Welcome

We are delighted to welcome your child to our Kid’s Day Out program, a great Christ-centered place for all the little “extras.” Extra time for busy moms to rest or run needed errands without active children. Extra fun and activities for kids to thrive in a learning environment that is both energetic and nurturing. We offer quality care and teaching, with a balance of active and quiet play, crafts, recreation, stories and listening times appropriate for each age level. We allow plenty of time for snacks and lunch, with quiet time following lunch. In addition, we feature a dedicated music teacher who leads an interactive music rotation filled with puppets, instruments, book and rhythm in each classroom!

Tuesdays from 9:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. For children ages 3 months through Pre-K Wednesdays from 9:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. For children ages 3 months through Pre-K

Kid’s Day Out meets September 4/5 through May 7/8, with weeks off for fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break and Easter. There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $50 per child for the fall Kid’s Day Out session. This fee is due with the enrollment form; once received, it guarantees your child’s spot. Monthly fee structure: One child — $65 Two children — $120 Three children — $175 This fee is based on the weekly rate, multiplied by the number of weeks in the 2018-2019 session, and then divided by nine (the number of months in the session). This allows you to plan for and pay the same fee each month.

Special Requirements Parents, send and mark all items necessary for your child with their name, including diapers, bottles, pacifiers and extra clothing. Please send a nutritious, easily prepared (and easily eaten) lunch and drink for your child. Please keep in mind that a refrigerator and microwave are available only in the nursery. Prior to start of the session each family will receive a parent handbook and calendar with more detailed information and instructions.

FOOD POLICY

We are encountering an increasing number of children (and adults) with peanut allergies and have discovered how dangerous these allergies can be. The Kids department of Eastminster Presbyterian Church has therefore adopted a “NO PEANUT” policy for our children’s programs. We do not serve peanut butter or anything with any peanut or tree nut products in it to our children while at Eastminster. In support of this policy, we are asking you to refrain from sending any foods with peanuts or tree nuts of any kind in them in your child’s lunch. This includes most chocolate candies like M&M’s and many granola bars. Please carefully read ingredient lists on packages to help us keep our little ones safe. Questions? Contact Pam Van Bebber at 634.0337, ext. 2050, or pvanbebber@eastminster.org.
