e-PaperWorld Paris 2010 2 nd edition of the International Forum for eBooks, Tablet PC, smart applications & intelligent medias The 2nd International Forum E-PaperWorld universcience happened in the City of Science and Industry of Paris 6 and 7 May 2010. Following the CNAM (Paris) Seminar on “the print industry struggle in the e-paper era”, & the first International Print, E-book, intelligent player & smart applications forum at UQAM in Montréal, Canada, from 30th September to 1st October 2009, E-PW took place in France. With this event of international dimension, the city of Paris has become a strategic communication hub for the major actors in the high-tech e-paper, e-redears, tablet PC, intelligent medias, smart applications, publishing and graphic industries, allowing them to gather, meet, exchange ideas and create new synergies. The prospective applications and the Socio-economic and cultural presentations and discussions were around 12 round tables and 17 conferences by the best specialists. E-paperWorld was thus the first forum to analyse in depth the issues and progress realized so far in this new and innovative field. Companies and key industry organizations were presented individually with 40 booths in addition to their participation in the roundtables and conferences, to allow essential exchange between professionals and between professionals and the general public. We would like to thank our partners and our visitors for this first edition in France.

Review of Conferences and roundtables The Center for Science and Industry is a specialized institution in the dissemination of scientific and technical. Its mission is to disseminate to a wider audience the scientific and technical knowledge, and stimulate the interest of citizens to social issues related to science, research and industry. On May 6, 2010 debuted the ceremonies of the 25 years since its foundation It is within this framework that took place on the forum E-PaperWorld for its first edition in Europe, allowing leaders, industrialists, engineers, broadcasters, academics, watchmen, associations, lawyers and economists to present and exchange ideas in synergy. E-PaperWorld Paris A Electronic Paper & Communication (EPC) Forum This event took place in spaces «Digital Forum» and «Condorcet» in City of Science and Industry. It was organized by the EPC@Partners.inc company, founded by Eric Le Ray. For its second edition, this professional forum hosted 40 booths, 12 round tables and 17 conferences (200 participants) and received good coverage on the Internet relay. Once again, the E-PaperWorld register as an ideal place to understand, anticipate and decide at the heart of current developments and future. We are currently preparing the 2nd North American edition planned for winter 2010 in Montreal (Mobility & convergence : issues & strategies).
