Made up of three regions: Valencia, Alicante and Castellon, Costa Blanca is one Spain’s fastest growing golfing destinations. Despite being overshadowed by arguably Europe’s number 1 golfing destination, the Costa Del Sol, the area is home to a number of incredible golf courses; some of which are hidden gems and others well known masterpieces.
The areas growing popularity is testament to the number of high quality golf courses and when you add in 300 days of sunshine a year into the mix, you have every reason to play your game at the Costa Blanca. It is indeed a great golfing destination. Let’s sum up some of the most popular golf courses at the Costa Blanca.

Las Colinas Country Club Golf Course is a must visit for golfers of all abilities. This is due to the clever design with wide fairways, the smoothness of the rising greens, the amount of trees throughout the course and the six lakes it is built around.
Parador de El Saler golf course is considered as one of the 60 best in the world, and recently, in World Golf Magazine, the 9th in Continental Europe.
Parador de El Saler
Easily one of the regions well known courses, El Saler sits in the heart of the Albufera Nature reserve and skirts the stunning Mediterranean coastline. Having previously hosted the European Tour’s Spanish Open, the course is geared up to test even the best golfers. Once seen as one of Europe’s best golf courses, the unique nature of its layout winding through woodland and hugging the coast, creates a fantastic golfing experience to enjoy.
Villaitana - Levante Course
Designed by 18 time major champion Jack Nicklaus, courses in Costa Blanca do not come much better than this. The ‘Golden Bear’ has created one of countries most enjoyable tests with wide and gently undulating fairways that provide a fair challenge for players of all abilities. From the tips the course measures in at over 7,200 yards suggesting that it would favour the longer hitters. However, with the course echoing an ‘American Resort’ style it means there are plenty of tee boxes for everyone to play from.
Font Del Llop
Located in the heart of Alicante and set amongst the dramatic foothills of the surrounding mountains, you will be hard pushed to find a course with better inland views than Font Del Llop. The course itself has been merged beautifully with the natural landscape to create a series of undulating fairways and greens which place a great emphasis on accuracy over power. With 5 different lakes on the course, water is a constant threat but if avoided there are plenty of chances for birdies around Font Del Llop.
Bonalba Golf Club
Bonalba Golf Club has featured on the European Challenge Tour on several occasions with some of game’s greats of yesteryear gracing the pristine fairways. The course itself is a brilliant place to play for all golfers with a number of birdie opportunities to be had on the front nine whilst the closing stretch requires a great deal of tactical golf in order to be successfully navigated. Despite only opening in 1995, the venue is considered as one of the best in the region and is a must play on any golf trip to Alicante.
La Finca
Located just 30 minutes from the airport, there aren’t many better places to play after getting straight off the plane than La Finca Golf Resort.
Designed by famous Spanish architect Pepe Gancedo, the combination of an incredible course in an even better setting makes for a truly memorable round of golf. La Finca truly has something for everyone as from the tips it is setup to test even the most skilled golfers but the variety of tee boxes make it very accessible for a wide range of abilities.
Las Colinas
With Las Colinas being under the management of the world famous Troon Golf, it is no surprise that it is regarded as one of the best courses in Alicante. The 18 stunning championship holes wind their way through the regions stunning valleys blending in effortlessly with the natural scenery.
The wide fairways, undulating greens and variety of tee boxes makes Las Colinas extremely versatile as it can challenge the most skilled golfers whilst still being enjoyable for the more social player.
