Old Jamesville fire station a hot topic By Tami S. Zimmerman editor@eaglebulletin.com

It’s time the old Jamesville fire station, vacant since it closed two years ago, finds a new use. But what? The Jamesville Women Shopowners, a

group formed to best promote the retail shops located in the hamlet of Jamesville, would like to see the building transformed into a commercial outfit to complete the JSW retail “loop.” “Many of our customers are destination shoppers,” said Sally Rock-Blake, owner of Smart Duck Bags. “They come here specifi-

cally for the Colonial Housefitters or the Yarn Shop or my bags or the Bead Shop. What we would like to see is this location fill in the loop and bring in the clientele that would enjoy spending a day – or part of a day – to walk all the shops. It would benefit all of us.” See Fire station, page 8
