HOW TO Exfoliate

Exfoliating your skin keeps skin fresh by buffing away and removing dead skin cells, making it easier for your serums and creams to penetrate the skin. Read our tips on how to exfoliate most effectively for a glowing, refreshed complexion.

DO exfoliate in the morning, as the skin repairs itself at night while we sleep a morning exfoliation will slough away the dead skin cells.

DO work up to daily exfoliation. Start slowly and exfoliate once or twice a week with a mild product, as your skin becomes more used to exfoliation you can work your way towards daily use.

DON’T over exfoliate with harsh physical or chemical exfoliants. Listen to your skin and always use products best suited to your skin type to avoid redness, peeling and flaking.

DO try a natural DIY exfoliant. Coconut oil mixed with finely granulated sugar is a great exfoliation for the body and for those with a stronger skin.

IF you have dry skin you should try a chemcical exfoliant with a low percentage of AHAs or BHAs.

ALWAYS follow exfoliation with a nourishing face cream or oil to keep your skin hydrated and supple.
