Styling in de ruimste zin des woords: materiaal- en kleurkeuze aan het begin van de (ver)bouw(ing). Ook is er veel aandacht voor het exterieur, zodat het object past in haar omgeving en binnen en buiten zoveel mogelijk één geheel vormen. Daarbij wordt ook veel rekening gehouden met het praktisch zijn en de juiste huiselijke sfeer, bijvoorbeeld door antiek te mixen met nieuw waardoor uw huis geen showroom wordt. Ook gaat de aandacht uit naar natuurlijke materialen. Nu we alweer ruim 3 jaar in de Costa Blanca Noord wonen, kennen we intussen de pareltjes om bijvoorbeeld uw keuken of sanitair uit te zoeken, maar ook de super toffe marktjes voor de accessoires met een verhaal. Deze keuken is bijvoorbeeld van Creativ Cocinas. Ook ga ik graag shoppen met u en kunnen we onderweg een lekker eetadresje aandoen. Naast Nederlands, Engels, Duits en Frans spreek ik ook genoeg Spaans ;)
Styling in the broadest sense of the word: choice of materials and colors at the start of the (re)construction. A lot of attention is also paid to the exterior, so that the object fits into its environment and inside and outside become one as much as possible. Practicality and the right homely atmosphere are also taken into account, for example by mixing antiques with new so that your house does not become a showroom. Attention is also paid to natural materials. Now that we have been living in the Costa Blanca North for over 3 years, we know the gems to, for example, pick out your kitchen or sanitary ware, but also the super cool markets for accessories with a story. For example, this kitchen is from Creativ Cocinas. I also like to go shopping with you and we can visit a nice place to eat along the way. Besides Dutch, English, German and French I speak enough Spanish ;)

Ferry van Houten is a Dutch chef and owner of the culinary boutique retreat
‘Casa Coline’ in Javea. As a professional culinary journalist, had the opportunity to accompany him on a culinary journey through Denia Mercy, where he took me to some of his favorite food stalls.
The market in Denia is a bustling hub of activity, with vendors selling everything from fresh seafood and meats to fruits and vegetables, handmade crafts, and souvenirs. It is a feast for the senses, with the sights, sounds, and aromas of Spain’s rich culinary culture filling the air.
Tallez brothers
Our first stop was at the Tallez brothers’ stall, where we tasted some of the finest Pata Negra ham in the region. The ham was sliced paper-thin and had a rich, nutty flavor that melted in our mouths.
Ferry explained that Pata Negra ham is made from free-range acorn-fed pigs and is aged for at least two years, giving it a distinctive flavor and texture.
Pescadería Cofradía
Next, we visited Pescadería Cofradía, a fishmonger specializing in local seafood. The display of fresh fish and shellfish was truly impressive, with everything from sea bream and sea bass to squid and octopus on offer. We selected some beautiful gamba roja, a type of red prawn that is highly prized in Spain for its sweet, delicate flavor. We also tried some fresh anchovies, which were grilled and served with a squeeze of lemon.
