A fun-filled summer! Many thousands of local children and adults are enjoying a fun packed summer of activities provided, or supported by your Council; from Park Sport to Fun Day Fridays, Summer of Sport to Eastleigh Unwrapped, play schemes to paddling pools. A range of events have provided the opportunity for people of all ages to take part in a variety of activities. More Park Sport and Summer of Sport sessions than ever before were booked as young people and adults enjoy a host of activities from basketball to boxing, sailing to ‘Strictly,’ free swimming and skate jams.
‘Eastleigh Unwrapped’ provided free performances across Eastleigh town centre including music, storytelling, street theatre, audio tours, explosive dance, circus fusion and acrobatics. The Asian Welfare and Cultural Association’s Eastleigh Mela attracted thousands of people too.
In this edition...
Cabinet Lead for Leisure Cllr Alan Broadhurst said “It’s great to see so many local people taking part in the broad range of events and activities in the borough.” Hundreds of children are enjoying a series of Fun Day Fridays in Eastleigh town centre with face painting, an animal farm, craft activities, rides, and magic shows. Children also enjoyed a range of exciting summer activities at Itchen Valley Country Park including summer camps, and arts and craft sessions.
