Science—Flight Christmas beetles, reindeer, Santa’s sleigh and helicopters…. Hmmm… what do they all have in common? They are all capable of flight! The Science of flight is called aerodynamics It is a fascina ng area to study. There are four forces that affect things that fly:
1. Weight is the force of gravity. It acts in a downward direction—toward the centre of the Earth.
