Trucking
Cattle sell per the terms & conditions of their breed associations. Announcements from the Auction Block on Sale Day regarding the cattle selling in this sale will take precedence over the information printed in this catalog.
We will assist you in finding the most reasonable trucking options possible. Dwyer Cattle will have a truck available to haul cattle back to Illinois.
No cattle will be loaded until paid for. Terms are cash, check with proper ID (e. Driver’s license) or Master Card/Visa will be accepted with a 4% fee. For example, if you are the successful bidder at $1,000 and you charge your purchase using your credit card. Your credit card statement will show a payment of $1,040.
Insurance will be available through James F. Bessler of Great American Insurance Group phone 815-899-9121. Talk to Nick Dwyer after the sale to insure your purchases.
If you can’t attend the sale, contact one of the owners, sale managers, or consultants for information regarding our sight unseen buyer guarantee. We will arrange for a member of the sale staff to discuss the cattle with you. Bidding can be done via phone or by a confidential bid prior to the sale. Please call between November 27 - November 29 to obtain a bidder number. We will arrange to have someone call you when the lot(s) you are interested in, enters the sale ring. Please note that our sale will start on time and will move quickly, so be prepared to make your bids promptly.

Insurance Sexed Semen Disclaimer Due to the fact that sexed semen purchased only guarantees the chances of a heifer being 90%, we will not be able to guarantee that a heifer will result from the pregnancy. We do however guarantee that sexed semen was used on the lots listed as such.
Herd Health Health papers for interstate travel will be available. Bred females have been pregnancy checked safe by a licensed Veterinarian. The buyer has within 21 days following the sale to re-pregnancy test their purchases. If any animals are found open within those 21 days you must notify sale management at once for an adjustment to be made. Updated breeding information will be available on a supplement sheet sale day, this sheet will take precedence over statements in the sale catalog.

is with mixed emotions that I am selling this group of heifers,
which have been favorites by everyone that has stopped by the farm. All these go back to the 717T cow family, and that includes the Corrector heifer that won in Louisville, KY, a few years back. The base of my herd has been built around this cow family and her offspring. Year in and year out, they just naturally come to the top. These three Defiant heifers are peas in a pod. They are all stout, good-looking and flat out good. They could raise either purebreds or club calves--whichever you desire. The two Step Up heifers are made better then you will find in most purebreds. Look at the pictures of them. Then come find them under the lights Saturday night in West Point. They will be a program changing opportunity for some operations.

I acquired this group of purebred heifers from my good friend Bob Lanting in Idaho. Most of you have probably not been to see this particular part of Idaho, but I would say everyone should make the trip. His cattle have to survive on thousands of acres with minimal resources and to see his cattle you would never know it. This group of heifers is very uniform and very similar in their make up. I can’t make up my mind which one that I like the best--the more I look at them the more confused I get, so I will let you guys decide the best one Saturday night. In the past, these heifers have been some of my top sellers and this calf crop has been outstanding. They have good udders and are sound, functional cows.
