The MYKITA DECADES SUN line is a marriage of tradition and zeitgeist. With its own colour and design concept linking modern technology with classic forms, the new line features ”Contemporary Classics”. The lightweight stainless steel frames appear as a silhouette of their historic predecessor and, in combination with the modern frame colours, make a conscious break from the classic form. The lenses for all models are fitted with a light gold-mirrored coating that harmonises with the gold-coated hinge and ensures maximum protection plus visual perfection. In der MYKITA DECADES SUN Linie treffen Tradition und Zeit geist aufeinander. Mit einem eigenen Farb- und Design konzept, das moderne Technik und traditionelle Formen ver knüpft, werden zeitgenössische Klassiker geschaffen. Die leichten Brillen aus Edelstahl erscheinen als Scherenschnitt ihres historischen Vorbilds und erzeugen in Kombination mit den modernen Rahmenfarben einen gewollten Bruch zur klas sischen Form. MYKITA has been working with a variety of designers since 2006. MYKITA COLLABORATIONS comprises longterm projects involving external innovators and MYKITA. Every project begins with an intense exchange of ideas. The crucial thing is investi gating how the essence of e.g. a fashion collection can be expressed in a pair of glasses. Contours and colours, dimensions and the selection of the materials are all key factors. The result is a product that bears the clear hallmarks of MYKITA and the designer in question while thri-ving on the combined DNA. Seit 2006 arbeitet MYKITA mit verschiedenen Designern zusammen. MYKITA COLLABORATIONS steht für eine langfristige Zusammen arbeit zwischen den externen Gestaltern und MYKITA. Am Anfang eines jeden Projekts steht immer ein intensiver Ideenaus tausch. Es geht darum, heraus zu finden, wie sich der Ausdruck, zum Beispiel einer Modekollektion, auf eine Brille übertragen lässt. Schnitte, Farben, Volumen und die Wahl des Materials spielen dabei eine Rolle. Am Ende entsteht ein Produkt, bei dem die Handschrift von MYKITA und die des Designers deutlich in Erscheinung treten; die DNA beider verbindet sich.
