Living on campus provides endless opportunities intended to foster personal development and independence, to explore or find your passion, and to establish lifelong friendships. Our student life model focuses on the gradual release concept. This provides students with more support initially as they learn to live independently and then gradually allows each student to do more on his or her own with less help and support from adults.

The remarkable success of students at Eagle Hill School follows from a deep commitment to the idea that difference is the norm—that each human being is better understood as unique than as an example of some type, much less a case of some disability. Every philosophical position and every curricular decision follows from this orientation to individuals.
We believe in finding our students’ strengths and teaching to them.

Academic courses
Our Curriculum Design is one of the most important and innovative ways in which Eagle Hill School manages to act on the specific needs of each student is our curriculum design.
Instead of trying to force each student's schedule into rigid calendar of semesters and quarters, Eagle Hill School’s calendar is a flexible matrix of six daily class meeting times over nine academic terms. Individual class sections can meet in a nearly unlimited range of configurations, allowing students to pursue their academic preparation in ways that make sense for their subject and their individual needs.
Students are placed in very small sections, averaging six students apiece, based on consideration of multiple data points such as student interest, achievement, social development, and learning preferences.
TYPICAL NINE-TERM SCHEDULE
Eagle Hill School is co-education college preparatory boarding school that provides an individualized education for students with diverse learning profiles.
It is our understanding of and appreciation for the inevitability of human diversity—sometimes elsewhere understood as disability—that is the indispensable idea on which our curriculum and instruction are built. We are a community that honors individual genius and values diversity.
