YEAR OF THE JUBILEE 2025

The Holy Father announced that 2025 will be a year of Jubilee (something which happens every 25 years), and the theme is

The Holy Door of Saint Peter is only opened by the Pope during a jubilee, and it is usually the first door to be opened to indicate the beginning of the Holy Year. This rite was first reported to happen at Saint Peter’s Basilica in 1500 during the papacy of Alexander VI. At present, the wall sealing the door is dismantled a few days in the days leading up to its opening. During this time, a case, which has been bricked over since the end of the previous Holy Year, is freed, and inside it contains the key which allows the door to be opened.

DAY 1: DEPARTURE / USA TO ROME

Your pilgrimage begins today when you board your flight to Rome.

DAY 2: ROME: TREVI FOUNTAIN

Upon arrival in the “Eternal City” of Rome, we will meet our tour guide, board the touring vehicle, and begin a panoramic tour featuring some of the city’s most popular sites. We will stop at Trevi Fountain for lunch before continuing to your hotel to settle in and unpack. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 3: PAPAL AUDIENCE / PANTHEON / SPANISH STEPS

After breakfast, you will attend a Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square (pending the Holy Father’s schedule). After the audience, you may enjoy lunch on your own before taking a walking tour of the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 4: ST. PETER’S / ST. PAUL OUTSIDE THE WALLS / CATACOMBS

Begin your day celebrating Mass at the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica! Enjoy time for personal exploration of

St. Peter’s before we take a more in-depth, guided tour. Afterward, we will visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of Rome’s four major basilicas where the Apostle Paul is buried. Next, we will continue with a tour of St. Lawrence Outside the Walls, followed by lunch. After lunch, we’ll visit the catacombs of St. Sebastian and, later, return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 5: VATICAN MUSEUMS / SISTINE CHAPEL

After breakfast, we will tour the Vatican Museums and the famous Sistine Chapel! Afterward, we will visit the church of Santa Croce in Jerusalem. Enjoy the remainder of your day visiting St. Mary Major and St John in Lateran, two of Rome’s major papal basilicas. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 6: ANCIENT ROME

This morning, we will tour Ancient Rome, including the Colosseum, Capitol Hill, the Vittorio Emmanuel Monument, the Roman Forum, and Circus Maximus. You’ll have a free afternoon to explore Rome

St. John Lateran independently. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 7: ROME / ASSISI

This morning, we will travel to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis and St. Clare. We will also visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, the site of the “Porziuncola.” Next, we will stop at the Convent of St Damian, the Basilica of St. Francis, and the Basilica of St. Clare. The remainder of your day is free to explore independently. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 8: ASSISI / ROME

After breakfast, we will take a walking tour of the city. After lunch, we will visit the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore to pray at the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis. This afternoon, we’ll return to Rome and have some free time to explore on our own. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 9: ROME / USA

We will transfer to the airport this morning and catch our return flight home.

This morning, we head toward the Adriatic coast to the great Marian shrine of Loreto to visit the Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. Next, we will continue to Lanciano and celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Longinus, the site of the 8th-century Eucharistic Miracle. Afterward, there will be free time to explore Lanciano before continuing to San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 9: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO / MONTE SANT’ ANGELO

This morning, you will visit the Old Church and celebrate Mass. After Mass, you will tour the sanctuary and view the crucifix St. Pio stood before as he received the stigmata. We will also see the confessional, where Padre Pio directed people on their path and pray before his incorrupt body. As we leave San Giovanni, we will have a stunning view of the Gargano Peninsula as we travel to the Grotto of St. Michael the Archangel, a shrine consecrated by St. Michael. Following your grotto visit, enjoy free time to explore on your own before returning to San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 10: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO / MONTE CASSINO / ROME

Heading north, we will take in the fantastic panoramic views as we pass through the rich Italian countryside of vineyards, orchards, and olive groves. Our first stop today will be Monte Cassino, a town founded by St. Benedict in 529. We will tour the magnificent Abbey of Monte Cassino, where the Benedictine Order was founded by St. Benedict, and visit the Church of St. Peter and Paul before continuing to Rome. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

We will transfer to the airport this morning to catch our return flight home.

DAY 1: DEPART USA / MILAN

Your pilgrimage begins today as you depart on your overnight flight to Milan.

DAY 2: ARRIVE MILAN

Upon arrival, we will meet our tour guide, board the touring vehicle, and proceed to the Duomo, the most magnificent Gothic building in Northern Italy. We will then tour the Basilica and Tomb of St. Ambrose and the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where we will celebrate Mass (subject to availability and reconfirmation). Afterward, we will stop at Castel Sforzesco and the famous La Scala Opera House. For the rest of the day, you can visit the Forza boutiques and stroll through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele arcade with its many luxury outlets. Proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 3: MILAN / VERONA / PADOVA

This morning, we depart Milan for Verona, a city celebrated by Shakespeare, who made it famous as the romantic setting of Romeo and Juliet. Verona lies in an ancient corner of the Veneto region, nestled between the Adige River Adige and Lake Garda. While in Verona, we will visit the Minor Basilica of San Zeno and Verona Cathedral. Afterward, we will continue to Padova, where we will celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Anthony of

Padua. Continue to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 4: PADOVA / VENICE

We depart for Venice this morning. Also known as “The Queen of the Adriatic,” Venice has a total absence of wheeled transportation, which makes it one of the most charming and poetic cities in the world. Our visit begins at the Basilica of St. Mark, adorned with golden mosaics and religious icons. It was built to honor the body of St. Mark, brought from Alexandria in Egypt. After Mass, we see the Piazza di San Marco and the Palazzo Ducale (the palace of the Doge, the political leader of the Republic of Venice). The balance of your day is free to explore more of this wonderful city, preferably on a gondola! Proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 5: VENICE / PISA / FLORENCE

This morning, we leave Venice and travel to Pisa! While there, we will explore the monuments of Pizza dei Miracoli, the Duomo, the Baptistery, and the Leaning Tower. Later this afternoon, we will continue to Florence, the “Jewel of the Renaissance,” where we will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 6: FLORENCE / ASSISI

After breakfast, we begin our tour of Florence by visiting the Duomo–Santa Maria, the Baptistery of San Giovanni, and the Academia, where we marvel at Michelangelo’s David. Next, we will celebrate Mass at a frescoed chapel in the Franciscan Church of Santa Croce before continuing to Assisi for the evening, where we will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 7: ASSISI / SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

After breakfast, we will begin our guided tour of Assisi, home to St. Francis. We will tour the Basilica housing the Saint’s tomb and continue to explore the town. After Mass, there is free time to explore and shop on your own before leaving for San Giovanni Rotondo, where we will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 8: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO / CAVE OF ST. MICHAEL / ROME

We will celebrate Mass this morning at the tomb of St. Padre Pio, followed by a sanctuary tour. We will see the old church and crucifix he stood before as he received the stigmata in 1918. We will also see the confessional, where Padre Pio directed people on their path and pray before his incorrupt body. As we leave San Giovanni, we will have a stunning view of the Gargano Peninsula as we travel to the Grotto of St. Michael the Archangel. Saints, popes, and people from all over have come to this grotto looking for the protection and intercession of St. Michael. Finally, we will continue to Rome and check into our hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

As we leave Rome, we will head south, taking in fantastic panoramic views as we pass through the rich Italian countryside of vineyards, orchards, and olive groves. This morning, we will travel to Lanciano, where we’ll celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Longinus, home of the 8th-century Eucharistic Miracle! Next, we will continue toward the Adriatic coast to the great Marian Shrine of Loreto. While in Loreto, we will visit the Holy House of Nazareth and the beautiful Madonna of Loreto. We will enjoy lunch before continuing to Assisi, the hometown of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and the founder of the Franciscan Order. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel in Assisi.

DAY 10: ASSISI

After breakfast, we will celebrate Mass at St. Mary of the Angels Basilica, home to the Porziuncola, the tiny church in the woods where St. Francis began his ministry and where St. Clare started her religious life. We will tour the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and view many of his possessions, such as the crucifix that said to him, “Rebuild my Church.” We will see the chapel where St. Francis spent most of his time and visit the Church of St. Clare. The rest of the day is for shopping or relaxing. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 11: ASSISI / SIENA / FLORENCE

After breakfast, we will travel to Siena and have a tour of its great Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, completed in 1380. Next, we will visit the Sanctuary of St. Catherine of Siena, which keeps the Miraculous Crucifix from which she received her stigmata. Afterward, we will walk the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo and visit two of their many architectural treasures: the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre Del Mangia. We will then continue to the Basilica of St. Dominic, where we will see the incorrupt relics of St. Catherine of Siena before continuing to Florence and checking into our hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 12: FLORENCE

You will have a full day in Florence and see many of its fantastic sites, like the Church of the Holy Cross and the Santa Croce, where many nobles, such as Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli, are buried. We will walk through the Piazza Signorina, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and Republic Square to reach the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, an iconic piece of Florence architecture. After your tour, we will visit L’Accademia, a well-known art gallery, where you will view the works of Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Pontormo, and the ever-famous sculpture by Michelangelo, David. Afterward, we will have free time to explore more of the city and the museum. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 13: FLORENCE / MILAN

Today, we will proceed to Milan and visit the Duomo, the most magnificent Gothic building in Northern Italy! We depart Rome and head south, taking in fantastic panoramic views as we pass through the rich Italian countryside of vineyards, orchards, and olive groves. Our first stop will be Monte Cassino, a town founded by St. Benedict in 529. DAY 8: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO / MONTE SANT’ANGELO

We will celebrate Mass this morning at the tomb of St. Padre Pio, followed by a sanctuary tour. We will see the old church and crucifix he stood before as he received the stigmata in 1918. We will also see the confessional, where Padre Pio directed people on their path and pray before his incorrupt body. Next, enjoy the stunning view of the Gargano Peninsula as we travel to the Grotto of St. Michael the Archangel. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 9: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO / LANCIANO / ASSISI

This morning, we will travel to Lanciano and visit the Church of St. Longinus, where we will see the 8th-century Eucharistic Miracle and celebrate Mass. After lunch, we’ll continue to Assisi, the hometown of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and the founder of the Franciscan Order. DAY 10: ASSISI

After breakfast, we will celebrate Mass at St. Mary of the Angels Basilica, home of the Porziuncola, the tiny church in the woods where St. Francis began his ministry and where St. Clare started her religious life. Next, we will tour the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and view many of his possessions, like the crucifix that said to him, “Rebuild my Church.” We visit the chapel where St. Francis spent most of his time and the Church of St. Clare, where her relics are housed. DAY 13: MEDJUGORJE

While in Medjugorje, you will have the opportunity to grow your faith and share in the faith journey of pilgrims from all over the world. We will celebrate Mass and climb Apparition Hill, where the visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Also, at the base of this hill is a Blue Cross, where it is said Mary appeared to the children while they hid from the communist police in the early days of the apparitions. DAY 1: FLIGHT TO LISBON, PORTUGAL

Your pilgrimage begins today when you board your overnight flight to Lisbon.

DAY 2: LISBON / SANTAREM / FATIMA

Upon arrival in Lisbon, we will meet our local guide, board our touring vehicle, and drive to Santarem. We will have Mass at the Church of St. Stephen, where the 13th-century Eucharistic miracle occurred. Proceed to your hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 3: FATIMA

After breakfast, we begin our Fatima tour with Mass at the Chapel of Apparitions, where the Virgin Mary visited the three children (Lucia dos Santos, Francisco, and Jacinta Marto). Next, we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, followed by the village of Aljustrel, where the three children lived during the apparitions. We will also visit Valinhos, a countryside place on Fatima’s outskirts that is also an apparition site. DAY 5: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

We begin our day at the Santiago de Compostela Arch Cathedral Basilica, the reputed burial place of Saint James the Great. It is among the few remaining churches in the world built over an Apostle’s tomb. Afterward, we will visit the Churches of San Francisco and Santa Clara, the Bell Tower, and other popular Santiago sites. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 6: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA / BURGOS

Today’s tour takes us to Burgos, where we will visit the magnificent UNESCO-listed Burgos Cathedral, a masterpiece of Spanish Gothic architecture! The profusion of sculptural decoration and grandiose proportions make this cathedral one of the most impressive in Spain. We will celebrate Mass and have some free time to explore a little more of the city before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

Our tour of Lourdes begins this morning at St. Bernadette’s house. We will also see the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Miraculous Spring, the Shrine of Bernadette, and the XII century Castle. Afterward, we’ll participate in the Stations of the Cross. The rest of the day is free for you to participate in any ceremonies or explore independently. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 9: LOURDES / ROME: TREVI FOUNTAIN

We will transfer to the airport this morning to catch our flight to Rome. Upon arrival, we will meet our local guide, board our touring vehicle, and take a panoramic tour, stopping at the famous Trevi Fountain, where you’ll have free time for lunch before we continue to your hotel to settle in and unpack. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your hotel.

DAY 10: PAPAL AUDIENCE / PANTHEON / SPANISH STEPS

After breakfast, you will attend a Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square (pending the Holy Father’s schedule). After the audience, you may enjoy lunch on your own before taking a walking tour of the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.

DAY 11: ST. PETER’S / ST. PAUL OUTSIDE THE WALLS / CATACOMBS

This morning, we will take a tour of Ancient Rome! We will visit the Colosseum, Capitol Hill, the Vittorio Emmanuel Monument, the Roman Forum, and Circus Maximus.
