An Affordable Graduate Degree
In-state maintenance fees and out-of-state tuition are calculated on a per semester-hour basis. Rates are subject to change. All students must verify their residency by submitting the EVEA form.

PAYING FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL
ETSU offers many ways to help finance your degree.
Graduate Assistantships
Units across the university offer graduate assistantship opportunities. Graduate Assistants can either work in teaching, research, or administrative roles depending upon the position. Graduate Assistants receive tuition assistance and a monthly stipend for nine months.
Tuition Scholarships
Many programs offer Tuition Scholarships to new students. Tuition Scholarship recipients have a service obligation of 120 hours per semester to receive tuition assistance.
Financial Aid
Domestic graduate students are eligible to apply for federal financial aid. The first step in the process is completing the FAFSA. ETSU’s Financial Aid Office offers personal financial aid counselors to help you through the process. ETSU’s FAFSA Code is 003487.
Scholarships
ETSU also offers scholarships to in-state and out-of-state students. Some are determined by your geographic location, distance from the university, or county that you reside in. Many are renewable and may be as high as $17,000 per year.

Employee Tuition Assistance
Some companies offer tuition assistance for employees who seek further training, including graduate degrees. Check with your Human Resources department to see if this may be an option for you.

Application Deadlines and Start Terms
Each graduate program has varying application deadlines that determine the semester you will begin your enrollment.

General Admissions Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale (some programs have higher GPA requirements)
• Completed admissions application
• Non-refundable application fee of $55 (domestic students)
• One unofficial transcript from every college or university where you have taken courses
• GRE or GMAT test scores if required by your program of choice (Many ETSU graduate programs do not require a GRE or GMAT)
