EKU is a School of Opportunity and choice that goes above and beyond to support its thriving Latino student population. In each of more than 100 in-demand degree programs, you will be instructed by experts in your field who will take you out of the classroom to gain real-world experience.

Each year, nearly 1,000 students complete an internship or co-op opportunity. Nearly half find permanent employment through these placements, with starting salaries significantly higher than those of other graduates. Whatever your passion, your future starts here.

BIENVENIDOS A EKU

EKU es una escuela de oportunidad que se esfuerza en apoyar a su población de estudiantes latinos. En cada uno de más de 100 programas universitarios, donde enseñan expertos en el campo de estudio, les ayudarán a obtener experiencia real fuera del salón de clase.

The Center for Inclusive Excellence and Global Engagement (CIEGE) works with students and the EKU community to retain traditionally underrepresented/ marginalized students by creating an inclusive environment where they can thrive, by celebrating their national and international cultures and supporting their personal and professional development.

This department offers courses that celebrate the language, literature and culture of global Spanishspeaking communities. Our students gain linguistic and cultural competency by engaging with the local Latino communities through service learning.

Bobby Verdugo & Yoli Rios Bilingual Peer Mentor and Tutoring Center “El Centro” The Center is a bilingual tutoring and mentoring center for all students. DR. RODNEY GROSS DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP

Students from various cultural backgrounds who are pursuing their first undergraduate or graduate degree can qualify for this scholarship based on several criteria including grade point average, test scores, a personal essay, extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation. FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Medina Endowed Scholarship For Latino students who are enrolled full-time and in good academic standing. This scholarship is distributed annually based on available funds. It’s renewable if criteria are maintained.

Dr. John A. Wade Latino Scholarship For Latino students who are full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing; demonstrate progress toward a degree at the university – in any major; and achieve an overall GPA of 2.5. This scholarship is distributed annually, based on available funds. It’s renewable for eight semesters if criteria are maintained.
