18th Annual Foundation Female Sale Sunday August 31st, 2014 Starts at High Noon CST
6th Rare Semen & Embryo Auction Saturday August 30th, 2014 Starts at 6:00pm CST
It’s no secret that it has been a pretty interesting year to say the least. We have all just passed through one tough winter, but those of us who stayed the course and kept ahold of our cattle are now witnessing some of the best times in the history to own cattle. As Bob and I have made our tours across this country looking for cattle for this sale we have each taken the opportunity to poll producers from various walks of life on their outlooks on the industry. The over whelming response is that ownership is 100% of the battle. It seems that each week the market reports hit a high that you never expected to see. With $7 dollar corn it seems that every acre even capable of raising a crop has been plowed over, and if I where a betting person I would say that those farms are never going back to cattle, thus my optimism that these prices are here for the foreseeable future. With these historic highs the question becomes what to buy in order to maximize your dollar? Well the answer to that is easier than you may think; it is the same answer to what to buy when prices are low. Youth and Quality! This year’s offering is deep in both regards, and there is a reason why. When we travel each spring we make a commitment to our buyers to find what we think are the best assets available from our valued consignors, and this year our commitment was to find youth and quality. Just remember that good cattle always top sales, regardless of the ebbs and flows in the market. This year’s offering is loaded with great young versatile cows. We have over 60 3-4 year old cows capable of generating a return for your operation for years to come. Along with those young cows we have a tremendous set of proven donors, stellar cow/calf pairs, and an elite set of bred heifers and show heifer prospects as well as some choice bull and steer calf prospects. For the Rare Semen & Embryo Auction we have put together a tremendous set of genetics representing some of the top Simmental & Club Calf cow families in the breed today. The cattle in this offering are versatile in their breeding and usefulness, which will leave you in the position to match these cows to the bulls that work best for your program. Over the years the cattle that have came out of this sale have excelled for their new owners, thus our ability to put on this sale for 18 years. Please take some time to look over this year’s offering and if you have any questions feel free to give us a call, we would be more than happy to talk over the lots represented in this year’s offering. Hopefully you can make plans to join us for Labor Day weekend, we look forward to welcoming you to Roseville. Thank you for your consideration, Dwyer Cattle Services 740 26th Street Roseville IL 61473 Bob 309-337-1404 Nick 309-337-6404 Email: sales@dwyercattle.com
Foundation Female Junior Program... If you have ever had the opportunity to get to know us you would know that we are strongly committed to all facets
of the Junior Livestock Industry. That dedication has grown from our own experiences in growing up participating in Livestock Shows and Judging Contest, and the feeling of need to give back to pay off our debts from years participating in these events. It is no secret that these events aren’t easy to put on, taking a combination of donations ranging from monetary to time. In an effort to help give back we will be hosting our 7th Annual Livestock Judging Contest on August 30th, 2014. This contest is sponsored by the Western Illinois University Hoof’n’Horn club. Check in will start at 8:30 am, with start time to be around 9:30 am, and is open to all Juniors under the age of 18. Trophies will be handed out to the top individuals and teams at both the Junior and Senior level, and lunch will be provided to all Juniors and Coaches. Please contact Mark Hoge, md-hoge@wiu.edu, with any questions about the judging contest. A new addition to our Junior Program will be the heifer or steer calf giveaway. In order to enter for this give away just check in your Junior at the clerks table prior to our during the sale, and the choice of either a heifer calf or steer will be given to one lucky Junior member. You must be present at the time of the giveaway to win, and under the age of 18. The giveaway calf will be halter broke and ready for a Junior member to work with. All we ask is that if you are ever given the opportunity to give back in the future please do so.

A book could be written about the influence this cow has left on the Simmental bred. Having already produced FBF1 Combustible, Champion Female at the West Viriginia State Fair, 6th Overall Female at the 2013 AJSA National Classic, and well over $200,000 in first time progeny sales. Not to mention the fact that nearly everyone who has ever purchased genetics by this female has more than doubled their initial investment. The work is done with this offering of pregnancies and embryos, with all of the pregnancies carrying heifer calves by the hotest young Simmental sires in the country. The only wrong choice to make here is letting this opportunity pass you by. Consigned by, Stonewall Cattle & Bonnell Farms Show Cattle

This choice of heifer pregnancies and embryos may very well represent some of the final genetics to be sold at public auction on the supreme Queens Valentine. With this tremendous female being sold in her entirety on August 31st, it will be up to her new owner to decide if he/she wishes to sell any more genetic opportunities on her. Queens Valentine has produced a laundry list of success stories, including her illustrious daughter Right to Love who is currently one of the top donor cows for Hudson Pines Farms, and who produced the Champion Bull HPF Quantum Leap. Jones Show Cattle has sold muliple daughters in the 5 figure price range and have retained half-interest in most of those females in order to insure their tie to those valuable genetics. Offering here is the choice of two heifer pregnancies by the matings listed. Also being offered is the choice of two packages of embryos by the sires listed. These embryos were all made using IVF technology and with the exception of the MAB embryos are all heifer sexed. Since this female is being sold no guarantee will be given on the embryos. Sandeen Donna 8386 was the top selling female in the 2013 Build’n A Brand Sale, commanding $35,000 for one half interest and being selected by Greg Scott & Eric Klyn of Iowa. Her Steel Force daughter who sold in that same sale brought in $12,000 having been selected by Brian Winters of Kansas, a full sister to that female was purchased for $18,000 in the 2012 Build’n A Brand Sale. It isn’t very often that you find two full siblings who produce this well let alone two full siblings owned by the same herd. We had our first set of United’s x the Donna tribe this spring and we were so impressed with that first calf crop that we flushed both of these females back the same way for next year. Here is your opportunity to tie into this tremendous cow family on the ground floor. Trust the knowledge gained in hindsight and tie into this heifer sexed pregnancy, you will not be disappointed. World class opportunities await those who participate in this auction, and one of those opportunities is in store with this mating. Here is your chance to latch onto a full sibling to the $110,000 valued Sandeen’s Upper Class. That bull, who sold in the 2012 Build’n A Brand Sale for one-half interest for $55,000, over the course of just one year paid off his purchase price in semen sales for his new owners. The cow families represented by this pedigree are absolutely stellar. A maternal sibling to this mating sells as Lot 203 in this year’s sale, and a heifer pregnancy that sold in last year’s sale by United x 7386 is one of the top heifer calves at Frankenreider Cattle Company in Illinois. Regardless of the resulting sex, this pregnancy could be the golden ticket your operation can’t afford to miss out on. Consigned by, Brian Stortz

On the Simmental side of the globe Mary produced not only BB Poison, but also BB Barack the $80,000 valued 3/4 Simmental bull who has done a great job across this country producing sale topping females as well as a fair share of purple banners. BB Posion is the best daughter to date by Mary, and with that title we decided to mate her maternal in order to extend the legacy created by Mary. We are offering the choice of any 2 pregnancies by some of the top Simmental bulls in the industry today. The show heifers produced are sure to be a hit in the show ring as well as the sale ring, while the bull calves have the potential to really hit a home run. Consigned by, Bloomberg Cattle

“Dream” was a favorite among many during her show career. She was named many time champion but her biggest accomplishment was being named Grand Champion Bred and Owned and Reserve Grand Champion Overall at the National Jr. Heifer show in Nebraska. She was stunning as a show heifer but she is simply superb as a donor. She has proven herself this spring to be not only one of the best donor cows but also one of our best mama cows. As a first calf heifer, her udder was simply outstanding and her calf flat put it on. Unfortunately we lost her calf to tetanus but since then Dream has dried up and is looking phenomenal. Her dam WHCC Angels Dream was named NWSS Grand Champion in 2010 and her sire JS Sure Bet has sired many champions also. With her proven pedigree and flawless phenotype, we are confident that Dream can be matched with many bulls and still produce outstanding offspring weather mated purebred Simmental, Angus, or Club Calf. Offering the right to flush this game changing Simmental female with a guarantee of 6 transferable embryos with an unlimited cap. The opportunities in this offering just don’t quit. Here is your chance to purchase full sibling embryos to Lot 225, who has been creating quite a stir around our operation ever since day one. Blackbird 1X, a past top selling female at this very sale, as well as the 2012 Champion Foundation Simmental at the NWSS, has done nothing but produce since entering the donor pen. 1X has currently placed a fall born heifer calf by Upper End, in our show barn who we look forward to champaigning this fall and next summer, as well as her tremendous bull calf by United. That bull calf was the only embryo calf we had this year by United and we sure wish we would have put in more of them, but our mistake is your gain. Regardless of the resulting sex the opportunity being offered here is one you can’t afford to miss out on. Offering one package of 3 embryos with a guarantee of one pregnancy if embryo work is done by a certified embryologist. Consigned by, Lock Livestock & Gehrke Farms
Here is a unique chance to pick and choose 2 out of the 3 mating’s produced by LLSF Eye Candy, the top selling female in the 2013 Foundation Female Sale. Eye Candy’s first calf was a son by Top Grade who commanded $10,000 in the National Western Simmental Sale. Offering here is the right to choose embryos by LLSF Eye Candy x Broker, Meyer 734, or I-80 we will only be selling 2 of the 3 packages listed. The Broker and Meyer embryos will result in PB Simmental progeny, while the I-80 offering adds the option to paper as a Mainetainer or half-blood Simmental. It will be tough to pick on choose on this one, thus I’m going to leave it up to you. WAG Hairetta 9145J CAX 24Z is a full sibling to the top selling Simmental heifer calf in the fall of 2012, having been selected by the Udell family out of the Hartman Cattle Sale. 24Z was successfully champaigned by us last summer and is currently residing in our donor program. This Broker daughter is thick topped, square from the ground up, and extremely fluid on the move. The versatility that this breeding piece brings to the table is both a blessing and a curse. To start with she is sired by the Triple Crown Champion Broker which would lead you down the road of Simmental production. But her dam is the infamous WAG Hairetta, who is one of the highest dollar producing females in the history of the cattle business having produced Miss USA (another Triple Crown Champion), Miss America, Mamma’s Boy, and more Club Calf AI sires than you can imagine. Thus our decision to flush this female both ways and offer you the opportunity to pick and choose between the matings of Pays to Believe & Monopoly. It’s not every day you get the opportunity to invest in one of the most proven and physically impressive cows the Simmental breed has to offer, but August 31st will be your lucky day. With lots of careful deliberation we have decided to share the time tested commodity, Queen’s Valentine R9. Valentine is no stranger to the lime light as this two time National Western Champion commanded $75,000 for one-half interest to our good friends at Changing J Simmentals just a few years ago. It’s no secret this breed matriarch has her share of top notch daughters that have collected several purple banners and commanded top dollars, but her true greatness is in the production of her daughters. Hudson Pines lead donor RP/MP Right to Love 015U, a Built Right daughter and a past National Champion herself, is leaving a major impression on their program with several high sellers and champions that just keep adding up, several division winners including HPF Right to Love Z338 which was the Fall Heifer division winner at NAILE, NWSS, and Ft. Worth for B&K, Double J, Ivie and Sons and Jax Ranch and another son HPF Quantum Leap was named National Champion Purebred Simmental at this Ft Worth Stock Show and recently crowned Champion Purebred Bull at the Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes for Circle M Farms and Rocking P Livestock. At the Foundation Female Sale only Valentine generated $15,300 in sales in 2011, 2012 took in $20,150, and 2013 brought in $28,500 for a total of $63,950 in just embryo and pregnancy sales. Jones Show Cattle purchased a flush and several pregnancies and have generated two $20,000 valuation females through their High Standards Female sale with several retained in their program. The list is long and we don’t have enough room to mention all the programs this cow has influenced. Over this female’s life time her progeny have commanded as much as $25,000, pregnancies up to $25,000, embryos as high as $2,000, and flushes up to $14,000. The success stories and dollars signs of this cow family just keep piling up and the consistency we have seen is unbelievable. We couldn’t have wrote a better story for this cow and feel the next chapter could be as intriguing as any. Consigned by, Changing J Simmentals, Rocking P Livestock & Beckett Cattle

Loving Fool is a beautifully constructed female ready to enter the prime of her life and add major dividends for her new owner. After a lot of discussion around the ranch we decided to send what is definitely a hot ticket to Bob & Nick. And yes, she’s as good as her picture and then some. 168Y is so complete, smooth, and easy keeping, and super sexy to look at. She raised a $5,000 bull calf right off the bat and has a heifer we are selling this fall in Diva’s and Donors. She’s selling bred to the hottest Simmental bull in the country, Bandwagon, and is ready to write the next chapter in her successful career. We have flushed this female twice and averaged 8 embryos per flush. Retaining the right to one successful flush to be done at buyer’s convenience and seller’s expense. Go ahead and latch onto this young breeding piece. Consigned by, Paulsen Cattle

LAH Sue 604S is our cornerstone herd sire who has sired multiple champions and some of our most productive cows. This flexibly bred half-blood cow can make exciting 3/4 Simmentals or amazing Club Calves. You decide her future. Our first consignment to the Foundation Female Sale brings out our best for sure. 930W’s dam, 622, was a past top seller in the Holiday Classic. This cow has the lineage and phenotype to pay for herself in year one, as she is bred to calve the first of January to Wheelman sexed semen. That early breeding date will help set her up for the donor pen in 2015 so you can start her legacy. Consigned by, Horstman Cattle Co. Inc

You all know about Broker, so let me tell you about 425 Queen (ASA #: 2247073). Put simply, she just does not miss! 3 heifer calves have sold for a combined $27,000! Her bull calves are always stout and loaded with muscle. Ask Nick about the 5 full siblings I had this year with 3 heifers being retained. I also put 6 more in this year to keep. This mating flat out works! Recip is RWA EveET, an Amazon x Dixie Erica who is no slouch in her own right. This young cow is sleek necked and should have been AI bred but I only run about 50 cows so even the good ones get an embryo if they come in heat on the right day. Don’t miss this opportunity to buy not only a good cow but also a great pregnancy! Consigned by, Reiny Way Acres

This cow has never missed for us and thus our reluctance to let her go. In the past we have sold multiple Simmental sired bull calves for over $5,000 by this Black Merlin daughter. Since this cow is so predictable for adding power and mass to her progeny we decided to let her new owner swing for the fences with her mating to Lone Ranger, who ought to pretty up all the power she throws. Be sure you put this no miss cow on your sort list. She also has worked well when breeding for club calves. If you are looking to add a little outcross power to your Club Calf herd without sacrificing any maternal power be sure to check out this trio of Hoo Doo Charolais’s. This set of first calf heifers were cherry picked off the pot load of bred heifers that I bought last fall and calved out this spring. These Red Angus x Charolais females possess that Club Calf power and style, without sacrificing any of the maternal characteristics needed to make a cow produce a calf without the use of a recip. I really think these ladies will hit a home run with their mating to Man Among Boys. 707 is the brood cow of the group, displaying that added power and dimension. 811 has added style coupled with added spring of rib. While 811 is the most feminine of the group and has the longest skinnest neck. Pick and choose amongst this trio. Regardless of your choice you will not be disappointed with this group. Just ask Kris Black how good these Hoo Doo Charolais females are in production. Consigned by, Brian Stortz

Unregistered AI bred 6/25 to Combustible I obtained this female in the 2011 Foundation Female Sale from Derrer Farms. Since my purchase she has done nothing but produce, with a couple of calves having been sold off the farm and two heifers retained in my herd. While she was at my place I mated her mostly on the Club Calf side of the beef world, but decided this year to switch that up and gear her for a half-blood Simmental for her new owner. This outstanding producer sells safe in calf to the red hot FBF1 Combustible. Consigned by, Windy Acres Club Calves

This sale has long been known for it’s emphasis on finding some tremendous cow/calf pairs, and here is a prime example of that. 169S was named the Champion Percentage Female at the Illinois State Fair for the Humphrey Family, and has since went on to become one of my top producing cows year in and year out. This blaze faced Meyer daughter goes back to one outstanding Angus female who spent quite a bit of time in the Teets Farms donor program. This cow truly knocked the seams off the ball with her mating to High Regard! 169B is long and level in her design, and possesses Club Calf like hair, which will make her a dream to work on next summer. Like her mother this blaze faced heifer has a great attitude, a killer look, and will become an outstanding addition to any herd across the country. Consigned by, Brad Boswell, DVM

These Macho daughters are becoming legendary. This sweet-necked, super thick, long spined Macho daughter will only need one calf to make you believe in her as much as we have. We have two daughters by Eagle Eye and Yellow Jacket that are exceptional in their own right. Some of Believe in Me’s favorite girlfriends at home are Macho daughters. Jan & Ron dug deep to bring you some of their very best this year, and that is saying quite a bit considering the quality & quantity of cattle they produce year in and year out. The 1043 cow, by BC Lookout, is arguabley even more impressive in person than she is in the photo. This 4 year old cow is loose strucutured, big hipped, built square from the ground up, and displays a neat and clean udder design. What is even more impressive than this young cow is her killer looking calf by Upgrade. I guarantee you will be impressed with the style, performance, and eye-appeal that this future show ring standout possesses. This heifer is built square and true from the ground up and stands on a huge foot. A wise cattleman would tie this pair together and reap the rewards for years to come. Consigned by, Runner Farms

It is going to be a hard day around our farm when Duchess gets put onto the trailer to head to the sale. 144T was our selection from a past Horsley Brothers production sale and since our purchase she went on to become a very successful show heifer and an even better donor cow. She has produced some of our best calves each and every year with over 42 calves produced to date and more coming next year. This halter broke donor female is powerfully constructed, moderate in her frame, and still moves as well today as she did when she was gliding to the backdrop in the show ring. This pair of Milestone daughters are both long necked, thick topped, and have great dispositions. If you are looking for a can’t miss cow family her is your opportunity to tie into a young cow who simply never busts. Consigned by, PB Simmentals

There are two things we believe in: 1) Attractive, functional females and 2) cow families. 322W comes from one of the deepest, oldest cow families we have. Her mother, Who 32 flushed so well. 322W is one of 19 sister/flush mates. We have sold several other sisters for $8000 - $11,000 that have worked extremely well in their new homes. Her Walks Alone steer last year sold to an Ohio buyer for $7500 and her heifer at side proves the predictability. Four generations of the 32 cow family have walked our pastures. They are not accidents. The more “knowns” you put in to an equation, the more likely you are to come up with the right answer. Ms Max is the right answer.

It was a pretty hard day for me when I loaded this Doctor Who cow on the trailer and brought her down to Roseville. This female is as good a cow as we have ever had on the farm. When you study this Doctor Who female it is pretty hard to argue her merits, she is loose structured, flat shouldered, long necked, and super on the profile. Not to mention the fact that she has been one of my best producers. Having already raised a Monopoly steer who we kept back to show and won a highly competitive County Fair as well as a daughter by BIM who is currently racking up the wins in Texas. This young cow isn’t one of those Club Calf donors who can’t milk, she actually raised this calf. Her daughter by I-Believe is huge topped, sound on the move and has that same neck and shoulder structure that her dam possesses. Don’t miss out on this young pair! Cow sells safe in calf to the red-hot MAB for possibly her best mating to date. A super complete, powerhouse SOS daughter is represented with this one. 32A is thick topped, huge footed, and really good haired, not to mention the fact that she is halter broke. She doesn’t have the best numbers in the world, so rather than mate her to a good numbered bull I went ahead and bred her to a bull who I really think is going to make some of the best brood cows in this country within the next two years. If you are in the market for versatile, highly efficient Simmental Cross bred heifers here is the set you need to look up Labor Day weekend. These females all have slight differences but the theme throughout the group is added power, structural correctness, eye-appeal, and solid genetics lining their pedigrees. Theobald, Maximus, and Point Taken have proven themselves over the past decade as some of the top cow family makers of their generation. As you study these females do a little research on the internet and look up the pedigree’s on the top selling steers, heifers, and cows across this country over the past 10 years, after you finish that research you will be shocked how much influence Theobald, Maximus, & Point Taken have made on this industry. This sale as well as many just like it have been lined by high sellers sired by and raised by sons and daughters of these influential bulls. I have tested all of these females for PHA and all of them are free (with the exception of Lot 165 who is a carrier), and should be TH free by pedigree. These females will be pregnancy checked prior to the sale in order to let you know which of these heifers are safe to their AI dates and which were covered by Making Dreams 145A, who sells in this sale as Lot 223. A great opportunity is represented on these two pages. Consigned by, Bill Pitz

This pair of High Voltage daughters comes to you from one of the most illustrious cow families of all times. These girls are 6 generations deep in the most productive, profitable and phenotypically impressive females ever to grace any breed of beef cattle. The grand dam of these two sisters is non-other than the infamous Coleman Donna 386. Her direct daughters include the dam of Sandeen Upper Class, Sandeen Donna 7386; the $70,000 valued Sandeen Donna 8386; the $93,000 Coleman Donna 005; and the $290,000 valued dam of Coleman Regis, Coleman Donna 714. It will be difficult to pick and choose between this pair of heifers. They both exhibit the massive bodied, easy fleshing, sound structured qualities that have come to be expected of the Donna tribe. While 404B might have a slight advantage in terms of show ring appeal with that long sleek front one third, the 153B heifer just simply has the makings to be a tremendous powerhouse Donor cow one day. Latch on to this pair of ¾ Simmental females while they are young because this cow family historically gains value with age. Consigned by, Sandeen Genetics

I purchased the dam of this Broker daughter from the Frankenreider herd last fall in their annual sale, and I couldn’t be happier with that purchase. 402B is an eye-appealing blazed faced heifer, who has ample spring of rib, tremendous hair, and plenty of fluiditiy in her movements. She will make a great show heifer, as she is an absolute pet to work with. Most importantly when she goes into production she will become an great cow. Consigned by, Swing Shift Simmentals

Bob said the open heifer division this year was going to be deep water. So we decided that if we were going to jump in the deep end….best bring floaties! This one is undeniably a great one whose genetics will produce their own row of champions! She’s a Man Among Boys x a Thomas Ranch Pace Setter cow that was our pick of the young cows at their dispersal sale several years ago. She has the look, the natural muscle definition and the sound composition to get it done every time. She’s an eye pleaser and she will command dominance and attention every time she hits the ring. We wanted to try our 436M donor cow to the club calf side of the industry. So after several discussions about different options we decided to go with Believe In Me, so to make a long story short we flushed her again this year to BIM. That should tell you what we think about this heifer and her steer mate. Miss Kelly has that feminine look that tells you she will make a cow when you’re done showing. She has great eye appeal and soundness that will allow her to excel in the show ring. Imagine the earning value this female can have in the future with mutiple mating possibilities. Here is one of the nicest fronted, smoothest jointed PB Simmental bulls you will find this fall. 145A stems from a tremendous Fat Butt daughter who is big footed, and one of the best milkers on the farm. In just her first two calf crops she produced this bull and a really nice Wheelman heifer who will be featured in this sale as a bred heifer next fall. We liked this bull so much that we decided to clean up our sale bred heifers with him. He would make a great bull to turn out on a group of fall calvers. Consigned by, Changing J Simmentals

It is pretty hard to poke a hole in this young Irishman bull calf. To start off his dam, who was purchased in this sale as a bred heifer in 2012, has already produced a Reg. This United son represents the best bull to ever roam our pasture. To date we have had many commercial and show cattle producers stop in to take a look at this February bull calf and he is the only animal that I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of who is accepted by both groups. 114B displays powerful top shape and muscle, coupled with a tremendous amount of rib shape and capacity, blended with an unsurpased structural correctness. It is almost impossible to poke a whole in this bull when it comes to every trait needed to produce profit in a herd. He is calving ease not only by pedigree but also by make up, possessing a smooth flat shoulder and flat muscle shape. He has the look of a bull who will produce steer calves who will grade and grow with the best of them, and heifer calves who will have the style needed to pull in top dollar as replacement heifers. Not to mention the fact that is his dam was the 2012 NWSS Champion Percentage Simmental Female, and the second high selling female in the 2012 Foundation Female Sale being selected by the Lock Family of Avon, IL. It has been said by almost every great cattleman in this country that it takes a great cow to make a great bull, and this guy is out of a great one. Regardless of your operational goals this is a bull who can produce on all levels. We have sent in a blood sample to determine his Homozygous Polled and Black status and should have that information available by sale time. If you would like to view this game changing bull prior to the sale week feel free to give us a call. Consigned by, Lock Livestock

Customer Success Stories... In the 2012 Foundation Female Sale 4th Meridian Farms purchased a package of 3 embryos by High Regard x Queens Valentine R9 for $1000 per embryo. That next spring he sent those embryos to Trans Ova and went 3 for 3! He sold one pregnancy by that mating in the 2013 NAILE, in that sale it ended up bring nearly $6000. They went on to calve the other two pregnancies which resulted in a really nice pair of females, one of which was sold off the farm for over $5000 and the other heifer is currently a show heifer for them and is destined for the donor pen.

In the 2010 Foundation Female Sale, Gerdes Show Cattle purchased a package of Sure Bet x Miss Werning 8543U embryos for $700 per embryo. After leting them marinate a bit in the tank he put them in a stuck 3 for 3. Out of those 3 embryos he ended up with a pair of heifer calves who headlined his Buckles & Banners Sale, in which he sold choice on the pair with the final bidder landing on $52,000 for choice. The other pregnancy resulted in a bull calf, who goes by the name GSC All In 72A and is currently an AI Sire owned by, Gerdes Show Cattle, Genex, & Ken Co Cattle Company.
In the 2011 Foundation Female Sale, Changing J Simmentals purchased one half interest in KLS Diamond W516. The first calf crop for Changing J Simmentals & Jones Show Cattle gathered up $29,500 with just two heifer calves, and in the 2013 High Standards Female Sale two daughters by Diamond took in a respective $39,000 & $13,000. For a current production record totaling $81,500 over the span of two years, that total does not include any flushes, embryos, or bulls sold to date.
JSC Diamond 1A
In the 2012 Foundation Female Sale Devon Boyer purchased two open heifers to show and sell in order to help finance his interests in showing cattle as well as college. He gave a combined $4250 to purchase those two females and worked hard all summer long to get those heifers AI bred and presented well at his local shows. The fruits of his hard labor paid off in the 2013 Foundation Female Sale where he re-sold those two heifers for a gross of $8000. I would like to point that out to everyone who says you can’t be profitable showing livestock in today’s industry.

R&C Miss Lamborgini
In the 2011 Foundation Female Sale Bill Graff purchased one-half interest in R&C Miss Lamborgini 5S for $5000. Since that time Lamborgini has done nothing but explode on the scene. Having produced Armada, one of the hot AI sires in Denver this spring as well as multiple Monopoly steers and heifers who have sold for over the 5 figure price range. This spring Bill decided to let his half of Lamborgini go and took in a nice profit, sending her to Gray Show Cattle.
In the 2010 Foundation Female Sale, Grazers Inc purchased Inferno 76W for $2750. That bull was a little green at sale time but really bloomed by fall. That next spring 76W commanded $10,000 for one-half interest and became a big time calving ease sire with heavy usage in Nebraska.
Inferno 76W
In the 2011 Foundation Female Sale, Steve Ory purchased a set of Monopoly x Miss USA embryos for $700 a piece. That initial investment resulted in an oustanding calf, who the traders just couldn’t resist. He sold that calf straight out of the pasture with no fluff and buff for $10,000.
Hara’s Miss USA The Sandeen boys got the privilege of being John Wayne by recognizing the cow power that is contained by She’s So Sweet. They purchased this female as an open heifer out of the 2006 Foundation Female Sale. After having calved this female out and flushed her a few times, they decided to part ways with her and sell her to Jones Show Cattle. At Jones Show Cattle she has been responisble for countless high sellers as well as a whole host of Champion Percentage Females. Those daughters are just starting to get flushed and are becoming just as prized as their illustrous dam. In 2013 a Steel Force daughter produced the top selling heifer calf in the High Standards female sale. Another daughter also by Steel Force produced the top selling Simmental bull calf at JSC, Vindication, that bull is currently the newest addition to the Willie Morris Cattle Co. bull battery.

Here is a group of easy fleshing, range ready young cows selling pasture exposed from 5/10 till 7/15 to commercial Simmental & Angus bulls. These females are currently weighing around 1200#’s and have been given one round of scour guard booster, multi-min, and have been poured and wormed. There are 8 Registered Angus cows in this group who sell as Lots 299 - 306, with the remander of the females being Commercial Angus & Sim/Angus (4 Baldies, with the remander being solid black). Dr. Raymond Huston pregnancy checked these females on 7/15 and the dates listed above are his results, when we checked these females we put a green tag in the cows that should calve in February and a Yellow tag in the females who should calve in March and April. With beef prices at an all time high, ownership is the key to success and these females are young and ready to go to work. These females have not been pampered and the photos taken are these girls out on grass, with no grain added to their diets. We will be selling these cows in groups of 3 to 5 head, with an option to purchase the whole group. Consigned by, Bob & Cathy Dwyer
