Comments Suggest west space is almost wholly allocated to three eco homes - no public access - control with a garden license who will own the land? What is proposed for the bank when lease expires?
2
An archaeological /historical/ religious survey of the south site is needed, as a person was buried there when there was a house on the space in 1870. Consideration must be given to the future use of Lloyd Bank site.
3
Something such as a meeting/entertainment centre or more choices of shops in the area for large people. More allotments please or community garden.
4
5
No houses on this site, much to close to very busy road, noise, pollution

The designation of both sites should be reviewed and if felt appropriate designate one or both as public open space to protect it from future development. There should be a combination of recreation and ecological enhancements,
Response The detailed design of the open space to the west and its access rights has not been yet established. The Council will decide it through the Eco-terrace housing competition. The open space will be used by the future residents of the terrace as an amenity and further works will require to comply with statutory planning notice. We do not have information on the future plans of the Lloyds Bank at the moment. The proposed landscape improvements works would not involve any construction and detailed survey is not required at this stage. The desktop archaeological survey has not warranted further investigations. The Lloyds Bank is included in the wider site landscape masterplan. Currently it is outside the control of EHDC. A facility of such scale is outside the scope of landscape design. The Eco-station will house a meeting facility. New allotments are proposed in the masterplan. The Exhibition House and competition Eco-terrace will explore the idea of community garden. Option for houses on the south site ( ‘clear and develop’) has been discontinued based on the consultation feedback. Both open spaces are owned by EHDC and maintained as publicly accessible open spaces. The consultation response has established a rare use of open space to the west of Fire Station. Whilst the open space to the

The existing green spaces, including playing fields and woodland should all be retained to serve any new development, not built over necessitating "mitigation" by developing farmland as a pretend dog walking area. If the area was tidier and more appealing then I would be more willing to spend time there rather than the dark rubbish tip its becoming. Constant maintenance to stop it turning back to what it is now.
south is used in a limited capacity to cut across, its improvement may encourage better use for recreation in the future. The option to ‘clear and develop’ is discontinued. The revised design proposal is for improving the open space and enhancement.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have informed colleagues at EHDC to remove the rubbish and we understand that it has since been removed. Regular maintenance will be required to any improved landscaped amenity space. The revised design will be discussed with the Council’s maintenance contracts team to ensure its coordination.
