Sam Sheasby

Damien Paul Band

Elena Margolina has become the prize winner of many famous piano and chamber music competitions, among them the International Piano competition in Glasgow. Elena is often engaged throughout Europe and overseas, has had performances with leading orchestras and has also played under prominent conductors. She is welcomed as a guest in the large European concert halls and has had a great number of TV and radio recordings. The most distinguished German critic of music, Prof. Dr. Joachim Kaiser, writes about the artist:

Sam Sheasby is another amazing talent from the Island. At the tender age of 20, he is one of the most accomplished singer / songwriters to hail from our fair isle. Currently performing as a soloist, Sam’s work falls into the style of alternative country / soft rock with his influences including Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer and Ryan Adams. His storytelling, thought‑provoking lyrics and tranquillity can truly capture an audience.

Damien and his band of merry men will be entertaining you in July. Damien can be seen all around the Island in his Black Daniels duo or band, along with his Folsom Prisoners, but tonight will give you the chance to hear some of Damien’s original material.

“The listener feels Elena Margolina’s power and individuality of the Russian piano school: she has a wonderfully round sound and plays precisely, highly romantically, sensuously and still entirely controlled”.

Claydon kicks off our start of the Summer concert with his Americana style music, which he has performed all over the country and in the States. Look forward to a night of country music in the relaxed surroundings of our lounge at the John Cheverton Centre.
