The Select Showcase Simmental Sale group, as well as Dwyer Cattle Services, would first of all like to extend a personal invitation to each of you to attend the Select Showcase Simmental Sale to be held September 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm. We will yet again be hosting this sale at the Tippie Beef Center located on the campus of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA. It is simply amazing how much things can change in just one year. Last year many of us were facing a drought conditions and tight feed supplies, and now this year the hay piles are filling up and so will the grain bins in the upcoming months. It seems the only thing that has remained the same is the demand for the cattle industry in this country. Currently we are still facing a shortage of beef cattle in this country, and there is no better way to build those numbers than to purchase elite seedstock. The cattle represented in this offering are just that. Over the years this sale has produced Champions at the County, State, & National levels and most importantly those females have gone on to produce the next generation of Champion for their new owners. The members of this sale group have strived over the years to bring cutting edge genetics to the sale ring each and every year. All of the calves sold will be halter broke and ready for show, and as always will be sold in an open and honest manner. If you have any questions regarding the offering that will be presented September 21th, please feel free to contact the members of Dwyer Cattle Services, Select Showcase Simmental Sale group, or any of our sale consultants. Thank you for your interest, Dwyer Cattle Services Bob 309-337-1404 Nick 309-337-6404

This Lock n Load X 436M heifer has that extra cocky look to her, the full baldy face just enhances that look. She has the substance to back it up, she has a nice feminine front to her, to tie into her soggy middle section. She has a wide hip that comes out into a nice square rear quarter. To sweeten the pot she is sound in her structure. She is a daughter of two powerfully constructed parents, Lock’n’Load and our 436M’s Donor. Lock’n’Load progeny have been sought after since arriving on the scene and 436M’s track record in the show ring is second to none. This one will catch your attention. Consigned by, Jarr Cattle

This baldy Macho heifer has a lot of things about her you are going to like. Start with her stoutness, from day one she has had that extra amount of body, bone and overall dimension. Now that she is weaned and on feed she is really starting to grow into her own. It is a joy to go to the barn each day to see how she matured from the day before. Her grandam is a commercial angus cow that has produced as many retained cows in our herd as any. Our experience is that a Macho cow in the pasture will always be a bonus, which will certainly be the case when this one’s show career is over. One other thing you’re going to like, this one is always the first one to meet you, she is arguably the calmest heifer of this calf crop. Consigned by, Jarr Cattle

This heifer’s dam produced a $14,250 steer several years ago, for several years we tried to reproduce one of those steers, but all she ever had was heifer calves. So finally a couple years ago we decided to breed her to produce foundation cattle, she still continues to have just heifers. After seeing the half blood heifers she produces I wish we had all those years back when we were trying to produce steers with her. Last years heifer was a top seller in this sale going to the Burkman family. This girl is out of American Pride, he has really worked for us in our first year of use. She brings a great deal of broodiness with her, along with a cool look that the 8 cow always produces. Consigned by, Jarr Cattle

This blaze faced steer has a good square hip, nice hair, and good disposition. We really like these Man Among Boys calves and think that they will develop into outstanding show prospects. This one goes back to our Meyer Donor cow who has raised quite a few standouts over the years. Consigned by, Rick Gerot
