats.”
WHEN SHOULD YOU ORDER YOUR SUIT?

Providing guests with an appetiser of what is to come on the 13th of February at The Dorchester Hotel for the UKWHA 2025, Weddings & Honeymoons Media hosted an exclusive press launch on 5th September at The Adria in London.
Esteemed guests from all over the wedding world, including journalists, media, PR and entertainment specialists, flocked to the five-star hotel to hear more about the biggest wedding industry event of the year.
As the guests floated through the door with a glass of bubbles in hand, they chatted to the songbird lilts of Chelsea Nolan’s awe-inspiring vocals, and were greeted by tasty cuisine from Paul’s Bakery alongside a showstopping cake from the extensive wedding collection of Lola’s Cupcakes. Our talented mixologist completed the scene, mixing a bespoke Weddings & Honeymoons Martini and our Forever Vegas cocktail as an ode to our beloved sponsors, Las Vegas, the Wedding Capital of the World TM
Next, all attention fell to our Commercial Director, Anthony Baines, who announced our magical £50,000 Win Your Wedding Competition up for grabs from one lucky couple with a captivating love story, in collaboration with Las Vegas, the Wedding Capital of the World TM. With the Awards and Competition for the UKWHA 2025 announced to the world, our guests were in for a night of thrilling entertainment! DJ Cream Boomtown set the dance floor ablaze with vocals from Boney M’s Sharron Day, followed by an injection of electric energy from Chico Slimani as he got the
crowd buzzing! Our very own Agnes Jones charmed us with a delightful performance of her song, supported by the mesmerising flute playing of Archie XN Trick. Additionally, John Johnny’s dance moves and the soulful voice of Rochie AKA Vlinton Outten added an extra layer of excitement to the spectacular evening.

“I finally found my dress at Romsey Bridal Boutique. I had been to 4 different bridal shops (one of which I went to 3 times!) and had probably tried about 30-plus dresses in total! I ended up feeling quite stressed after trying so many and not finding anything and the thought of trying more was no longer exciting me. I had a budget of £800 and most of the dresses I liked were at least £1,000 more than that, so it was quite a challenge! I turned up at Romsey Bridal Boutique, explained my budget and what kind of dress I was looking for and then she picked up a dress from the sale rail to show me and it was my size and exactly the style I wanted. When I tried it on I loved it and couldn’t believe it when she told me it was under my £800 budget! I was with my daughters at the time when I tried it on and they both said I should get it, I FaceTimed my sister to get her opinion and she also agreed I should get it, so I did!”

Olivia shares how dress shopping wasn’t as magical as expected, and that’s absolutely normal…
“I’m not going to lie - I didn’t have the fairytale of finding ‘the One’! I think I worked it up to be this whole perfect experience where I’d try a couple on and then everyone would cry on a certain one and it would all be perfect but it wasn’t. It was hard! There are so many shapes, sizes, different laces, different colours! And of course, you want your wedding dress to be perfect so if there was something I didn’t like I was like ‘erm I’m not sure.’ I think I went to like 10 shops and in the end, my mum said ‘Liv, I have no more tears left to cry.’ Even when I chose my dress I had to leave, think and go back and try it on again before I said yes! It’s a hard decision but of course so worth it in the end.”

“We wanted our music to be a reflection of us, so we went with a mix of country, classic, pop, and oldies! At the ceremony we had a pianist and violinist playing our favourite heartfelt songs, cocktail hour focused on oldies played by the pianist and a saxophonist, and at dinner, a violinist played a mix of pop and country which created a fun vibe, while still allowing conversation, and the party started with traditional music followed by a mix of all of our favourites!”
Our first Dance…
“We danced to ‘From The Ground Up’ by Dan + Shay for our first dance. Dan + Shay is one of our favourite groups, and the lyrics just felt perfect to us. Learning our first dance was also one of our favourite wedding experiences and memories. We practised nearly every day for six months and loved being able to learn a new skill together!”

“We started with a string quartet that played as guests arrived, during the ceremony and at the drinks reception. We both love the sound of live strings, and we felt it added an extra special layer for guests as they arrived and set the scene. A HEART-WARMING DAY
It was a cold winter day at their favourite farmto-table restaurant, Ninety Acres, when Bryan decided to pop the question in the restaurant’s beautiful garden in front of an English ivy wall. The celebrations were accompanied by a wonderful dinner and champagne, immersed in a magical ambience. As much as they love a cosy winter day, they decided on a sunny summer date for their wedding. “We got married on July 7th 2024, we chose the summer months for our wedding to provide our guests with an opportunity to combine a vacation with attending our celebration in Europe.”
A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES
Nothing surpassed the historic charm of their chosen venue; “we were going to book a venue closer to the centre of Lisbon but after some consideration, our planners recommended Penha Longa Resort and the rest is history. Our wedding venue is the perfect reminder of our special day, and we look forward to returning to the resort on our anniversaries to relive the magic of that day,” shares the couple.
EMOTIONS ARE HIGH
The couple thrived for an intimate celebration surrounded by 50 of their closest loved ones; their friends and family spent the entire week together and by the end, they were all a happy family. This couple will never forget the joy and love in the room. Bryan was a bundle of nerves but all positive feelings for what was to come. On the other hand, Barbara was surprisingly calm. “We both were so excited to finally enjoy the day we spent so long planning for.
Thanks to our amazing wedding planners at White Dots Weddings, everything exceeded our expectations, and every aspect of the day was flawless,” the couple told us.
FIRST LOOK
As Barbara gracefully entered the chapel, all eyes were drawn to her stunning presence. Adorned in an exquisitely tailored gown from Kyha Studios, she captivated the entire congregation, leaving them momentarily speechless. “I went wedding dress shopping with my mum, best friends, and Bryan’s family but we didn’t feel like any of the dresses I tried on were the ones. I decided to pop into Kyha Studios by myself after work one day and immediately knew I had found the perfect fit,” gushes the bride. Bryan also wore a showstopping piece: a classic black tuxedo from Bonobos with peak lapels, a David Donoghue bowtie and Magnanni tuxedo shoes, all expertly crafted. He was looking forward to wearing it for so long: “When I finally was able to put it on, I just remember how perfectly it fit and how excited I was to wear it all day. I also couldn’t wait for Barbara to see it.”
A highlight from the celebrations were the exquisite floral arrangements. From the entrance to the wedding cake, everything overflowed with beautiful blooms to enhance the elegant feel of the day. “We knew from the start that flowers would be one of the most important features of our day. We wanted an elegant theme with white cala lilies and roses. Some of our favourite floral pieces are the arch outside the chapel, the flowers draping over the pew in the chapel and the arrangements at the altar. We had a specific vision and our florist, Liz Gardens, made it come to life.” WH

Barbara and Bryan’s wedding was a stunning day from the very beginning. They were a dream to work with and from our experience planning alongside them we knew before the day even started that it was going to be a breeze. Even the weather - despite threatening the few days before to be cloudy and cold - was on our side!
The morning went by quickly with both the bridal party and the groomsmen getting ready at the venue, and once the time came to walk down the aisle, it felt like everyone was as prepared and professional as we were! The whole day went exactly as planned, swiftly from start to finish — from a gorgeous emotional ceremony in the centuries-old chapel to a relaxed cocktail hour followed by a delicious dinner and the most fun party.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU? TELL US ABOUT THE PLANNING PROCESS…
When they first approached us, Barbara and Bryan were looking for a venue a little closer to the centre of Lisbon but once we approached Penha Longa Resort everything changed. They wanted a romantic, palatial, elegant wedding with some traditional Portuguese charm and the design was so easy to settle on after the venue was decided. With its chapel, lawn, noble room, and cloisters, Penha Longa exudes an air of breathtaking beauty. Barbara and Bryan knew exactly what they wanted, and together with such a gorgeous venue to work around, and using our planning tools, it truly made for a seamless experience. We worked with incredibly professional vendors, from the team at the venue to everyone involved in creating the perfect wedding day. The venue really was the starting point and main inspiration for the styling. Using simple and elegant flower arrangements for the chapel, and classic table settings that complemented the colours, the painted ceilings and the stonework inside the venue made for an overall feeling of grace and romance.

In awe of Switzerland’s enchanting beauty, this couple found their hearts captivated. Without hesitation, they chose the picturesque town of Interlaken as their ideal wedding destination. In addition to its enchanting appeal and Alpine views, Maiah and Alex set their eyes here due to its location near several international airports and easy access by public transportation. “We also love its adventure opportunities, offering incredible outdoor experiences for our guests travelling from all over the world. In addition, we were looking for a destination with traditions and culture and loved the icons associated with Switzerland such as the alphorn, yodelling, Swiss chocolate, cowbells, watches, hiking and fondue,” reminisced the couple.

In their quest for a venue, the couple sought sophistication and a timeless elegance often elusive in the United States. The Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa is the epitome of Swiss luxury with frescoed indoor spaces, magnificent chandeliers and high-end hospitality. The hotel is truly a five-star luxurious hotel, offering impeccable service and yet warm and welcoming. It is also situated in the centre of Interlaken, making it extremely accessible for guests to reach during the celebrations. The couple expressed: “All the vendors were true artists in every sense of the word. Living abroad and planning a wedding in another country is daunting and challenging, however, we were fortunate to work with Gianna Grieco and her team at The W. Day. They stood out and understood our style right away.”

Maiah and Alex dreamed of transforming their day into a fall wonderland. Burnt orange and beautiful foliage, together with delicate autumnal hues decorated the enchanting spaces, bringing the outdoors in. Andrada Müller Floral Designs elevated the entire scene with her creative and professional work, making it an unforgettable experience. Through her floral artistry, she turned the ballroom and one of the salons into a land of dreams, fully detailed with exquisite touches. “It was so fun to watch our guests’ faces as they entered both rooms - totally in awe of the beautiful setting!”

Bringing together their favourite people for days of activities and parties was a success and everyone experienced Switzerland to the fullest. “We loved every minute of our wedding celebrations. Having family and friends with us for four to five days was a memorable moment in itself. Our rehearsal dinner and welcome party was held at Oberhofen Castle, a gorgeous medieval castle surrounded by meticulous gardens on the shores of Lake Thun and it was a great setting to break the ice before the ceremony. Dancing in the streets on Interlaken to Céline Dion after the reception, and paragliding the day after are imprinted in our hearts forever.”

Amidst the whirlwind of her wedding day, the bride holds dear the cherished memory of dancing with her father. When asked how the dance went, she replied: “We rocked it!” Her father played an important role throughout the day and the emotions before walking her down the aisle were unforgettable. WH

The beautiful and clear skies provided a relaxed and charming backdrop for photo opportunities and the moderate weather was perfect for holding the ceremony outdoors. “We hoped for clear skies to provide a stunning backdrop for photos and a comfortable atmosphere for our guests. The ceremony was held outdoors, while the reception moved indoors as the evening brought cooler temperatures,” expresses the couple.
HISTORICAL CHARM
Our lovebirds were searching for a combination of history, luxury and ideal location. They found their dream venue on the grounds of Mena House with unparalleled views of the pyramids and other nearby historical sites. The couple describes in depth how the hotel won them over: “Mena House has an outdoor venue and a grand ballroom. Originally built in 1869 as a hunting lodge for the Egyptian Khedive Ismail, it was later converted into a luxury hotel, retaining its historical charm and oozing romance for magical wedding celebrations. I would recommend our venue to other couples looking for a historic classic location, which can add a unique charm and timeless elegance to your special day.”
A CULTURAL CELEBRATION
There was nothing better than being surrounded by their family and friends, bringing 150 of their favourite people under one roof and creating a day filled with surprises to highlight their cultural backgrounds. “We did not choose a specific theme; instead we aimed to combine and honour our heritage. To achieve this, we integrated elements from our traditions into the wedding creating a unique ceremony. For instance, we included a
traditional Zaffa: a wedding march featuring a musical procession with traditional singers, bendir drums and belly dancers,” mentions the couple. Solal adds: “We featured cuisine from both French and Egyptian cultures to provide a rich culinary experience.”
FIRST TIME AROUND
Mirna was fortunate enough to have her mother’s support and invaluable advice when picking her wedding gown. She wanted to feel confident and slip into something that captured the true essence of her style. “I had always envisioned a mermaid dress for myself and I was thrilled with the result as it captured my style: modern in its cut, yet vintage and classic with plenty of lace,” smiles the bride. Solal was also very lucky in finding the right fit: “I selected a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie and polished shoes. Like Mirna, I was lucky to find my entire outfit at the first boutique I visited.”

In a moment that summed up the elegant and unforgettable nature of their love story so far, the proposal was a beautifully orchestrated memory. Within a quaint, candlelit restaurant boasting stunning views, Clara & Alfonso’s special song played around them as Alfonso unveiled a small velvet box and shared heartfelt words about their journey together. “It was an atmosphere of pure magic and when he asked me to be his partner for life, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy and love,” Clara shared.

Clara and Alfonso had a special guestlist for their big day… “We never thought about a limited number of guests when sending out invites, we simply invited those we wanted to share the day with,” they told us, “I think we had around 150 guests in total and being surrounded by our closest friends and family during the wedding morning formed an atmosphere of excitement that made every moment feel special.”

Clara had an ace up her sleeve when it came to curating her wedding day look, or should we say ‘looks’! “Luckily I didn’t have to go and find my wedding outfit, because I made it myself! I am an haute couture designer, so I was able to create my own wedding dresses,” Clara shared, “I created what I have always dreamed of, three unique and exclusive gowns to enjoy on one of the best days of my life.” Clara said that wearing each of her designs was an extraordinary experience and by putting so much care and love into each detail meant she truly appreciated the finishing touches.

As well as having three gowns to personalise each section of their wedding, Clara also chose three different pairs of shoes to complete each look. “Each wedding gown had a different pair of shoes, I chose shoes from ‘Mariela Madrid’ for my first dress and then matched designs from ‘Javier Gonzalo’ for the next two outfits,” she gushed, “I wanted to have something customised but also comfortable, and luckily my feet didn’t hurt throughout the whole day!” WH

The 11th of May 2024 was blessed with spring sunshine in the UK, giving this couple another reason to beam on their special day in Surrey. “We couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. We felt so grateful to mark this moment with our immediate families in the local church and my parent’s garden – it was a dream come true.”

Emily envisioned a Downton Abbey-style ambience for their intimate church ceremony and luncheon for 30 guests. Elegant dresses were the order of the day, while the men donned traditional three-piece morning suits. The bride chose an archive Jenny Packham gown, which she wore again on the first evening of their Italian wedding celebrations a month later. “From the moment I tried it on, I felt joy! The fun frills, the sparkles, the dainty spaghetti straps, and the tiny daisy beads – magic!”
AL FRESCO ELEGANCE
The couple DIY’d all the details for their relaxed outdoor soirée with the help of family and friends. “My mum and a family friend created the beautiful floral centrepieces, incorporating pearly blooms and toffee roses; our cousin gifted us the first toast, which we poured over a picturesque sparkling wine tower; and my godparents surprised us with a chauffeur drive home from the church – we felt
so much love in the air!” Guests dined al fresco at a table adorned with crisp linens, crossback chairs, and fringed umbrellas. “From sentimental speeches and delicious deli food to rounds of croquet and dancing under the moonlight, it was the perfect chance for our families to spend quality time together ahead of the Italian celebrations. We will cherish it forever.”

vibrant salads. We were sat alongside the terrace filled with traditional Greek dancers for a joyous occasion. We ended our evening at Ananas pool bar for picture-perfect cocktails under a star-studded sky.

After soaking in the local culture, we took a well-deserved break at Ta Mpakaliarakia tou Pirati, also known as ‘The Pirate Cods.' We indulged in traditional Greek delicacies, enjoying fresh fish, Greek salads, and creamy tzatziki to complement every dish. The battered zucchini is a must-try!

Next on our island-hopping adventure was a one-hour flight to Crete, the largest of the Greek islands. With views of the distant mountains and olive trees, this relaxed à la carte eatery features delicious dishes prepared using the freshest vegetables from the hotel’s Wellness Olive Garden. A must-visit restaurant within the resort is Kafenion, which provides an authentic experience paired with Cretan-Mediterranean tapas. This sharing dining style encourages togetherness, and no night is complete without raki shots, uplifting Lyra music, and Cretan folklore brightening up the room. Each restaurant at the resort truly captures the vibrant culture for a taste of Crete.
The resort offers a wide range of activities, ensuring there is something for everyone. With a marina, beach club, open-air cinema, sports hub, and a water park, it caters to chill-seekers and adventurers. The two private beaches and two outdoor pools make it hard to choose where to spend your day. One of the highlights is the stunning SIP n’ DIP Pool Bar that features floating beds to dip your toes in while lounging. To top it all off, the bar lies within arm's reach so you can swim up to order your cocktail. I must say, this was my favourite spot to relax and bask in the sun.
An amazing selection of sailing trips and water sports is available from the resort, allowing guests to explore the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed a boat trip to the historical island of Spinalonga to see the Venetian fortress. On our way back, we anchored in a spot where the crystal-clear sea invited us to dive in. It truly felt like a perfect day under the sun.
Ideal for honeymooners or engaged couples, Spilia is the hotel’s natural cave transformed into a wine cellar that hosts tastings and private dining. Upon request, you can enjoy a special wine-tasting session featuring Greek varieties and meze boards to form intimate memories together.
