Tabou 2011 Da Curve w testach

Page 1

Shape: The Tabou DC 79 TE is very compact. It is shorter and thicker than the other boards. It has 4 slot boxes; this for sure helps it to be one the lightest in the group.

On the Water: The Tabou DC 79 as been the choice of the test team because it adapts itself to all different riders levels. This board makes you able to keep moving because of its early planing capabilities and gives you a safe grip on the fins in a straight line to accelerate or go upwind. It is very forgiving in the surf and has no limit when you push it. So how ever you push yourself in the curve and on the wave position you can always make nice and smooth turns. But also the most high level guy's describe it as a super lively and playful board that can carve really tight. It fits perfectly to the modern wave riding where you do carves and tricks because it is so versatile and alive. You can put it wherever you want whenever you want. In the wave that board gets speed naturally no matter if its hollow waves or soft waves. Rail to rail is very fast this allows you to make a lot of turns in the pocket of the wave. Maybe it's not as controllable as the Quattro Quad KT and Fanatic Quad at full speed in big waves but it compensates this with better planing ability and efficiency in side onshore condition's.

The verdict: Tabou deliver us this year a very successful Da Curve that combines versatility, great carving and super lively feeling for modern wave riding. Very reactive and forgiving, this board as been the choice of our test team with sails under 5.0 in every kind of wave condition.

Plus:

Lively ( reactivity), Manoeuvrablility ( loose in surf) Wave surfing, versatility (Allround ability)

Minus:

RAS ( Rien A Signaler) it means nothing to declare
