CREDITS GENERAL EDUCATION CERTIFICATION FROM KENTUCKY PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS
• Students who meet the general education core (33 hours) requirements from a Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) college or a Kentucky public four-year institution are considered general education certified at EKU. • Students who earned an AA or AS degree from a KCTCS institution are considered to be general education certified. However, they are subject to any specific supporting courses required by the major to earn a degree from EKU. As part of the Kentucky General Education Transfer Agreement, students transferring to EKU from another Kentucky public college or university may be (1) category certified, (2) core certified, or (3) general education certified by the registrar of the school where the coursework was taken. EKU will honor these designations and is guaranteed to apply the Kentucky public school transferred general education courses into EKU’s general education curriculum in a manner that best serves the transferring student.
EKU DEGREE AUDIT REPORT • EKU DegreeWorks can be found by logging into EKU Direct at online.eku.edu and clicking on the “Student Services & Financial Aid” tab. Then click on “Student Records,” then “EKU DegreeWorks.” Here you will find your credit evaluation information.
