Quarry increase concerns local residents

An increasing number of quarries are appearing in the barrocal algarvio area, according to residents, which covers parts of Faro, são brás and tavira councils. a spokesman from PrObaal, the group formed as a legal association for local people said “more quarries are appearing in the moncarapacho/santa catarina area, and in other locations of the barrocal algarvio too. these quarries don't appear to be licensed properly or are included in the municipal land planning, municipal master Plan. they are also located in protected environmental areas." "residents feel their quality of life and water resources in the area are being affected". european union directives state groundwater is a valuable natural resource and as such should be protected from deterioration and chemical pollution. this is particularly important for groundwaterdependent ecosystems and for use in water supply for human consumption,” he said. “the groundwater being affected is the moncarapacho/ Peral aquifer, so it would seem that these quarries are in breach of this eu directive as the protected area is certainly deteriorating from its activities. there are also more quarries across the barrocal valley area covered by tavira, Faro and são brás câmaras.”

liver transplantation - in this surgical procedure, a diseased liver is removed and replaced with a healthy, donated organ. liver transplantation may be an option for some people with small, early-stage liver tumors and for certain people with bile duct tumors. as with any illness, serious or not, as soon as you feel unwell, get it checked out. if your body is in pain, there is something wrong. if your car was making a funny noise, you would take it to the garage. treat yourself better than your car, you cannot be replaced. listen to your body and act, please. gareth Bullock The Bowen Technique.

Your liver processes most of the nutrients absorbed from your small intestine and determines how much sugar (glucose), protein and fat enter your bloodstream. it also manufactures blood-clotting substances and certain proteins. Your liver performs a vital detoxifying function by removing drugs, alcohol and other harmful substances from your bloodstream... DiagnOsis - if you experience any of the symptoms of liver cancer, your doctor will ask you about your medical history and perform a physical exam. tests and procedures used to diagnose liver cancer include: ultrasound (ultrasonography) - this test uses sound waves to produce a picture of internal organs, including the liver. ultrasound is painless and usually takes less than 30 minutes... computerized tomography (ct) scan - this test uses X-rays to produce cross-sectional images of your body. You may also have a variation of the test — known as a ct angiogram — in which contrast dye is injected into an artery in your mliver.agnetic resonance imaging (mri)mri creates images using a magnetic field and radio waves. sometimes a contrast dye also may be used. liver biopsy - in this procedure, a sample of tissue is removed from your liver and examined under a microscope. liver biopsy is considered the only definitive way to diagnose liver cancer. blood tests - doctors sometimes use a blood test that checks for the presence of alpha-fetoprotein (aFP) — a type of protein found in small amounts in adults — to detect liver cancer. TReaTmenTs Of liVeR CanCeR treatments for primary liver cancer depend on the extent (stage) of the disease as well as your age, overall health, feelings and personal preferences. discuss all of your options carefully with your treatment tteam.hegoal of any treatment is to eliminate the cancer completely. When that isn't possible, the focus may be on preventing the tumor from growing or spreading. in some cases palliative care only is appropriate. Palliative care refers to treatment aimed not at removing or slowing the disease but at helping relieve symptoms and making you as comfortable as possible. surgery - the best treatment for localized resectable cancer is usually an operation known as surgical resection. in some cases, the area of the liver where the cancer is found can be completely removed. You aren't a candidate for surgical removal of liver tumors if you have cirrhosis or only a small amount of healthy liver tissue. even when resections are successful, there is a chance the cancer can recur elsewhere in the liver or in other areas within a few years. Radiation therapy - this treatment uses high-powered energy beams to destroy cancer cells and shrink tumors. radiation may come from a machine outside your body or from radiation-containing materials inserted into your liver. radiation may be used on its own to treat localized unresectable cancer. Chemotherapy - this treatment uses powerful drugs to kill cancer cells. chemotherapy may be systemic — meaning it travels throughout your body in your bloodstream — or regional. systemic chemotherapy is generally not effective in treating liver cancer, but may be a treatment option in certain cases.

his month we are pleased to feature tavira lounge, opened a year and a half ago, owned and importantly run by Jorge and Katia. this is a beautiful place to both enjoy a drink, or sample the varied, delightful cuisine. tavira lounge is situated on the West side of the river Gilao, and overlooks the stunning roman tbridge.hecouple met in 2006 when Jorge was working at the terra estreita beach in santa luzia, while Katia was on holiday visiting her mother who lived there. Katia was living in belgium at the time, where she ran two successful businesses, a cleaning company and a model agency, having modelled herself for some 17 years. Jorge was a freelance Film and tv producer, based in lisbon. Jorge and Katia visited each other in their respective countries over the next year. Katia had always thought that one day she would move from belgium and “settle abroad” in a new and exciting “adventure”. she decided to change her life direction, sell her business' and spend six months in lisbon to see how it felt to live in another country and give the relationship a real chance. this was extended to twelve months, after which Katia decided that city living wasn't for her. she moved back to belgium, but quickly realised that her future didn’t lie there either. Katia returned to Portugal where Jorge had also decided it was time for a change. together they embarked on searching for the right place to run a business, the algarve being their choice of destination. they began their search, with the intention of opening a waffle, ice cream, and pancake parlour. after travelling the whole of the algarve, they almost settled for a site in albufeira. both felt that whilst they could run a successful business there, it wasn’t the place they wanted to live. the search continued, and whilst visiting Katia’s mother again, and having always loved tavira, they decided to take a look around tavira itself. after just a few days they found their ideal site. this was the beginning of the stunning tavira lounge. the building stood as a mechanic’s yard for many years, and more recently an estate agent. Katia put her passion for interior decoration into creating a welcoming, modern, truly appealing place to relax for everyone. being a couple of mixed nationality, they have the same goal of wanting both foreign and Portuguese clients, young and old. they even have a childrens play area for the little ones. their aim is to provide good food and drinks, at non-tourist prices. Jorge and Katia are pictured above on their terrace area at the edge of the river, beside the main building. here you can enjoy an abundance of

W e are delighted to introduce to you bart and simone, whom we met on a glorious day in the beautiful setting of vila monte hotel and spa. bart and simone run the east algarve Golf academy which operates from both vila monte and colina verde. they met 17 years ago in their native holland, where bart was a professional Golfer and simone was working in the restaurant at which he was based. simone, at the time knew nothing about golf, whilst bart was the resident Professional. to enable bart to use his talents fully, they moved from holland to Portugal in October 2009, in search of a better climate. initially they settled in alvor, where bart worked at the Penina resort, in the Western algarve. Within six months the recession began to bite. the client base dwindled as fewer and fewer people were holidaying. added to this, the very bad winter of that year forced them to, very reluctantly return to holland. they were almost packed and mentally ready to leave, when during a complete chance meeting, a couple who ran a golf school at vila monte spa hotel asked if bart could help with lessons. this

Photographs by Richard bassett Bill harley and arthur Walter davidson created the one cylinder motorcycle in milwaukee in 1903. it was a reliable and beautiful motorcycle. by 1905 they had made 11, and in 1908, 154. the company was originally based in a small wooden barn made by davidson’s father. the infamous bar and shield logo followed in 1910, this was to become the defyining symbol of harley-davidson and still is to this day. after much development, numerous race wins, endurance contests and hill climbs, harley-davidson had gained more recognition, and 1912 saw their first export to Japan. they survived the great depression and with the us military, sent over 20,000 motorcycles to the 1st world war, (gaining the army-navy “e” award for commitment and excellence), answering the patriotic call again in 1940. they have been ridden by the los angeles police department since 1930, and today there are over 1,500 dealerships worldwide, offering over 35 models from touring to custom motorcycles.

mark says that over all the organisers were very happy with the outcome. a great, friendly event, with stunning motorcycles and fun for all ages, we very much hope to see them again next year. if you would like more details they can be contacted at www.algarvechapter.com, or facebook, page h.d. algarve.

T rying to sell your property in the current market is not easy, even when priced right and presented at its very best. Property transaction volume has slowed down to a trickle. in good times it took on average 9 months for a property to be sold, now it takes much longer due to a lack of buyers. no wonder more and more home owners are considering to let their property to cover running costs and gain some income. this way at least they are getting paid to hwait.owever, there are some pitfalls too. For short term holiday lets a rental license is required by law (licença de alojamento local). depending on the location (council) and type of property, the cost varies between euro 1000 to 1250. the license is valid for 8 years and may add value to the property for a prospective buyer who is interested in a buy to

Page 19 let investment. if you rent out your property without this license you risk a fine of up to euro 3750. For a long term let this license is not required. in this case it is important to make clear to the tenant that your main aim is to sell the property and for them to provide access for viewings. another advantage of a long let versus short term holiday letting is you do not incur changeover cleaning costs and meet & greet expenses. in addition, the utilities are also for the expense of the tenant. Furthermore, renting out your property bring benefits that go beyond gaining some income, e.g. the property is heated in winter, frequently ventilated, cleaned and kept in good condition. in addition, there is less safety risk (burglary). should you decide to go this route, always remember your main goal is to sell the property. this is especially true in a declining market. after all, what is the point of gaining some rental income only to find out a year later that property prices have fallen even more? that’s why it is important to get the asking price right. however, as the market has already been in decline for a number of years, this represents a smaller risk than if we would be at the beginning of a price correction. if you find it difficult to sell your house and would like to know more about the pros and cons of letting, why not contact us today for an appointment to discuss your requirements free of charge and without any obligations? For parties of ten or more they offer group prices of 10 euro’s per person, which will include, garlic bread, pizza, coffee and a litre of wine per person, amazing value. charles kindly invited us to try his speciality garlic bread, very unique and delicious. Pizza napoli is open every day from 12pm - 3pm and 6.30pm until 11pm. Whether you are visiting alone, have that special occasion coming up, or plan to get a group of friends together, we would highly recommend a visit. There are so many different kinds of herbs and your first step in planning a garden is to choose the ones you want to grow. if you are new to herb gardening you will probably want to start with those that you can have the most fun using. culinary and fragrant herbs can be used to make teas, jellies, herbed butters and breads, and preparations such as potpourris and sachets. i have selected 5 different types of herbs for you to try, but these are just a few that you could grow so give them a try, because even now it is not to late to get the seeds planted. there is no set way or place to grow your herbs. they can be raised like vegetables in rows or plots, neatly staked off and labelled. You can integrate them into the landscape as ground covers, edgings, or companion plants with other ornamentals. Or, more casual plantings can grow in corners of the garden or small sections of a border. You also can grow herbs in containers both outside and indoors. if you are more ambitious and want to be traditional, you can plan the kind of formal herb garden which originated in the middle ages.

hCORianDeRowtogrow coriander doesn’t like being moved, so it’s best sown where you want it to grow, either in the ground or in large pots. sow in late spring or early isummer.naugust sow some more in pots on the windowsill for a supply during autumn and winter. coriander is annoyingly quick to flower and set seed before it has produced much leaf, so it’s best to sow little and often. Watch out for fine, feathery leaves – a sure sign the plants are about to flower. how to care for coriander Well-drained soil in a sunny spot is essential. if you’re growing it indoors on a windowsill, give it plenty of light and don’t over water. how to harvest Keep picking mature leaves as and when you need them. regular cropping should delay flowering. Once the plants do flower, allow them to set seed. the seed is ripe when it stops smelling unpleasant. collect it and use in cooking, keeping some to sow for another crop. Recommended varieties if you want the leaves choose ‘cilantro’ and ‘leisure’, which are slow to form seeds. if it’s seed you’re after, go for moroccan coriander. hPaRsleYowtogrow

You can start sowing basil towards the end of march on a sunny windowsill. it’s very sensitive to cold and will blacken at the slightest hint of frost, so make sure your early sowings are protected. Once the young plants reach about 15cm tall, remove the shoot tip to encourage more leafy growth and a bushier plant. When the warmth of June arrives, you can sow another batch outside and move any indoor plants outside to the patio. make a final sowing in august to give you fresh basil into autumn. Buying basil in pots You can also buy basil in pots from the supermarket or garden centre. look for bushy plants with lots of side-shoots and no sign of flowering. You can then make more plants by taking cuttings. cut off a piece of stem about 8cm10cm long, just below a leaf joint. remove the lower leaves, then pop the cuttings in a jar of water and wait for them to form roots. Once they’ve rooted, pot them in free-draining compost. how to care for basil Keep your basil in the sunniest spot you can find – preferably a south-facing windowsill or patio (once there’s no risk of frost). Water sparingly and remove flower spikes – if these are allowed to mature, your plants will stop growing new leaves. how to harvest Pick individual leaves from the top of the plant and feed with a liquid fertiliser afterwards. then leave it to grow again. if you find that you have a bumper crop at the end of summer, pick the lot and make it into pesto. it freezes really well if you leave out the parmesan, which can be added before use. Recommended varieties sweet basil, often sold as ‘sweet Genovese’ has the classic basil taste. Greek basil is compact and bushy with tiny leaves, so there’s no need to chop them before cooking. ‘Green ruffles’ has the classic basil flavour with a crinkly leaf texture, while ‘thai’ is a spicy hot basil. ‘cinnamon’ has a flavour rather like aniseed sweets, or for a fresh lemony tang try ‘mrs burns’ lemon’. For ornamental use in window boxes or edging beds, try ‘Purple ruffles’ for its crinkly purple leaves.

it is best to keep those herbs that require different amounts of water (such as the mints and thyme) at separate ends of the bed. some herbs do not require as much sun as the others and can be planted near taller kinds that will filter direct sunlight before it reaches them, or, you can locate the bed where one section will receive fewer hours of sunlight each day than the rest of the bed.

Parsley is a biennial – flowering then dying in its second year – but is usually grown as an annual. it's notoriously slow to germinate, but is worth growing from seed for a good supply of leaves. sow from march onwards on a sunny windowsill. the best time to sow is July when you can plant outside direct into the ground or into large pots at least 30cm wide. Keep the seed well watered to aid germination and they should sprout in three to four weeks. if you haven’t the time or patience to grow from seed, buy a parsley plant from the supermarket or garden centre. cut it back to within 5cm of the base and then repot into a larger container without disturbing the roots. how to care for parsley Parsley prefers damp soil in partial shade. You’ll need to protect it from slugs and if carrot fly is a problem, cover with fine mesh. Parsley is hardy but it will produce fewer leaves in winter if left outside. cover plants with a cloche or move potted parsley indoors or to the greenhouse to give you fresh leaves in winter. try growing curly parsley as an ornamental border edging – it looks great with French marigolds. how to harvest Parsley can be picked continually and will constantly produce new growth but it’s worth picking a good bunch, chopping the leaves and freezing for use in winter when leaf production declines. Recommended varieties For curly-leafed parsley choose ‘champion moss curled’ or ‘Green Pearl’; for flat-leafed go for ‘Plain leaved 2’. both should be readily available. hlemOngRassowtogrow lemongrass can be grown from seed sown from late January to march. as it’s a tropical plant, the seed needs heat to germinate so sow in a heated propagator. transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle and grow them on in the greenhouse or on the kitchen windowsill. lemongrass is readily available nowadays in most large supermarkets as cut stems. Providing the stem is fresh and the base hasn’t been overtrimmed, you can get it to root in a jar of water before potting it up. how to care for lemongrass Keep your lemongrass well watered

hThYmeowto grow thyme is an evergreen dwarf shrub and a huge range of varieties is available in garden centres. buy in spring for planting in beds or containers. how to care for thyme Whether you’re growing the twiggy bush types or the carpeting mat forms, all like a warm sunny site in well-drained soil that's low in nutrients. add grit to the planting hole or container. thyme thrives in chalky soils. trim plants after flowering to keep them neat and encourage new growth. best treated as short-lived herbs that will need replacing every three years or so. either buy new plants or take cuttings from new shoots in early spring or summer. how to harvest snip off twiggy stems as you need them and strip off the leaves. Or hang in bunches to dry and then store in an airtight container. Recommended varieties the most popular culinary type is the common thyme (thymus vulgaris); try the variegated ‘silver Posie’ or lemon thyme, t. citriodorus, which goes particularly well with fish. OReganO, (marjoram) how to grow although dried oregano is widely available, you’ll struggle to find fresh leaves in the shops so it’s well worth with light, well-drained soil. it's perfect for containers. be sure not to over water and give variegated types some shade at midday. cut back after flowering and feed with a liquid fertiliser. how to harvest Pick the leaves whenever you need them for using fresh, and dry some for later use. tie cut stems in a bunch, and hang in the kitchen to dry. crumble the dried leaves off the stalks and store in an airtight container. Recommended varieties try wild marjoram (Origanum vulgare) in the green-leafed form. also try golden oregano (O. vulgare ‘aureum’) and compact oregano (O. vulgare ‘compactum’) with its golden-green foliage. ‘country cream’ has cream and green ileaves.fyouhave not seen the herb you want to grow, don’t worry as i will be extending the list in next month’s issue including herbs like dill, sage and tarragon. Keep just moist in winter and ensure you don’t over water. lemongrass fares best if grown permanently in a container in the greenhouse or on a sunny windowsill. how to harvest cut off one stem close to the root and use 10-12 cm of the stalk starting from the base and discarding the outer leaves. Recommended varieties lemongrass (cymbopogon citratus) doesn’t have any named varieties so go for the plain type as either plants or – if you’re feeling adventurous –seed.

Swimming and the enjoyment of nature With the fantastic weather conditions we are blessed with in the Algarve a pool is a feature that most people want in their gardens. some people swim in a con ventional swimming pool complete with pump, filter and chemical system to maintain the quality and cleanliness of the water. Others however like to swim in a natural lake, without chem icals and sharing the water with the plants and animals natural to the habitat. now both of these choices can be combined and to the surprise of many, at the cost of around half of that of a conventional swimming pool of a similar size. the landscape architect vitthal Fuchte has now lived and worked for 15 years in the algarve, designing, building and maintaining gardens and his ecological swimming ponds are designed and built with expertise and know how in harmony with na ture and the ecology. these swimming ponds maintain such clean water because they are oxygenated by sub aquatic plants in deepwater beds together with the splashing of a waterfall feature. the pond water is also pumped through a sand filter like a conventional pool and controlled by a timer to remove the organic matter to maintain the clarity of the water. a trained swimming pond cleaner in addition to undertaking regular backwashing of the filter to eliminate the fine organic debris also uses the system to vacuum the pond bottom to remove accumulated silts. thus the experience of murky waters in such ponds is a thing of the past. in concept, the ecological swimming pond consists of a large swimming area, free of plants. along the sides, enclosed by submerged walls, are the areas for water recuperation and oxygenation where the sub aquatic plants create a dense underwater forest. Finally the shallow margins give life to a vast variety of flowering marginal plants such as yellow flag, water clover and marsh Pennywort

The decision whether to play a charge or die putt comes with experience, think about the slope, the state of play and the speed of the green. slope any uphill putt is a potential charge. You can afford to be bold with the putt but there is little point in charging a downhill putt, because if you miss, the ball rolls well past the hole. One downhill exception is when the green is so slow that the ball can't go too far past the hole. hit the die instead of the charge if you have to putt across a very steep slope. a charge gathers pace on the slope and unless you hole out, the ball runs by. speed When a green is lightening fast you should aim to die the ball at the hole. On a very slow green you can charge most putts unless it's severely downhill. state of play. You can take an aggressive approach to a downhill putt if you need a birdie to avoid losing the hole or a match. but there is no point hitting a charge when you have the luxury of two putts to win. be content to take the two putts by dying the ball at the hole. Pace and Practice. Whatever your choice, judging the pace of the putt is all important. Knowing how firmly to hit a putt along different lines comes with experience. You should experiment on the practice putting green. For both types of putt you must pick a spot to aim at. With a die putt it's best to pinpoint a spot you want the ball to roll over between you and the hole. With a charge, choose a point level with the hole and aim to hit the ball at it. if you read the break properly the ball hits the back of the hole and drops in. When you are deciding how hard and how wide you need to hit the ball towards the hole, it is essential to visualize the path and how the slope affects it. being able to way up the facts quickly and make the right decision on the putting green - do you want to charge or die? - is vital to protect your score. Often it's a decision that must be made under pressure in a match - prepare yourself by brushing up these putting skills. good putting, Keith PuTTINGSPEED AND LINE SLICk GREEN When a green has been newly mown for a competi tion, it's usually very fast. On the same -sloped green of normal speed your decision to charge or die depends on how confident you feel and whether you need to attack or defend your score. It's foolish to charge if a two putt wins you the hole. SLOW AND GRASSY When the same green hasn't been cut for a few days and is slow, the ball will not break as much as normal so you can afford to charge most of your putts. Even if you miss, the ball shouldn't run too far by.

Two draws and an away win were enough to ensure that the Olhão team finished in a respectable eleventh position in liga ZOn sagres as the season reached its conclusion. Portimonense have been relegated so Olhanense will, next season, present the only opportunity to see Premier league football south of setubal, 280kms to the north and seville 190kms to the east. may day saw the Olhanense fans welcome the mighty benfica to the Jose arcanjo stadium. Knowing that naval had lost 2-1 to nacional the home side would secure their Premier league status with just a point, but that would be a tall order against the europa league semi-finalists. Jara was always the biggest attacking threat for the eagles and his goal after just four minutes could have been the first of many for the lisbon side. toy, voted Player of the Year for Olhanense, worked tirelessly but chances were few and far between for the home side. rui duarte entered the fray when he replaced delson and he had an immediate impact with his industrious work rate. With fifteen minutes remaining veteran striker djalmir entered the fray as the home side pressed forward. deep into stoppage time, and with one last roll of the dice, rui duarte whipped over a corner that found the head of djalmir and the back of the net. the fans went wild, champagne corks popped and celebrations carried on well into the night. a week later Olhanense felt that winning feeling again for the first time since way back in early February thanks to a toy goal in the second half at nacional. With only sixteen fit players the dugout looked rather sparse and when mexer was injured after just 12 minutes the omens looked bleak. but tavira born keeper bruno vermissimo was inspirational as he kept out the nacional attack virtually single-handed. despite constant pressure by the home side it was the visitors who took the lead on fiftytwo minutes. a fast counter-attack saw delson lay the ball out wide to rui duarte. the skipper’s cross field pass picked out toy in acres of space on the right. toy calmly strode into the penalty area and stroked the ball home past the diving bracali.

Fifty years ago in 1961, Olhanense gained promotion to the National League. Luciano Jorge Fernandez, a young central defender, had an outstanding season which brought him to the attention of Benfica. Two years later he joined the Lisbon club. The ’60s was Benfica’s golden era as the club won an astonishing eight championships, the Portuguese Cup three times and two European Champions titles. Luciano was a part of the great team that included Eusébio who scored an incredible 727 goals in 715 games, a record that will never be surpassed. But tragedy struck on the 5th December 1966 when seven players, including Eusébio and Luciano, were using the hydro-massage pool after training. An electrical malfunction caused a tremendous shock and Luciano was killed instantly. Due to the quick reaction of one of the players who jumped out of the bath and disconnected the electrical supply, the others survived and made a full recovery.

Tavira's only Englishbookshop.Language Best selection of fiction strong local interest Algarve Fantastic books children. Aheartwarming, simple, and surprisingly biblical glimpse into a little four year old boy's journey into heaven. colton burpo was four year's old when he found himself at death's door. his family didn't realize he had made his amazing journey until small but shocking revelations that amazed and bewildered his parents began to leak out. colton didn't just have one sit down conversation, he let his journey be known one startling revelation at a time. the true story of the four-year old son of a small town nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. he survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. the family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear. colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before colton was born, then shared impossibleto-know details about each. he describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and his chair are, and how the holy spirit "shoots down power" from heaven to help us. told by the father, but often in colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last hbattle.owcould this little boy know these things? how could he know about relatives who had died long before he was born? how could someone so young offer such amazing insights into heaven, christ, and the glories that await christians? how could he know things he'd never been taught and couldn't know? colton burpo's story was a refreshing and surprisingly accurate portrait of what awaits each of us whose destiny is heaven. i read the book with a critical eye, looking for those little details that would prove this story to be at best inaccurate or at worst a fraud. i couldn't find them. his tale seemed honest. his descriptions fit the way a child would describe things, not one whose words had been fed him by an adult. some of his revelations were simply amazing! aBOuT The auThOR todd burpo is pastor of crossroads Wesleyan, a wrestling coach, a volunteer fireman, and he operates a garage door company with his wife, sonja, who is also a children’s minister, busy pastor’s wife, and mum. colton, now an active 11-yearold, has an older sister cassie and a younger brother colby. the family lives in imperial, nebraska. Who would be blessed by this book? i'd honestly say almost anyone. if you've recently lost a loved one or maybe you are a mother who has lost a child to miscarriage. You can find something here that will warm your heart and quite possibly help ease your pain. this book is a sweet, touching, and amazing story. i hope this review helps you make your choice of whether or not to pick up a copy of this book. i'd recommend you do.
