NEW & IMPROVED The all new CS3® is made from an exclusive nickel titanium material that has amazing features and far surpasses other spring systems including our popular CS-2000®. Although the CS-2000® is extremely successful, we wanted to make it even better and that’s exactly what we did. The new CS3® spring will load force instantly and remain extremely consistent throughout treatment.

YOUR CLASS II & CLASS III SOLUTION This revolutionary system will guarantee results with your Class II and Class III orthodontic cases.

The CS3® Niti springs are a DynaFlex® exclusive, utilizing a patented, instant force (350 grams), closed coil spring and a specially built “key-hole” end which fits over a patented slotted base pivot similar to a Herbst® housing nut.

Previously I disliked treating Class III bites and underbites, but with the CS3® Springs I feel much more comfortable treating them and achieve a higher success rate.

Easy 10 Minute Step-By-Step Instructions For Archwire Placement

Class II Class III STEP 1:

Place 2 pivots on the upper archwire, position pivots distal to the upper canines, insert and ligate archwire

Outside the mouth, assemble a spring, screw and pivot combination. Place assembled components onto the lower archwire.

Insert and ligate archwire positioning the pivots mesial to the lower first molars

Outside the mouth, assemble a spring, screw and pivot combination. Place assembled components onto the upper archwire. Insert and ligate archwire positioning the pivots mesial to the upper first molars

Using a hemostat, stretch spring eyelet onto the upper pivot and secure in place with a screw

Tips For Class II Treatment

Class III Archwire Set-Up Example

No more than 2mm of initial mandibular advancement is recommended.

At subsequent visits, reposition the pivots or change from 10mm springs to 7mm springs for further mandibular advancement.

Using the Hybrid Screw For use in the active position, simply insert the screw into pivot and tighten to lock into desired position on the archwire.

For use in a passive position, simply cut off the tip of the hybrid screw with a hard wire cutter, allowing the pivot to move freely along archwire.

When used in a passive position, the pivot will be free to slide and rotate on archwire.
