EBONY aspires to take its historical place as the largest Black owned media company, leveraging its iconic brand and generations of cultural relevance to build a global ecosystem of “always on” relevant content, products and services that continue to elevate, inform and influence Black lives.

Our authentic journalism will inspire the next generation of activism and creativity against a world that often times loves Black culture, but not Black people. Through the lens of Black journalists, we will continue to document the journey of Black people and Black culture while providing a path to actionable change. Our commitment to making information a lifestyle is only the beginning. We will document social justice, health & wellness, beauty, fashion, sports, education and all of the important life moments that matter and contribute to the American fabric.

REBIRTH OF AN ICON NEXT GENERATION OF CREATORS EBONY is an iconic brand with a new vision. To celebrate the re-birth of the, we commissioned Jon Moody to create the cover art for the re-birth digital cover. It is our mission to celebrate Black creatives and provide a platform for them to shine and showcase their work. As an artist and athlete, Jon Moody uses his abilities to provoke thought while aiming to break the myth that one is either an athlete or an artist. Boasting nearly 30,000 Instagram followers, Moody is having a true impact reaching others and raising awareness for social economic, and global issues through his art.

JON MOODY is an artist and athlete. He uses his abilities to provoke thought while aiming to break the myth that one is either an athlete or an artist. Moody's goal is to inspire not only other athletes, but all people to become global ambassadors for change. Jon received an M.A., painting in 2015 and a B.F.A., visual effects in 2014.
