GROWING A GREENER TEXAS!
HOW TO
W
elcome to Earth Day Texas (EDTx) in historic Fair Park! Our theme this year is the important issue of WATER. The event showcases the world’s largest public exhibition of environmental and water-conserving initiatives from businesses, environmental nonprofits, schools, universities, and government agencies. Our goal is to demonstrate how green lifestyle choices can reduce cost of living, improve health, and help save the environment. We certainly had ambitious plans and goals when we launched Earth Day Dallas in 2011, but the attendance far exceeded all expectations, allowing us to grow into Earth Day Texas. As we move into our fourth year, we have engaged more than 150,000 attendees. This year’s Eco Expo boasts approximately 800 exhibit spaces. The largest of its kind, the Eco Expo gives us the opportunity to appreciate the role that business plays in our green future. This one-of-a-kind, two-day event features entertainment, education, and inspiration for the whole family. The event offers eco-friendly family activities, enlightening talks, hands-on workshops provided by environmental leaders, and over 20 lectures and panels of speakers. We are also excited to introduce the EDTx Rising Stars Music Competition and Showcase and feature local music from The Polyphonic Spree. We proudly present two fine art exhibits from internationally renown artists Tom Uttech and Robert B. Haas. Additional “edu-tainment” activities include The Home Depot Workshops, interactive OmniGlobes, Aardvark touch screen games for all ages, and tree-climbing instruction. We strive to provide something for everyone. Thank you for your support and for opening your arms to EDTx. Most especially, thank you for helping Texas to be a leader in Environmental and Water-Conservation Awareness.

BMW i
GREEN STILL MEANS GO. When we set out to build an electric car, we set out to build a BMW. And we did just that with the first-ever, all-electric BMW i3 with 170 hp and up to 110 electric miles on a single charge.* It aims to take driving to a whole new dimension—so hold tight, because where we’re going, there’s no looking back.
