I have a workshop on Boundary Road just off Hoe Street in Walthamstow.

Originally built as a vehicle repair shop, and subsequently a builder’s yard and a watermelon warehouse, I arrived 7 years ago. It’s light, airy and fully equipped for the job in hand. We grow vegetables in the yard, play lots of table tennis and throw the occasional party. Much of my work is bespoke commissions for manufacturers, galleries and private clients. I also produce my own range of products for retail. Each project has its own set of challenges and rewards. I’ve had the good fortune of working with some great companies and individuals who have complete trust in my ability. Working with

Heals was particularly rewarding because of their reputation and commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Currently we are working on the new office interior for local estate agents Stow Brothers. As the means of production becomes more mechanised I think it’s important to preserve traditional craft skills. I also believe it’s important to embrace new technologies such as 3D printing and CNC machining (where lathes and routers, for example, are controlled by a computor). It’s this marriage of traditional and new which I find exciting and allows for a fresh approach in exploring my chosen craft.

From an early age I knew I wanted to make things with my hands. I was encouraged to play with different materials by my parents and would while away the hours constructing all sorts of rudimentary objects in my dad’s shed. After school I cut my teeth as a pattern maker, carpenter and had a spell converting barns before putting myself onto a furniture crafts course in Warwickshire. I then went to Bucks University to study furniture design and craftsmanship and have been a furniture maker ever since.

My design hero is a danish designer called Hans Wegner whose ambition was to create the perfect chair. In fact he designed 500, each one beautifully executed, although he strived to make the next one better. His ability to take the forms nature provides without directly copying them is testament to his talent. Other than that artists such as Alexander Calder and Richard Wentworth are a continuous source of inspiration.

Aside from the obvious joy of discovering new and exciting art – the forthcoming Art Trails in Walthamstow and Leytonstone bring the occasional thrill of discovering amazing things at the ends of people’s gardens. Yes, there are the garden sheds but also a plethora of former workshops and tiny factories often converted into studios and used by groups of artists, designers and makers. Our cover features the work of Gavin Coyle, one such designer who has created a stunning workshop out of an unloved building on Boundary Road. His workshop will be open this June for the Art Trail and I heartily recommend a visit. The feature is the first supported by Fullers Builders who’ve trained and worked with local craftsmen for 150 years. Their joinery projects for clients like National Trust are made in local workshops not unlike Gavin’s. This month also sees the third birthday of Blackhorse Workshop housed in a former factory (see the listing for their birthday party on 24 March on p40). It is home to an amazing collection of furniture, lighting and product designers (blackhorseworkshop.co.uk/makers). It’s nice to think that all these workshops continue a long tradition of such skills and innovations in the area, it would make William Morris proud. Another aspect of the Art Trails is that they are truly community driven. Some of the people involved are full time professionals but the majority are people who use the event to have a crack at something creative, sometimes for the first time. It’s often also a chance for a party or a knees up, or just a chat and chance to get to know your neighbours for participants and visitors alike. It knows no boundaries and ultimately further integrates our various communities. Community events like these are even more significant when so much in politics today seems to be about dividing people. Such divisions are all too familiar to people like Abdulmaalik Tailor (pg 28), this month’s Local Hero who grew up in E17 when local communities were ripped apart by racism and division 30 years ago. He uses his experiences and love of history to run his Muslim History Tours. It is important that we all remember what has come before so we don’t just keep making the same mistakes. Urban Dynamo This concrete jungle we live in may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it provides local artist Andrew Harrison with almost all the inspiration he needs. Daisy Lilley meets him to talk block colours, Blade Runner and bevelling.

When you ask an artist where they find their creative inspiration it’s not often you find yourself immersed in a conversation about the architecture and road layouts of science fiction films like Tron, The Matrix and Blade Runner, but that’s where the talk goes within minutes of sitting down with 37 year old Andrew Harrison in his art studio/workshop. Although it’s perhaps not the most orthodox approach to finding ideas, his introduction into art was rather more 4

conventional – a BTEC Foundation Course followed by a BA at Plymouth University in fine art, then onto a Masters in fine art painting at the Wimbledon School of Art. But with the digital era looming, Andrew was interested to see how the dawn of computers, technology and film could impact the world of art. By day, he took a job as an art handler and technician – a career he’s learned to love. There he has discovered the logistics and installation process of art, often handling

pieces worth millions of pounds. But by night he was busy exploring his own ideas. Having had access to his own studio when he lived at home with his parents, that luxury eluded him until he moved to Walthamstow nearly four years ago. Now he’s built a space at the back of his garden to work in which has increased his art output nearly as much as the arrival of his daughter, Neve, in turn decreased it! A single piece of art will take Andrew a couple of months to complete from

conception to finished product. He will initially sketch up some ideas on paper, always loosely based on a city setting either found in those science fiction films he loves or in real life aerial views of London and beyond. He examines the environment, then edits it down to its most simple form, tinkering with the layout until the composition is just so. Once, in the quest for a perfect composition, he built an entire city set out of Foamcore, drenched it in dry ice, then snapped away with his digital SLR and turned the photos into prints.

With the final drawings completed the next stop is Adobe Illustrator on his computer where he can decide which colour schemes work best according to the shape of the segments in the work, usually employing strong, solid blocks of colour to give an illusion of weight. Then he picks his materials â&#x20AC;&#x201C; mainly thick MDF, sometimes mixed with acrylic sheets â&#x20AC;&#x201C; and painstakingly builds the piece, sculpting and bevelling the elements into position. The end result is a dynamic, bold relief painting, with a three-dimensional

structure giving more than a nod towards the urban environments he so reveres. Andrew has shown his work in exhibitions in Cambridge, Leeds, Berlin and London. The dream is to be a full time artistâ&#x20AC;Ś well, that and continue to watch science fiction movies obviously.

Creativity and memory What is creativity and how does it interact with our humanity and the mundanity of everyday life? Deborah Talbot talks to Harriet Paige, author and Walthamstow resident, about her first novel Man with a Seagull on his Head. What made you want to write your first novel? We all balance idealism and pragmatism, and I’m no exception. I wanted to be a novelist but didn’t quite see it as a realistic career choice.

of the novel, a friend, Rowena Macdonald, author of the short story collection Smoked Meat, suggested sending it to independent publishers rather than one of the big publishing houses.

Instead, I fell into journalism. But journalism was never completely going to satisfy me creatively, so I left to do an MA in Creative Writing.

Bluemoose Books was one of the first I sent my sample chapters to, and they got back to me in a matter of hours saying they’d like to see more. And so it went.

I wrote one novel which was unpublished, then immediately started a another, which is Man with a Seagull on his Head. How did you find the experience of writing the novel? It’s been quite a long process because although I wrote most of the book before I had children, I then had to finish it, and combining motherhood with writing has not been easy. So the novel was finished in small pockets of concentrated time. In a way, I think it has benefitted by being left alone for periods because I returned to it with fresh, critical eyes. I’m thinking about writing another novel now, but it won’t be for a while. Like most people who combine creativity with parenting, ideas pop into my head when I have moments of true aloneness. Parts of the plot for this novel fell into place in the shower one morning. How did you go about getting it published? As I got further towards the end point 6

How did you get the idea for the novel? I think I can trace it back to someone I heard speaking on the radio about memory, and how, if we remembered everything that our senses perceived, we couldn’t function. I started to wonder what might happen if someone were to remember absolutely everything – down to the tiniest detail – of what they saw just in one particular instant. I imagined an incredible and awe-inspiring beauty; that the secrets of the world might be unlocked if we could only see the world and hold it in our minds. Then I conceived of the simple – and fantastical – idea of this state being triggered by a freak accident, and of someone being locked in this mystical moment. The central character, Ray Eccles, represents this pure creative energy. He is an unassuming office worker who becomes

consumed by what he’s seen and is unable to stop depicting it. Others are drawn to him, who may have felt the promise of creativity but found it elusive. So the novel is really about the magic of creativity before it has taken shape in words or images. Ray has hold of that magic, but he can’t do anything but create. He can’t function normally. The novel traces the character from the Essex seaside to London. Is this thread of place meaningful in the novel? I always conceived of that moment, which becomes perfectly preserved in memory, as being by the sea, because there is something innately mystical and mysterious about the ocean. Southend, where a bird falls out of the sky and strikes Ray on the head is in many ways a dreary seaside town. But there are moments, when the light

is right, that it comes alive with a real radiant beauty. The element of surprise makes it all the more affecting somehow. London, connected to Southend by the river, is the centre of the art world where Ray ends up once he is discovered and taken in by George and Grace Zoob, the art collectors.

The poem makes me famous. I wander oxygen-depleted nights down city streets and hear lines of my poem bartered between moist lovers. On the train, I peek over the top of a hardback book about me at a man in a suit nodding off and recognise the words he’s mouthing in his swoon. All front pages, every day, showcase stanzas of my poem – bombings and murders get tucked inside. The new novelist pays well to get my poem printed as an introduction: she knows her work makes no sense without it. Everyone I have ever known rings me to ask how I did it. I say I don’t know, and that’s the truth. After a year the fuss hasn’t died away. I sit at my computer and hear next door turn the TV on. I put my ear to the wall. It’s an actor and he’s reading my poem. It’s a good version: I’ve heard it before.

He has a Shakespearean voice doing justice to what the introducer called The Best Poem Ever Written. I listen to it all, I travel where the poem takes me then get back in my chair and write a better one. Graham Clifford, a Head Teacher in Leyton, recently published his third collection of poetry, Computer Generated Crash Test Dummies. He has published nationally and internationally, performed at events including the Hay festival, been translated into Romanian and German and was a Forest Poet. Organic Lines A very human exhibition of paintings, drawings and prints by artists Charlotte Harker and Tom Hogan is opening at the Pictorem Gallery on Hoe Street, Walthamstow in March.

The exhibition is intended to show both artists’ work across very different medias, and to highlight the similarities and differences in their work. And there are plenty of differences to highlight, but the running theme is the act of drawing and the lines within it. From what we’ve seen of the pieces being exhibited there’s also a theme threaded through the organic realness of their subject matter. Harker’s natural landscapes and Hogan’s very human day to day goings on are not only familiar, making the unusual way they’re presented even more interesting, but full of life.

Harker is a London-based artist and has another exhibition coming up in Canary Wharf this year. Her paintings of landscapes, from urban scenes to ancient monuments, are of places that she’s visited and have had a lasting effect on her. The drypoint prints are more recent examples of her work, and it’s here that you can see the development of her drawing and her intricate, cellular lines. I briefly spoke to Avtar, owner of the Pictorem Gallery about the exhibition, “Most of the people that display here are either customers or we know them

from the area, so this is quite an unusual exhibition. It’s wonderful to be attracting artists from outside Walthamstow. Charlotte actually came in a while ago, but we’ve been booked up for some time (almost two years) so this is finally our chance to show their work.” Hogan is originally from London, but spent a decade exhibiting and working in Europe and Australia before returning just over three years ago. This time away hugely effected his artwork, and when he came home he focussed on drawing, but in a wider sense. It’s Hogan’s art that uses

manipulated galvanised wire, so when I say drawing, I mean as well as that same theme of threading lines. His figurative compositions are juxtaposed with Harker’s portrait paintings, with the whole exhibition laid out in a salon style. This means the works are displayed in groups, singled out, and higher and lower than the traditional eye-level single row you might find in a museum. The layout is intentional and meant to emphasise those similarities and differences between the two. Hanging the work in this way also gives the collection a sense of evolution, running around the space like a time-line. Finnola D’Albert

DON’T buy anything for the new place before you’ve exchanged contracts. Sellers can change their minds, get a better offer, you can get cold feet, lots can go askew, and the art deco dresser you got for the 1920s house you thought you were buying, won’t work in the two bed flat that you finally go for. DO as much research as you can on what you might need to buy for the new home, but bear in mind there is nothing like living somewhere first to find out what really works in the space. DO pack everything really well into marked boxes as the best-laid moving plans can change (vans can break down etc). Your things might be packed for a while and get stored elsewhere. Choose a recommended removal company. And (this may be rather obvious), pack a clearly marked box for immediate use when you arrive. Kettle, mugs, toothbrushes etc. Picking up the keys for the new place can get delayed and you may get behind schedule for a multitude of reasons and arrive in your new home late at night. DO try and leave the old place clean and tidy. You might need to pick up mail or be in contact with the new tenant for some reason. A bottle of wine or a welcome card is a nice touch and with any luck you will receive the same compliment when you arrive in your own, new home. What niggles you about your home? Residential developments and the role of private developers With the continuing growth of cities, the need to meet housing targets puts pressure upon the government and local authorities to facilitate the construction of more housing. Whilst a good portion of new housing is built by Housing Associations in conjunction with local authorities, much of the remainder is built by private developers. With a shortage of available “greenfield” sites (new land not previously used for building) within cities and urban areas, more development is taking place on “brownfield sites” (sites previously built on or used for commercial purposes). By nature, Brownfield sites in urban areas can be challenging. They tend to be smaller and so the proximity of adjacent buildings and the relationship of any proposal to them is a consideration. There may be issues of land contamination, archaeology, trees, structures etc. to be dealt with. When looking at new developments there are many areas for consideration before the architecture of the buildings. At an early stage, it is important to understand the planning constraints, allowable density of development, amenity space requirements etc. to assess the number of units possible and hence the viability of the site.

Who can help? Architects with experience in residential developments are an asset to a developer. Their knowledge of relevant planning legislation enables them to assess the capacity of the site and hence the viability, at a very early stage. Experience in the design of residential developments will result in proposals which are in tune with the aspirations of the Local Plan whilst maximising the development potential of a site.

Lease countdowns If you own a leasehold property, you need to be aware of the unexpired term left on your lease. A lease gives you the property for a fixed period of time - often 99 years, though leases can be for any length of time. As time passes and the term of the lease gets shorter, its value will decline. If there is plenty of time left the fall in value is barely noticeable, but once the term approaches 80 years the fall in value will affect you when you come to sell. This is because legislation increases the sum payable to a landlord if the term has dropped below 80 years. If your lease has around 85 years left, it is time to start considering what you can do to minimise the financial impact of extending the term. The cost of doing so will depend on a number of variables including the value of your property, your annual ground rent and the number of years remaining on the lease. Arctic voyage This month sees a new exhibition Scenes from a Virtual Journal at Leytonstone’s Stone Space Gallery. Here the artist Rose Parker tells of her grandmother’s remarkable adventure that became the inspiration for her work for the show. Scenes from a Virtual Journal is a series of paintings based on language collected from the Facebook posts of my grandmother’s travels in the Arctic Circle. I was intrigued by what she wrote because it was an atypical use of social media; for the most part, people use photos and captions when posting about their travels. My grandmother was unable to do this, as she felt that her camera was repeatedly failing to produce the images she wanted to create. She therefore had to resort to language in order to convey, not just what she saw, but her emotional responses. I thought it would be an interesting experiment to see if I could become a substitute for her camera and turn her descriptions into a visual representation of her experiences. In these works I have created typography from words found within the original source text. I wanted there to be a tangible link between my grandmother’s writing and my final paintings. Rose Parker is a young artist living in Waltham Forest. She graduated from Wimbledon College of Art in 2015 and has exhibited extensively in the UK and Europe. She has been sponsored for the show by The Cygnus Trust, an East London charity which supports organisations in the local community through the provision of grants and donations. See cygnustrust.org

Electronic music promoter, musician and DJ, Kat Richmond will be DJing and performing tunes from Arsenic Mines, live house and techno with guest vocals from Wild Card’s head brewer, Jaega Wise. “This will be a great showcase for female DJs and acts, we have some other special friends joining us too,” says Kat.

This eclectic all-dayer showcasing each DJ, with the live performance at 5pm is fundraising for two fantastic charities that support women (see Facebook for full details). “It’s going to be kaleidoscopic! Everyone is welcome to listen and dance and create a better balance of people in club culture.” Says Auntie Maureen. “There are so many more women involved in DJing and promotion than when I first started back in the 70s, and this event will be a brilliant opportunity to catch several of us all on the same bill”, adds Dolores Rocket.

Walthamstow High Street Walthamstow High Street today forms the hub of shopping in Walthamstow, with its market, high street shops and independent retailers stretching from Hoe Street down to St James Street.

Originally a rural lane which sloped westwards from Hoe Street down to common marshland and Walthamstow Mill, it became known as Marsh Street and by the early 19th century was lined with grand houses, many of them occupied by merchants and businessmen. As Walthamstow transformed from a rural to an urban area during the 19th century and into the 20th, the character of the street changed as the grand houses and their grounds gave way to more closelyspaced retail premises, reflected in the name change to High Street in 1882, as well as the arrival of a firmly established market by the mid-1880s. In some cases business owners began trading on the street’s market, moving to more permanent premises on Walthamstow High Street as they became more successful. This was the case with George Borwick who had founded renowned baking powder firm Borwick & Sons in 1842. Their famous powders and baking aids were widely used but were first sold direct to the public from a Walthamstow

market stall and later a shop store which opened in on the High Street. Pawnbrokers at No. 114. Perhaps most famous of these is L. Manze eel, pie and mash shop at No. 76, established in 1929, which not only retains its original function, but its appearance too. Although most former shops and businesses of the 19th and 20th centuries are everfading memories, especially as some have been swept away and replaced with more modern development, glimpses into the distant and not so distant past are possible by identifying visual clues. A plaque affixed to the Oxfam shop at Nos. 2-4 indicates that the building was built as a Burtons

Abdulmaalik Tailor Abdulmaalik spent his formative years in Walthamstow including his conversion to Islam at 18. His faith and experiences combined with a passion for history led him to create the Muslim History Tours. Photography by Paul Tucker. You run something called Muslim History Tours. Tell us about it. The tours were established to try to counter the bad media coverage Muslims regularly receive in Britain. Too often, radical Muslims grab the headlines. Having a knowledge of British Muslim heritage, I wanted to showcase the positive image of British Muslims.

The tours cover central London and the City, but you also include places like Acton and Walthamstow. What made you choose these particular areas? I grew up in Walthamstow and now reside in Acton so both of these locations are close to my heart. The present climate of Islamophobia has parallels to the “Paki-bashing” era of the 1960s to mid-1980s. Anyone of South Asian appearance risked racial abuse and even having their homes fire bombed. In Walthamstow, groups of National Front followers had their regular hangouts. The NF would even rent council properties until they were banned. Their newspapers were openly sold in some newsagents and they tried opening a bookshop on Gosport Road but it was repeatedly bricked. I also see parallels to the 1930s, when the fascist Black Shirts held rallies and abused the Jewish community. Nearly a century on, racism still plays its part in Walthamstow – despite the origins of Walthamstow being recorded in 1075 as Wilcumestowe “the Place of Welcome”. I believe the first London Mosque was set-up at the end of the nineteenth century. I’m guessing there must have 28

been Muslims here long before that. Yes, indeed. The earliest mention of Muslims in Britain dates back to 774 when King Offa minted a gold coin bearing the Muslim declaration on faith, known as the Shahadah . (There is no deity worthy of worship except God).

begins at Verulam Avenue, where the first Walthamstow Mosque was set-up in a house in 1968. We then walk up Queens Road to the Masjid-e-Umar Mosque. The original mosque building here was in fact a synagogue and we show some pictures of the transformation.

The earliest known Muslim community on these shores was in 1641, eight years before the first translation of the English Quran was printed here.

The tour then covers the riots and tension of 1981, which included the deaths of Yunus Khan’s family on Belgrave Road. Yunus Khan himself survived and had a road named after him in 1986. Albert Road is also featured where the WFIA (Waltham Forest Islamic Association) was founded. The street was also home to an individual who suffered domestic violence in the 1990s at the hands of their parents after they’d converted to Islam.

The first Mosque in London was established in 1895 on Albert Street near Camden Town. Soon after, in the late 1890s, there’s a record of a group of Muslims holding prayers at the Royal Forest on Chingford’s Ranger’s Road. The first Mosque here in Waltham Forest was opened by the Pakistani High Commissioner in the 1960s. How were those early communities received? Early communities were not received very well. We know, for example, the early Liverpool Muslim community, who opened Britain’s first Mosque in 1889, were abused physically, psychologically and verbally. Describe for us the format of the Muslim History Tour in Walthamstow. The Walthamstow tour is a walk that

In 1981, for example, because of the protests, the High Street market had to be closed for the first time in its history. Before the establishment of a local Mosque, people prayed in some interesting places. That’s right. Back in the early 1960s, people were performing their prayers, and having lessons about the Quran, in houses on Folkestone Road, E17, then, soon after, on Albert Road.

How do you do your research? Mostly primary research; whether that’s digging into the archives, finding out about individuals or interviewing people. It’s a time-consuming process.

The 60s and 70s were very difficult for many people in the area due to the rise of racism and the far right. What was it like? Different people united to take on the National Front and the racists. For example, white girls from Walthamstow School for Girls organised demonstrations to stop the NF from using the school premises for their meetings. There were huge anti-fascist demonstrations on the day of the funeral of Yunus Khan’s family members. The Muslim youth at the time was no longer prepared to remain silent as their parents before them had done. They were no longer prepared to put up with police indifference. Out of all of this came ‘Rock Against Racism’, which was formed in 1976 by, among others, Walthamstow resident, Roger Huddle. How would you describe the relationship between the different Muslim communities and other faith groups over the last 100 years? When the Muslim communities first started arriving in Walthamstow it was reported in the local newspapers that only Jewish or other Muslims would offer them houses for rent. But I’ll give you one example that turned out positively. There was a factory on Lea Bridge Road called Liden. The factory owner was

Jewish and when, in 1965, his workforce, who were predominately Muslim, requested time off to pray Eid prayers he agreed but on the condition they did so nearby. He managed to secure Emmanuel Hall for their use. Tell us about some of the local heroes that have emerged in the Walthamstow Muslim community over the years. One of the elders and founders of WFIA was Mohammad Nizar Ali, born in Guyana, who arrived here during the 1950s. A local reporter, a few years later, described him “as having a wide understanding of racial issues”. Nizar Ali condemned the racist attacks, saying “We fought together in war and let’s now live in peace”. He was also instrumental in setting up the Muslim cemetery in Folly Lane. You said you once lived in Walthamstow. What was it like? When I was 13, my parents moved from Hackney to Albert Road. In fact, my mother still lives there. To be honest, I didn’t enjoy it, and my memories of living on Albert Road are not good memories. I grew up a Hindu but converted to Islam at the age of 18. Family members reacted badly, physically attacking me and kicking me out the house. That year I had to move six times or more. I was young and disoriented, but I survived!

When I was a bit older, I spent a year in Egypt, learning Arabic. I came back and moved to Acton, where I still live. If I asked you to board a time machine and go forward twenty years, and pick up your Muslim History Tours? How do you think you might describe Muslim life in London now? 20 years from now… I think there would be more tours, with staff, and mainstream companies embracing Halal tourism. Life for Muslims in London will be different. I believe Muslims will be more welcomed by society, and there will be far less Islamophobia. The Muslim community will, I imagine, be a lot more diverse with more instances of mixed marriages. What are your personal hopes for the future as a Muslim? As a Muslim I hope for certain types of abuse to be recognised, for example, convert domestic violence. I hope we’ll see far less discrimination against Muslims and that there’ll be better recognition of our proud heritage within Britain. Remember, we are not outsiders but contributors to Britain!

Between forest and marsh lies the glorious Stow. These are the tales and meanderings of a proud resident of E17 Come to Walthamstow, I’ll show you the sights, that’s what I said to two colleagues from the U.S. who were visiting London. I didn’t really expect them to say yes, I thought they would want to spend their Saturday taking photos of Big Ben and being disappointed by Piccadilly Circus, but much to my surprise they accepted my invitation. Oh my god, I said to my other half, what if they voted Trump, what if they start talking about making America Great again! Luckily, they came out as Trump haters so that worry went away. But as the visit date approached, I started to feel anxious, what if I’ve over-sold E17? What if they come to visit, find themselves in a shed on an industrial estate drinking beer wondering what on earth has happened to them. When Saturday arrived I met them at the tube station, they were huddled by the wall frantically texting me to make sure they hadn’t been abandoned. I decided to start the grand tour with the Olde Worlde charm of the Village. This used to be the workhouse, I declared as I pointed at the Vestry House. Deciding they might not know what a Workhouse was, I then said ‘You know, like in Oliver Twist’ – what a patronising idiot. We wandered past St Mary’s and the Ancient house, cameras going full speed to capture every timber and brick. Then we turned the corner and walked on to Ravenswood Estate. I could tell by their faces that they thought they were going to die. One of them asked with a hint of suspicion in her voice, am I visiting a car park? All that suspicion vanished as they walked in to God’s Own Junkyard. They stood open mouthed as the megawatts of neon washed over them. This is like Vegas in a shed, declared my American chum. I think I did pretty well as a tour guide, and it was good to see Walthamstow through fresh eyes, it was good to be reminded that E17 is a pretty cool place to live. walthamstowdiary.com
