HCD’s Showcase Selection Criteria Jurors scored our healthcare projects based on the following 4 Factors: • Were the Owner's desired outcomes and objectives achieved? • Context: how goals were achieved through visual and other methods? • What research was used and how did that frame the project?

Veteran Showcase jurors with over forty years of experience selected projects that were uniquely qualified to offer perspective on the changing tide in design. They prefer projects that reflect the challenges and what the industry is experiencing at the time. “Spaces are being designed smarter rather than larger and address the operational and efficiency aspects of certain design elements. Then we examine how these elements work with the design as a whole. Projects also went a step further and integrated the local culture and a deeper understanding of the community as a whole. This is something we, as a healthcare community, are becoming more attuned to in both rural and urban areas.”

• How were the challenges addressed with the dollars available? For more information about Earl Architects, please visit our website or contact anyone of our associates at our office directly.
