venues were used to give the broadest experience of the city as possible. The Town Hall’s Great Hall was the venue for a splendid Civic Reception which formed the back drop of the official opening. The imposing Hilton Hotel accommodated a VIP guided tour for past and future organisers of EASA. The northern quarter’s new addition - the HIVE provided ancillary workshop space during the week and exhibition space during the city wide easaDAY. While Manchester Metropolitan University provided University Place and the splendid Holden Gallery for a day of lectures and the workshop fair to get the assembly started, Victoria Baths served to round off the fortnight in fine style, hosting the final presentations.
