Tamping Compactor CT300

Unbeatable production capacity for rapid The Dynapac CT300 tamping compactor has been designed to efficiently achieve specified densities on cohesive and semi-cohesive soils. With an operating weight of 21 tons and an average production capacity of 800 cubic meters per hour, the CT300 is ideal on projects such as highways, dams and airport runways where large-volume earthwork is required.

Driven by a powerful turbo-diesel engine, the CT300 features an automatic 4-speed transmission that provides optimum four-wheel traction for high productivity.

Excellent performance

Comfort, operational ease and safety

The ergonomic operator’s station features an adjustable seat with a variable suspension for a comfortable ride, which can reduce fatigue and increase productivity. The operator has a clear view of the dashboard, which displays all of the necessary information, and easy access to all of the controls. Excellent visibility in all directions helps the operator maintain control of the machine, including the strike off blade, for superior compaction results and safe operation. Additional safety features include a low center of gravity to ensure optimum stability of the machine and two brake systems – a service brake with an independent double circuit that acts on all four drums, and a parking brake that acts on the transmission.

◄ The front oscillating axle, working in conjunction with the optional strike off blade, is joined to the rigid rear axle. This enables the blade to work in a permanently level position and ensures uniform distribution of soil on any type of terrain. The optimal design and distribution of the square pads on the compacting drums maximize the energy transmitted to the soil, which helps the CT300 produce uniform compaction density with minimum scarification. The unaligned position of the drums also allows the rear drum to compact areas that have not been compacted by the front drum. Therefore, a double pass of the machine results in a compaction width of 4.4 meters. This means the CT300 can cover a larger area in fewer passes, saving time, fuel and money on the job, as well as minimizing the environmental impact of the machine.

Excellent maneuverability

The hydrostatic steering allows a steering angle of 40° to either side and a turning radius of 6.3 meters for easier maneuverability in tight areas.

and efficient compaction

Optimum visibility to the front and rear allows exceptional control of the strike off blade.

Each drum is mounted on a pair of rubber tires that absorb shocks and dampen vibrations.

The engine compartment’s side covers are easy to open and allow complete access to frequent service points during maintenance.

Each drum is equipped with two sets of adjustable scrapers made of tempered steel. Positioned over the rows of pads, the scrapers keep the drums free of residual dirt during operation.
