VIDEO INPUT BOX (VIB) QUICK START GUIDE

A B O U T T H E VIDEO INPUT B O X - The VIB allows you to connect various external devices to be used as video sources (i.e. DVD Player, Video Camera, etc.) - The connection interface of this device is divided as follows: 1 - A / V Connection Panel (located on the front) 2 - System Panel (located at the back)

GETTING POWER FOR THE UNIT

- Depending on the Model, the VIB

Power Connection

could be internal or external - For Models DS0706 / 0616C / 0808C, the VIB is Internal - The input power is already connected through the display’s main switch; whenever this is turned ON, so will the VIB - For Model DS1508 / 2012, the VIB is External

- Using included power connect to a 110V outlet - See power connector on the right for reference * RS-232 of DVI Board is used for the Monitor System Software (included)

1 - Access the Connection Panel* 2 - Connect the video cable(s) of your External Device** to the Connection Panel eg. memory card player’s S-Video cable, PC’s VGA cable 3 - Connect the audio cable(s) of your External Device to the Connection Panel eg. R / L (red, white) audio cables from memory card player 4 - Ensure proper power connection (if needed) on your External Device

Sound: Volume Down Arrow: Left

Sound: Volume up Arrow: Right

Enter: to setup or go back Switch two sources

Active Audio Source

- Use the remote for the following steps: 1 - Press MENU button to enter or exit the menu window 2 - Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the menu 3 - Press ENTER button to highlight your selection (selection will turn into RED letters) 4 - Once highlighted, use LEFT / RIGHT arrows to change your selection 5 - Press MENU again to exit

CUSTOMIZING THE DISPLAY

ONE input as MAIN-Source : Image will clone, showing TWO of the same screens

Press MENU button to enter window menu Scroll over to the DISPLAY menu Scroll down to either MAIN SOURCE or SUB-SOURCE Press ENTER to highlight the source you want to change (selection will turn into RED letters) - Once highlighted, use LEFT / RIGHT arrows to change your source from Video 1 to Video 2 to SVideo, etc

ONE input as SUB-Source : Image will expand, showing a wide screen in full wrap

S E L E C T I N G A UDIO SOURCE - To select Active Audio Source, press the WINDOW button on the VIB remote NOTE:

Audio-In 1 and 2 are shared between SVideo input and Composite Video input PC Audio input is shared between VGA and DVI video inputs

S A VI N G S E T T I NGS - Once your inputs have been set as desired, you can save them as your default inputs by pressing POWER off - You can turn the VIB back on with new default settings

I M A G E A N D AUDIO MENU ADJUSTMENTS - Here you can adjust image brightness and contrast - Also, you can change the volume and change the RGB settings of the display 1 - Press MENU to open the setup menu 2 - Press UP or DOWN to move to your desired selection 3 - Press ENTER button to highlight your selection (selection will turn into RED letters)

4 - Once highlighted, use LEFT / RIGHT arrows to change your selection 5 - Press ENTER to go back to setup menu selections 6 - Press MENU to exit

APPENDIX - SHORTCUT KEYS ON THE REMOTE CONTROL

VIDEO INPUT SOURCE - To change the video input source without accessing the menu, use the following shortcut keys

PICTURE MODE - To change the picture mode without accessing the menu, use the following shortcut key

VIDEO button : press repeatedly to circle through  Video1  Video2  Svideo1  Svideo2  COMP button : press to switch to and from component  Y.Cb.Cr.  Y.Pb.Pr.  PC button : press to switch to and from  VGA  DVI 

POP or PIP buttons : change from one mode to the other AUDIO INPUT SOURCE - To change the audio input source without accessing the menu, use the following shortcut key WINDOW button : switch active audio source between MAIN source and SUB source * If you DO NOT hear a sound: - ensure proper connection of audio cables - increase the volume using volume knob on the front of VIB - turn volume up with remote
