To celebrate the rebirth of the, we commissioned Jon Moody to create the cover art for the re-birth digital cover. It is our mission to celebrate Black creatives and provide a platform for them to shine and showcase their work. As an artist and athlete, Jon Moody uses his abilities to provoke thought while aiming to break the myth that one is either an athlete or an artist. Boasting nearly 30,000 Instagram followers, Moody is having a true impact reaching others and raising awareness for social economic, and global issues through his art.

EBONY will host a block party focused on the Black family and those who bring it together. The Block Party will be a curated multi-market experience taking our audience on a storied journey from coast to coast while showcasing each community's strength and perseverance. In each market, we will highlight a segment entitled "What's Happening On Your Block." We will identify blocks with a heavy focus on big and small Black businesses. Our film crew will feature these businesses, highlighting their triumphs and pitfalls. The Block Party will stream live on EBONY.com and various partnered outlets. COOLEST BLACK FAMILY IN AMERICA

The Coolest Black Family In America Black family moments are centered around the dining table. From Sunday brunches to evening dinners, these moments have been a part of the Black family dynamic for centuries. EBONY will bring those stories to life by reimagining one of our popular features on EBONY.com called "The Coolest Black Family In America." We will place a CTA to Black families across the country to share their unique stories by giving us a seat at their table. Each month we will highlight a family with the most compelling story, telling us why they should be named "The Coolest Black Family In America" via video submission. Those submissions will be collected and featured on EBONY.com and social media channels. At the conclusion of the contest, the winning family will be featured during EBONY's Power 100, Sponsored by Coke.


COOLEST BLACK FAMILY IN AMERICA

Health and Wellness Overall well-being and health is a growing high priority within the Black community. Coke x EBONY can help drive that message forward. Each month, the featured Coolest Black Family in America will receive Coke x EBONY co-branded bikes for the entire family. Families will be encouraged to share their family riding moments to be aired on Coke x EBONY social media platforms.


DATE WITH A DISH

Black Culinary Experience Date With A Dish was a long-standing popular feature in EBONY Magazine. We will bring this feature to life as a virtual series. Coke x EBONY will create a 6-part virtual series. EBONY will pull from its network of Black owned restaurants and chefs to develop a food pairing menu with Coke. The dinning experience will be recorded and aired as a virtual series on EBONY.com and social media platforms. During the virtual dining experience, guests will have “family” conversations on topics facing the Black community. Through this partnership Coke x EBONY will encourage family bonding, spark meaningful conversations and support Black owned restaurants. November 2021 EBONY Magazine has honored the heroes of the Black community for over 76 years. EBONY Power 100 celebrates the 100 most inspiring and influential leaders of that year, who have made noteworthy contributions in the Black community. Previously a one-night gala, we will extend this event to a 2-day Bold, Brilliant and unapologetically Black experience! As a diversity and inclusion partner, Coke will be integrated in the program as a category sponsor, which includes a Coke moment, full page ad in the digital and print issue of the EBONY Power 100 program book and a table at the event. BLACK HISTORY EXPERIENCE

THE CREATIVE COMMUNITY OUTREACH Black History Experience Competition February – April 2022 In the 4th qtr 2021, EBONY will put out a CTA for Black creatives to curate a historic Black experience in a tech savvy immersive way. The experiences will cover told and untold stories of the Black American experience. The experience will be curated as a walk through the Black experience. Work submitted by creatives to be reviewed and chosen as exhibits in the pop-up experience. Creatives will work side by side with fabricators to develop their concepts. The competition will result in creatives seeing their work live and in-action at the Coke x EBONY Black History Pop- Up Tour. EBONY will partner with Black History Museums in multiple markets to house the pop-up experience. ELEMENTS: -Black Creatives Fireside Chats (Music, Art, Tech, etc.) -EBONY gift shop -Coke Bar (featuring creative ways to enjoy a Coke, curated specialty drinks)
