Welcome to our Masterclass Series. Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 are invited to find out, first hand, what makes an Ashford Senior School education so special. Meet our expert teachers, for some fun and dynamic sessions. Inspiring Minds is our strapline, and it's our belief that we inspire the minds of our students in every lesson, including the core academic subjects.
Join us at 08.45 on Saturday 12 March 2022 Harper Hall, Ashford Prep School, Great Chart, Ashford, TN23 3DJ Students can select three of the following sessions to attend. There will be drinks and refreshments on offer, and children are asked to bring their pencil cases, and encouraged to wear comfortable clothes. Parents are invited from 11.30 to Harper Hall to hear all about what their children have been doing. Mr Vafidis our Director of Teaching and Learning will be available, as will a number of teaching staff.

Dr Hiatt-Gipson and Mr Worrell – Chemistry A look at some explosive properties of metals and a ‘Hogwarts’ guide to magical flames.
Mr Barnett – DT A look into the digital world we live in. 'Programme' a volunteer to carry out a simple practical task and then create a BBCMicrobit programme to test your own balance!
Mr Vafidis – History A look at a mysterious discovery in a muddy field, where historians will use their best detective skills to piece together the grisly truth about our past.
