•The production process starts from the electric drawing and hand-painted effect picture, and then to the metal plate. After getting the required shape of materials, I started to drill, grind and did a series of processing. Sometimes I used wire drawbench or tablet press to process material. I integrated the materials, organized them according to the design drawings, with welding and combining, polishing, I got the finished products. The surface may be attached some dirt that is hard to remove, I processed with alum heating.

3. Draft of Jewelry Design with Chinese Traditional Element
The following works jewelry design series with the overall design thought of Chinese traditional culture. It has artistic characteristics of greatness and simpleness. The appearance has rich humanities connotation or moral lenovo, which adheres to the concept of ‘form expresses emotion’, paying more attention to the expression of inner meaning rather than catering to visual sense. The adornment style is partial to complanation curve, but not sharp straight line. The material gives priority to jade, gold, silver or pearl, but not to diamonds and crystal. Themes of plants and animals are frequently used, so gem is mostly used for plain texture and soft luster. Inlay is made with metal.

Epilogue
Four years of systematic undergraduate study enables me to grow from a jewelry design enthusiast to a young designer who has a new understanding on the field of jewelry. Jewelry design not only includes the personal aesthetic taste and expression of the designer, but also combines a comprehensive consideration that different jewelry types should be designed for different wearers. Through the designer’s own understanding, his or her design style is to express a genre of art characteristics of a nation, an era or a school on jewelry, representing different personalities, accomplishments to adapt to different occasions. Before jewelry design, one should firstly investigate and analysis on the wearers. Different people has different temperament and physical characteristics. The designer must design according to wearer’s age, occupation, shape, colour, temperament, also matching clothing so that the jewelry can accord with the requirement of personalized design. Jewelry designer also should pay attention to the clothing collocation according to the situation, season, and the wearer’s career and personality characteristics. Hence designers should integrate all aspects to consider the different situations of different individuals, and blend in own style to make the jewelry the representative of personality. In my understanding, only the perfect combination of those aspects can create truly individualized jewelries. An excellent jewelry designer should possess rich imagination, creativity, understanding of market demand and jewelry production process, should also pay attention to self-cultivation and artistic improvement. Design not only requires perceptual creation, but also rational analysis and induction. A good idea needs to be guided and standardized by theory, or it will be not guaranteed. Without cultural content, design is merely formalistic. My dream is to become an independent jewelry designer who understands the world’s advanced jewelry idea and culture, and sets up my own jewelry designer brand if applicable. Due to the gap between Chinese jewelry design industry and the one in developed countries, our processing technology and production equipment is relatively backward, which leads to the failure of realizing some drafts to finished products. I do have the ability and willingness to study in UK, the country with dense cultural atmosphere and mature development of jewelry design, in order to realize my long-existing dream. I ever had hesitation, shrinking, but more diligence and efforts. I insist on this winding road with knowing the inevitable loneliness. However, I cheer for myself since this is the choice from the heart of a young people born in the 1990’s. I believe that although the road is bumpy, the scenery on the roadside must be very fascinating! In the end, please accept my heartful thanks to the upcoming deliberation on my application by your prestigious admissions.
